      Yup I never take it out of my kit, about halfway done with ng+ final fantasy run. And it truly is a must have if you want to get big stagger window numbers

    • @KahlevN
      @KahlevN Год назад +1

      With certain bosses it completely trivializes them. Just did the S rank Chimera on NG+, and all I had to do was drop a Rod on one of his fist AOE puddles that was near him, then baited his for breath into it as well. He mostly melted himself and went from a full Stagger bar to fully staggered state instantly. Did that twice with and he died crazy fast and didn’t get a hit on me.
      Any enemy with a fire breath Style attack or that drops damage pools like Morbols gets absolutely wrecked by that ability.

    Nobody noticed yet that Blind Justice has ONE amazing pro: the enemies all slow down but your CDs charge at the usual time. You basically get the Haste status.
    You can abuse that if you combine it with Rift Slip (+1, and standard accessory to shorten its time) and Cold Snap. You get the perks of an actual time mage.
    In fact I’m sure the only reason why nobody hit 2 millions DMG yet is because nobody began abusing this to charge their CDs even quicker than usual.

    • @DanBurtonCodes
      @DanBurtonCodes 11 месяцев назад

      It doesn't slow time nearly as much as rift slip. Its damage is not worth the time it takes to use compared to most other DPS options.

      Right, I put Ramuh after Garuda so I can use blind justice after deadly embrace half stagger knock/pull down. It not only deals a big chunk of stagger but allows medium duration eikonic abilities to finish cooling down. Commanding Torgal to discharge with a sic or ravage deals the best damage out of all the attacks I've found so far (tied with enchanted jump attack). Also, a full 9 charges (when discharged with Torgal) does about 45% of the stagger bar for big monsters and about 15% for boss bar monsters.

    My feelings on Lightning Rod summarized:
    THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! THAT'S WHY HE'S THE MVP! THAT'S WHY HE'S THE GOAT! THE GOAAAAT!!!
    (Judgement Bolt and Pile Drive are cool too)

  • @KahlevN

    Blind Justice can be nice if you’re facing a bunch of minions and things are on cooldown. It juggles really well, gives he same extended downing that other Ramuh abilities do, and since Torgal can activate it as well you can easily chain spam it on large groups by just doing it back to back and having Torgal attack to keep triggering it.
    Another great use of Lightning rod is in conjunction with Dancing Steel. When facing a single enemy you can drop a Rod directly on them, then trigger DS, and even with no accessories since the Rod also counts in terms of building Zan Gauge you’ll always end up with a full 5 bar at the end.

    • @ITNoetic
      @ITNoetic Год назад +1

      That combo really does invalidate the dancing steel accessories

    • @KahlevN
      @KahlevN 11 месяцев назад +4

      @@ITNoetic Yeah, dropping a lightning rod on an enemy, then doing Rift Slip into DS combo (in order to freeze time via Rift Slip to get the DS off easily) is a very easy and consistent way to get a rank 5 Zan from even just a single enemy. Makes the other Odin abilities and the accessories both useless imo.

      If abilities are on Cooldown, it’s better to use Megaflare than Blind Justice.

    • @KahlevN
      @KahlevN 11 месяцев назад

      @@blue-phoenix115 If there are more than 9 targets sure. But I actually like blind justice for add waves before bosses because they basically can't touch you because they are stunlocked, and you can use the time that it takes for you and Torgal to kill them to make sure all your abilities come back up before the boss spawns when the adds are down.

    Bruh, the combat depth in this game is ridiculous. I definitely feel and see the DMC influence, this is going to require at least four playthroughs to fully indulge in everything. I think my favorite Eikons are; Shiva, Phoenix, Odin, Bahamut. Honorable mention to Ramuh and Titan. FF16 is just fantastic game, very emotional.

      If there was a eikon I would use and only that eikon, it would be titan I think. His trial was the most fun for me I think. But as a full loadout, I end up using only raging fists and windup. I love the counter play style so I have shiva feat equipped with heatwave and raging fists. That’s the eikon I’m on for like 75 percent of boss fights when they aren’t staggered. Once you learn to get easy raging fists and perfect dodge permafrosts off, no boss can do anything lol. And then if they back off for a projectile heatwave is right there. It’s so much fun

    I hope if theres a dlc, you get the ability to slot in a 4th eikon. Even if its just on some crazy ng+ difficulty. Some times I wish I could have an additional 2 slots and a 4th feat.
    Edit: so having beaten the game now, im realizing the game would've been a total joke in terms of difficulty if you had a fourth eikon. It needs to be harder game first before you add an additional toolset for players.

    So if Blind Justice triggers a damage blast based on the damage of your followup attack, does that effectively double the damage of the Ramuh ultimate as well as spread its damage to nearby targets? Because then the combo becomes a lot more motivated, both for addclear and stagger 1.5 nuking.

  • @keenheat3335
    @keenheat3335 11 месяцев назад

    so based on the number in this video, each level of blind justice not only increase the number of lighting ball. But each initial hit have higher damage, at level 9 it does about 1.5 times more damage level 1. So it has quadratic scaling rather than linear scaling.
    Each lighting proc also scale up in damage as the level increases, from 4% of the damage that proc it at level 1, up to 31% at level 9. So the total proc damage also scale quadratically. Total proc damage account for number of each looks about 4% at level 1 and 280% at level 9.
    In another blind justice video I saw, some other player (level 47) proc off level 7 blind justice with Rime. Each rime tick damage is 29, but the proc off damage is 173.
    Blind justice proc might be based on the total damage of a multi-hit attack rather just damage of the first hit. Since total damage of rime is 1330, the proc is 173, so 13% scaling. It's more reasonable than 500% trend breaking scaling. It might suggest some synergy with long duration attack or long cooldown/charge attack. As long as the cooldown/charge time is longer than the time spent charging blind justice to level 9. Then you're coming out ahead in dps.
    Not sure if the proc damage it self scale of linearly with total attack damage or is it base on character level. But it might effectively 2x-3x damage of Level 5 zantetsuken/flame of rebirth. Functionally 1/2 or 1/3 the cooldown of long cooldown attack like flame of rebirth, earthen fury, dancing steel, etc.
    Another implication of this "total damage proc instead of just first hit" behavior is that for long execution attack like aerial blast, it might have really good synergy. Since the proc effectively pull forward all the proc damage for attack's entire duration, you can chain blind justice during aerial blast, and get multiple AE full durations worth of proc damage. Megaflare might be another good candidate to pair blind justice with. Since blind justice pull forward all the proc damage to the front, and can be cast multiple time during a level 4 megaflare. Effectively get multiple duration of megaflare.
    I don't have the game to test it. But blind justice might be overlooked by a lot player, since its extreme damage scaling only shows up at level 9 or only with high damage attack. But if you have the time, I would love to see another video that explore the damage scaling of blind justice with high damage/long cooldown attack like level 5 zantetsu and long execution time attack like aerial blast/megaflare. Particular at level 9 blind justice level. It seems to scale to ridiculous amount at max level.
