Really love the examples provided in the video! Especially using LR to counter the flame breath of the assassin style enemies 🤯 Can't wait for the next in the series!
Lmao what? There is so much that is unpolished. Love? They spent so little time developing it. The combat is overly complicated, unsatisfying, and unrewarding. The best thing about this game is the cutscenes.
The combat has depth but it still stiff in some areas and could definitely be more fluid like DMC. The side quests and story were lackluster imo@@tokenman12
Fabulous guide. One of the better out there. Really well polished. Clear explanations. I really appreciated you showing the control pad entries from arcade mode! Nearly finished my NG+ playthrough on FF difficulty and still managed to learn something from your video! Hope this gets much more attention!
Been binge watching your FFXVI videos on your channel man and I love every second of it. Those transitions are god tier. Great editing and the VO is clear and precise. Been learning a lot on these combo videos. Subscribed! 🎉
Not sure if it's just me, but Blind Justice does not activate when using magic or a physical attack. I have switch to the Eikon and hit the Feat button to discharge the orbs.
I don´t play FFXVI myself, so i have no idea about the accuracy of the information (though i have no doubts that anything incorrect). I must say, this is the best video i have seen and understood the most about the combat in this game and you made look FFXVI far more interessing looking, before it looks just like, fun cinematic combat with air juggles which looks impressive but is mostly unresponsive and have a lot of dead time, good to see this needs not to be the case. With the shock orbs you can place, you said they do more damage the more you place, did you mean total damage or single damage instance? If i would place 2 Orbs, and hit an enemy and the damage of the Orb would be 100 di i: a) Hit Both Enemy for 2x100 Damage b) THe struck enemy for 2x100 c) Struck enemy for 2x100 and the other for 1x100. If i now only place 1 Orb, does the Orb on hit still the 1x100 Damage to the enemy? or would that be less value, because it just one orb? I.e. 90 Damage? With the Lightning Rod places and orb on the Rod and say, on a Boss enemy, does the rod danage aslo trigger the Orb on the Enemy, double dipping so ton speak? You mentioned for Fire, that it´s an average stun/damage, but said nothing about that to the others (shadow/shock, sorry forgot the Monsters names). Anyhow, that was the best FFXVI video i´ve seen so far and looking forward to the next, even as a non player!
thank you you so much for this comment Paris! I'm really glad it resonated with someone who hasn't played the game yet 😁 As for your questions, if im understanding the first one correctly... the damage of every orb (including attachment damage and discharge damage) will increase for each additional orb launched from Ramuh's spear. So A.) Hit Both Enemy for 2x100 Damage would be correct. The data i gathered when testing was a bit "imperfect" for how the damage actually scales based on the number of orbs launched. There doesn't seem to be a consistent damage multiplier unfortunately. Which is why i tried keeping my explanation on the damage increase as simplified as possible. Yes, if you only launch one orb the damage will be far lower than if you placed 2 orbs and so on. So it's always best to place the maximum number of orbs possible based on your combat situation. So yes if two orbs are launched (one attaching to an enemy and one attaching to the Rod) damaging/attacking the Rod will cause the chain reaction on the second orb on the enemy. I showed this trick off very quickly at 12:58 Unfortunately forgot to mention this for the others 🤷♂️ and was a bit too late in the editing process to add it. BUT Garuda's (green/wind/air) damage is generally speaking lower than the other Eikons, but has really great stun damage (aka will power) and attack speed. Ramuh (purple/shock) is similar to Phoenix (orange/fire) in terms of damage and stun power (maybe a bit stronger for both, at least it feels that way) but has abilities that take more practice to master and get the most out of them like lightning rod.
Awesome content mate, I've beaten the game and I learned stuff I didn't know! Gouge + Rook's Gambit is a killer combo I hadn't thought about. What controller setup do you use?
It’s overly complicated….. I can’t do all these combos, focus on dodging, and know which eikon is equipped at all at once. The shitty controls make it that much harder as well

Glad you enjoyed! And stay tuned for the next one😁
You feel like a god replaying FF 16 using abilities that suits you best.
You can feel the love in the game❤

I really appreciate this! And thanks for pointing out the inclusion of the control pad as it was intentional to have it there :)
Duuuuuuudee. Setting up lightning rod and blind justice at @13:00 is so freaking epic. Amazing vid man :)
thank you so much😄
7:04 why is nobody talking about this transition?
thanks, I was waiting for someone to mention them 😄

Thank you so much for this comment it really means a lot! I’m glad you like the combo videos also, stay tuned for more ✌🏻
Great guide!
Thanks!
What is the background you use in the guide? It fits very well with the contents, subtle but great!
Lighting rod is one my favorite skills

Oh I've really learned something today. 😊
Since the making of this video Leviathan has been released I would very much like to see a video on that

Teach me how to fight like this 😩 I don't know what I'm doing 😅

This cant be real??? Dude its even written on the ui that its L2 have you not read anything the whole game??
