Good stuff! Seems like the consensus is that money does not buy happiness. The responses indicate that additional time does. Time that can be spent with family instead of commuting. Time spent learning, exploring, self-discovery, etc.
This is only my opinion: if people say they are happy, they should say "10", because being happy is like the best of the feelings a person can have, there is not a "8 happy"; if a person tells that feels like a 7 or 8, that means is not happy, is just "ok"; happy is the best feeling, so, it should be the highest number; happy = 10.

Remember, NYC has expensive living, soOo if it's $60k a year at a decently nice $5k a month apartment, they don't make $100k, they make $40k- $60k a year is ridiculously high for renting ANYTHING -
Makes me wonder how much I would make working the same job in NYC. My mortgage is probably 1/3 of what these people pay in rent, though. I feel like if you're making below $70k and living in NYC, you're struggling. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Like any big city, depends on how much you can tolerate - smaller / older / shittier places? Living further out / long commute? Never eating out? You can struggle in NYC with 70k if you don't make compromises. I have a software friend who made 150k+ share a place with 4 roommates and lived in the living room with a curtain over it back then. Did that for a year to pay off his student loans and more, moved to a tiny place with his gf (made more money at that point, with his gf dual income of 500k+), saved up super fast and bought his own big place. If a dude making 150k is ok with 4 roommates being in the living room, or making 300k (or 500k+ with gf) with just a small studio / loft, nothing stops people making 70k to not struggle. It's just about what you value / compromise. Lol
If you are referring to one of the younger people- Straight out of school= small amount of belongings, NYC=super high cost of living=very expensive apartment & high cost for just about any activity or daily expenses… all in all it makes sense
Yeah, I agree. This also shocked me. 120k and just 1000$ laptop?? Common. I think most ppl just not saying truth in front of camera. No education no experience, most of this ppl are below 30s. Max is like 50k per year.
High income doesn't mean buying expensive things. After taxes, maxing out 401(k), saving cash, and paying NYC rent, $120k doesn't leave you with a lot.
Omg I was in New York about a month ago for a week and was talking to the second guy Steven in a bar in Soho. Today this video got into my feed and I inmediately recognized him. The chances WTF....

doesnt matter, loans and debt are temporary. someone who makes 100k income with 100k student loan debt is still way better off than someone who makes 50k with 0 debt.

"'I'm 22 and receive $8,000/month for living expenses"
"Yea my parents basically didn't want me throwing parties at the crib so they bought a new home (for me) and allow me throw the parties there"
"That property has already increased $400,000 in the last 2 years"
"Yeah I spend wisely and invest and all of that"
"Mhm ya dat's my Porsche 911, my Dad said it's a great investment since we are the Bezo family or anythiing wealthy"
That’s crazy, a guy makes over 170k and most expensive thing he owns is 26k car. That guy is going to be or not he is already a millionaire. He probably just invest all his money.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions. I make about 150k and I don't even own a car. I would probably say the most expensive thing I own is maybe my $1,600 sofa?
@@Mufire1991 Does your money go to pay off your loans? Here where I live, all education is free so getting paid that amount of money would be a very very very big sum. With those earnings one would have to pay 50% taxes here 😅

So cool to see how happy people were regardless of their income. I aspire to have that type of mindset.
I’m not happy because i want to make more money and feel like I’m way behind a lot of people.

@@kamolashakirova1708 yeah it’s hard not to compare when I drive a crappy car and so many people have super awesome cars.

So many 100k+ earners... I compare with myself in Sweden, my income is about $62k ($45k after tax, considered a high income for just being on a payroll), $220k house mortgage totals to $550 a month interest+principal, car, utilities and rest of living expenses just above $1k, so about a $2k surplus each month. Helping out some less fortunate family members also, because I can, about $500 per month.
Honestly your taxes go to so much that the average American could only dream of this stuff, you may earn significantly less but your lifestyle is worlds apart from the average American (in a good way).
Dude you get so much stuff for free in Sweden, don't compare yourself with US. You are doing fine

They live in Yonkers.
9:00 this guy is such a vibe. I wanna be like him when I am at his age. I am 16 now so hopefully I will be able to be like him.

Good to see people happy. Definitely be back for part 2

Very interesting people! Really enjoy your videos and your vibe ☺️

1. What's the most expensive thing you own?
-My Jeep Rubicon, with all of the modifications I did, altogether it's around 92k
2. What is your highest level of education?
-Associates
3. Are you happy right now?
-Absolutely, I've always been an optimistic type of person!
...Depending on how much overtime I rack in, I average about 115k a year.
Everyone else, join in!
So damn cool that all of these people are HAPPY 💙
damn last guy said he's not interested in a life that makes 10 which is the most happiest kinda understood what he meant there
watching this made me feel like a loser . Most people out there living a 10 while im struggling to even graduate from college
don't watch these if they're making you feel bad about yourself
What makes you think they didn't struggle to graduate? Everyone has triumphs to overcome.
Keep going. Lots of people take a while to get through college but almost immediately succeed at work. Different skillsets.
Didnt you see the people who have less? One guy welfare checks. One guy 15k. Thats not a lot man. Use these high incomes as motivation.
change comes from the specific mindset YOU carry. and 'success' doesn't always come from college/uni.
Happiness is elusive. Ask people if they have peace!
sponsorship smooth as hell
Good stuff! Seems like the consensus is that money does not buy happiness. The responses indicate that additional time does. Time that can be spent with family instead of commuting. Time spent learning, exploring, self-discovery, etc.
Dude make 130k and his parents still pay his phone bill 😂😂😂😂
I cant lie, these videos are always dope.
0:19 Did this guy just pronounce the "S" at the end of Illinois?
thank you so much for captions!
Just a feeling that people from n.y love to share what they make😂.

You should do a video where people guess your income
Remember, NYC has expensive living, soOo if it's $60k a year at a decently nice $5k a month apartment, they don't make $100k, they make $40k-
$60k a year is ridiculously high for renting ANYTHING -
Wish I didn't have to work like a dog and break my body to make half of what these people make. Life of struggle and misery.
upskill and downsize
Are you in NYC
Aisha was glowing!
Makes me wonder how much I would make working the same job in NYC. My mortgage is probably 1/3 of what these people pay in rent, though. I feel like if you're making below $70k and living in NYC, you're struggling. Correct me if I'm wrong.
i cant imagine struggling at 70k. Thats crazy man. Yeah okay things are expensive but you should be able to cover bills in nyc with about 40k
Lol
Depends how you live.
The first guy interviewed seems like a thrill
So you make 120k a year and the most expensive thing you own is a 1000$ laptop? Something does not compute.
@@mr.z2618 That's not true. Most BA jobs in NYC pay a good amount.
High income doesn't mean buying expensive things. After taxes, maxing out 401(k), saving cash, and paying NYC rent, $120k doesn't leave you with a lot.
That's about what I make, and that's about the most expensive thing I own. I think my standing desk might be $1800, my desktop maybe $1200?
Omg I was in New York about a month ago for a week and was talking to the second guy Steven in a bar in Soho. Today this video got into my feed and I inmediately recognized him. The chances WTF....
I’m curious to see how much student debts and credit card debts these people have. I know plenty of people who make $100k+ who have about $100K+ in student loans. Heck My coworker makes $130k a year and he’s living pay check to pay check
doesnt matter, loans and debt are temporary. someone who makes 100k income with 100k student loan debt is still way better off than someone who makes 50k with 0 debt.
@@theendurance no student loan debt at all >
@@theendurance I make 75k a year I'm 20 and have no student loan debt as a plumber
