If it will be anything like the Google Pixelbook, I wouldn't count on it. The question is, will it actually run apps and also will it have a good ecosystem. The PIxelbook did none of those things. I know because I had it and it was a complete waste of my hard earned money.

I think it's safe to say that Google seems to be doing a promising job this time. Most importantly, the price is right unlike their few previous Chrome device attempts and the concept is unique on its own compared to other tablets on the market which focused solely on productivity (with extra keyboard and pen) but still hard to be the so-called "laptop replacement" ...

İt has become a trend with Pixel. Although Google are not making things any easier, the way people crap on their products right from the get go is absolutely ridiculous. İ have the 6a and had it been I listened to the bandwagon, I would have missed out on this absolute gem of a phone!
I'll keep my eye out for "actual" reviews of this Tablet-dock combo since it's what interests me the most.

the pixel watch is hated, because it offers less features than competition and more bezel for $100-$200 dollars more the price. I'm not referring to Apple Watches, because those absolutely knock anything out of the park. When we compare the pixel watch to Fitbits and galaxy watches, the pixel watch turns into a bad buy. I'm really glad you love the watch but the reason people hate it is it has horribly big bezels and horrible value and software compared to the competition.

@@mathmanchris666 The pixel watch for me has been consistent monthly updates and feature drops, last major update made it work like a normal watch when turned off if you press the crown in without turning on the device, which is nice if you just want a watch to last longer. Not to mention the plethora of QOL updates that has made it more responsive, fixed issues, and increased performance and battery overall. Not to mention the announcement of WearOS 4 coming later this year.

Have to laugh when I see people write 500 ist soo much. In Europa is priced about 700-750 usd for the basic model (680 eur). So no one is getting it here. Huge fail. People are not stupid dear Google!

In terms of tablets, 99% of the consumers will be better off buying an ipad, apple have the tablet game in their pocket because of the apps and the hardware, anyone trying to make a tablet compete will have to figure out those things first

My pre-order is already in but they missed the mark on not making the base a stand-alone nest speaker. $129 for an extra base with no additional functionality is a hard sell. Especially considering a Nest Hub is $99. If the base had assistant features on its own I could see a case for having multiple docks around the house.

@@CherlynnLow Kind of disappointing tbh, especially since the dock is dead clutter when you take the tablet off of it. You can't cast to it. Giggle confirmed that it doesn't even have a Thread radio in it.
