Wouldn't attempting to charge a nearly depleted battery be a more realistic test?
Works great. Repaired 2 Optima Gel Batteries and another 65 series duralast battery. All of which have failed to take a charge prior to using this unit on them.
Can charge gel battery's use this item,
Just bought this exact charger so thanks for the upload
Bought one from banggood 1 hour before. Glad I saw your review and was a good choice!
I have a 2006 5:16 Acura MDX that drains the battery if it sits more than 2 days u driven. I spent a year with electrical checks, everything checked out but it has Satellite system, navigation and vehicle located burglar system which I believe are the culprits. They run constantly and being retired, I sometimes go a week or so without driving. I have a Sassafon jumper that will work as long as the alarm light is still blinking but after that I had to call roadside assistance. Geico dropped my coverage for roadside so I went back to AAA and got a good battery from them so the warranty will work wherever I go. I also bought a switch with remote to allow me to disconnect battery from car when not in use. Unfortunately Zi had not installed that and decided to by this charger. Zi brought the battery up to my condo. It said full but the jumper had indicated it needed a charge. Zit is running. Zi suspect repair because all of this down, jump, down, jump is hard on batteries. After it finishes I will reinstall with the switch and remote. I am so glad I read your review and watched the video. Thank uou
I bought mine on EBay also in Australia. Delivery 2 days to my door. Great.

I love this charger, way better than my Noco that died

I purchased a yellow version of this. When in repair mode, should it show full when it is complete? Or does repair mode just continually keep going?
I have had my dead battery on repair mode for about 4-5 days.
When I put it in vehicle mode it reaches full almost straight away.
But if I put it back into repair mode, it just goes on and on. Is this normal?
How will I know when my battery is repaired?
I usualy use repair mode for batteries under 9 volts or dead batteries for 20 minutes to try revive them.. Then I switch to charge mode..
@@als-techreview thanks for the reply. Yeah when I put it into charge mode it shows full after a short while. Shouldn’t it do the same in repair mode once it has completed its cycle though? It’s hard to find how this device operates 100%.
Put in repair mode for 24 hours. It then will be full and automatically switch to regular charging mode displaying full.
If the battery isn't working after that it's toast and this won't fix it.

When charging mine doesn't show how full the battery is. The entire % bar on the right just repeatedly keeps flashing.

Stops blinking or flashing when done. May take Up to 24hr, if not longer.. In repair mode it will do that for some reason, keep it in repair mode till it shuts off, then switch back to regular charge and it should read full 100% 13.8-14v. Flash headlights to bring it down, Done.. Then check battery in 2 to 3 days with unit unplugged. It should read 12.6-12.4v.. if it dropped lower, time for new battery. In my case, she sits in the garage for days and always drops in voltage. 12.1 and my vehicle won't start. Hope this helps.
Same as mine, mine was completely drained, this device told my battery was faulty and didn’t charge, i took my drain battery next to my other car with good battery and gave it a jump start with direct cables, after 5 min of direct connection with the car this device finally detected the drain battery and started charging it, but it never gives the exact battery %, it just keeps flashing on 80%, i took it off after 10h of charging and keep it for an extra hour after it’s saying FULL

Does the pulse repair mode have automatic shutting "OFF" display when pulse repair completed? Or they run forever ?
no it turns off
I tried charging mine while in the car followed the instructions cand it didn't display anything but the word "off" and the battery symbol kept on blinking left it for about 40 minutes and nothing. Not sure if if was because I had the black negative cable clipped to the chassis of the car or what even though that's what the manual says to do when charging in the vehicle anyways I ended up having to jump start it. Can it charge a car battery while the battery is still connected in the vehicle's circuit? Or do you have to the battery out, like do you have to charge the battery detached from the car?
Once it says full on the display, will it continue on trickling charging the battery after that? Or is there another setting that you have to put it on for it to be a trickle charger so that we could leave it there for three months without having to worry about the battery dying?

What are those bottons on the left? how could you just skip though without saying what they do?
Hi, thanks for the question.
There is no other bottons.. The only touch botton is the mode selector..
Can you use pulse mode on a fully charged battery? My battery has died a couple of times now, and after a long drive, it is only at around 12V. When should pukae mode be run, or does it not matter? Can pulse mode damage anything connected to the car? Is it safe to run pulse mode with the battery hooked up to the car?
I will recomend disconnect battery from the car first and then try pulse mode.
You can’t boost a dead car with it right? It needs to stay plugged to power ?
yes that's correct. But you can bring back to life 12V car batteries which are under 8V.. with the repair function..
Mines fresh out the box been charging for 8 hours no bars on device show it’s charged blinking empty
I've just bought an electric car which has eight 6v @200Ah batteries, the batteries are relatively new but the car has been stood with flat batteries for over 2 years. I have managed to get the batteries to take a modest charge but each battery is struggling to reach a fully charged voltage because of Sulphation. Would this charger help recover the batteries?
it's efficiency is up to 85% but not all batteries can be saved but I'd say yes it probably would bring them back maybe after a few tries.
Did you try? the sulfation can sometimes be removed via pulsing and depends on how long the battery has stood. The longer it is left the harder to remove the sulfation from the cells.
When repairing do you have to ground the negative wire or you can connect it to the negative on the battery
Mine are connected to the battery right now charging
Can this be used to recharge a dead car battery?
Depends on how dead. Hook it up for 24 hours in repair mode and it'll switch to regular charge and say full. If it's not reading at least 12.7 you need a new battery.

Do you need to disconnect the battery before charging? Can you leave the battery in the car and use a extension cord to charge it?
You can leave it connected.. But I don't reccomend to start the car with connected battery charger or use any electrical consumer in the car while charging.
I directly charge my car overnight without remove the battery...it works great
in my project car that is getting a heart transplant I have 2 subs 2 amps 2 low mid drivers & 2 mid hi drivers and to keep it running at mid to hi volume I'd have 2 batteries in parallel hooked up to 2 basic 12v chargers... goes hard as hell btw...
anyway I guess you can do that because the basic chargers have diodes which prevents back feed of current so anything drawing current after that takes it but also if I was to run the engine it would be fine as the batteries would only draw so much and the wall chargers would ease the alternators job and vice versa.
Im guessing smart chargers would try overcharge or not charge at all due to voltage spikes, interference from alternator or jumps in current but I'm not certain on that part because I don't want to fry anything yet 😅
@@retarayben2073 you just hooked the clamps on and it started charging ?

Jump the battery. Run for 5 min or so if possible. Then quickly attach the charger. It will detect it.
Can someone please clearly confirm, will it act as a trickle or a maintainer charger, so I keep it always connected to a battery of my power generator, and it will ensure the battery is always fully charged.
Once it reads full it basically turns to maintainer mode.
You'll burn the unit up having it constantly hooked up. These aren't that hardy.
For all my battery backups, I top them off once a month or so. I try to discharge them every 6 months and recharge them.
@@strtkempois it normal for the machine to take a while to detect wether it’s hooked up to a 12v or 24v battery. Mine always starts on 24v but I have to cycle through the 4 modes for about a minute before it detects and changes to 12v!
@@LegionIO If you're feeling adventurous and like electronics look at the buck converters. XL4016. They are adjustable in amperage and voltage. 8 amps on 12v the 4 amps is at 24v
Just got one of these. Plugged it into my car battery, and straight away the display shows ‘OFF’. I know my battery isn’t full as it’s my second car which I don’t use often, and the stop/start doesn’t work on it when the battery isn’t fully charged.

you mean as jump starter, maybe not, because the use cases are just charging
but it does provide in-car charging so maybe after 4 to 8 hours it charges battery to a good start level

Do the mold before you hook the battery to the charger.
Even if you connect to the power, this will not act as a jump start, this is only to charge the battery..
The battery charge indicator keeps flashing but does not show any increase in the battery... why?
your battery is dead
My issue with this is that it’s always unclear what percentage charge you’re at. I can’t see how to tell
Me too blinking empty battery after 8 hour charge brand new got it today
Is it normal that it sparks when connect charger terminals to battery (before connecting to AC power)? I've just bought that charger and it sparks when I plug second terminal to battery.
Yes.. that's normal
So when I hooked it up to my car it doesn't automatically tell me it's charging it just says off. My car won't start so I bought this and it won't tell me it's charging any reason for this ?
Your battery hass too low power to be charged with a smart charger... connect it to a running car for 20 minutes, then remove and charge.
Yeah. It's a piece of crap that doesn't work and I'm pretty sure this dude hooked up the charger to a dead battery and it did the same to his as it did to yours
If it says off it means voltage is too low. Just leave it on the battery while it says off & eventually it will change
I have this charger and it's been hooked up to a 100Ah deep cycle battery for 24hrs now. It's still blinking the 80% and 100% on the screen when charging, but if I unplug it from the wall it tells me it's 100% charged. How can I tell if this battery is fully charged?
it is charged to 100% but but showing
Yea hard to tell by the %
A good indicator can be the Charging A, if it’s charging at around 6A then the battery is drained, if it’s charging at low A like at 1A then its probably full or near full
Need a portable one, I already have a portable jump starter and it sucks that I can't use that as an "overnight" car battery charger
Can I charge it at home and put it in the boot so when ever I breakdown I can use it? Or dose it have to be connected to the mains plug socket all the time to charge the car
You need to connect to a socket to charge the battery, not useful on the road only at home.
Is this something you would recommend leaving plugged in at all times? I have an SUV i do not drive often and my main mechanic suggested I get a trickle charger to leave connected to it so i do not have to replace the battery as often as it is my 2nd car and do not drive it often.
Hi, no I do not recommend to live the charger connected. For this purpose, there are other devices specifically to maintain the battery.
@@als-techreviewWhy specifically?

What in the hell kind of testing is that? I've got the same charger. It's reading 10.2 volts, but the "smart" charger ain't charging a lick. Nor is it going into repair in mode even after I set the settings to. Why would you use a fully charged battery to show the battery chargers charging ability?
that strange.. I never had an issue like this.. you mybe have a faulty charger or battery..

no.. I always power off when the charging is finished or when is not charging..
Can icharge it ahead of time and lut it in my car just in case theres no where to plug it up
I got the same unit for my flat motorbike 12v battery. Hooked it up and it started then in 2 seconds it stopped and indicator says “off.” Very strange, battery indicator shows 100% after booking up but it’s definitely flat.
That probably means you have a dead cell in the battery. What the charger 'see's' is full cells. Even if one of them is dead. It's worth trying a pulse charge on the battery to see if you can recover it. The charger will show 'Pul' on the display until it thinks it has recovered the battery. When it thinks it has, it will show 'Ful' on the display. You can then test the battery for lead acid it should show around 12.6 volts after standing for a while. If it has a dead cell it'll show around 10.2 volts again after standing for a while. If that's the case, the charger hasn't managed to recover the battery and it's time to recycle.
I recently recovered a Caravan lead acid battery with this charger from 8.2 volts to 12.6 after the caravan charger failed. It's still good 5 weeks later. They do work very well if the battery is recoverable this charger will do it.

That is the first time I have seen a blue wire being used so assumed that was the positive?
I'm new to this.
And am I right that this unit can only charge from a main socket?

Anyone wanting aver decent jump starter pack ie charge and use no wires etc Hulkman are absolutely incredible
Does this charger work well? I think I'll buy a Noco Genius 5 or Schumacher brand instead
I try to charge many types od batteries and on all works just fine! No complains at all.
I was trying to decide between a name brand like Noco or Schumacher, but I’ve just bought this for half the price from Amazon after reading so many positive reviews. We’ll see!
No it sucks
So this doesn't charge a battery without it being plugged in?
its a charger not a jump starter lol
Hi everyone, Do I need to disconnect the battery from my car or this charger can be connected directly on the battery while it is on the car, thank you much
Can be connected directly to the car, I use the connections on the bonnet (hood) on my BMWs.
@@spazmochad thank you, it worked grate
Do u have anything hooked up to the battery? I'm trying to charge my quad battery and the repair charger keeps shutting off
Yeah same here. It won't go into repair mode either
Same here, what are we doing wrong?
Почти поняла...Тоже купила, пока не испытывала/ не пробовала, инструкция тоже на англ. языке, как и это видео...Спасибо!

How do you change the voltage?
Did you ever figure it out? I have the same question
@@mycdoc had to use the repair option for a few hours then switched back to charge and it started to auto detect the right voltage.
@@0894chris thank you, im going to try that
@@mycdocdid it work?
Should we fully charge the battery before repair mode?
If you can fully charge the battery, why would you need to repair it?
i have a battery that loses charge very quick I too wondered if I should repair from flat or holding as much charge as it could first... I don't think it matters to the charger though, it will analyze it.
Boa noite! Qual a diferença entre carregador Anhtozux e Foxsur?
ninguno...
have got one of these and tried out the "repair" function on an old battery that was working but was weak, holding about 12 volts. left it on overnight for about 20 hours and now is only 8 volts and overheats badly when I tried to recharge it...so the "repair" function killed it. weak before, now dead. so be real careful with this, I would only try it on something that is completely and totally stuffed and I would bet then it won't work. normal charging function seems to work ok
Hello. It cannot solve the problem of the old battery. But it can handle initial sulphation, which restores performance. If the sulphation has already progressed (crystalline), then the effectiveness of the repair method is not very likely. Yes, there is a risk that a weak battery - some cells in it - will be killed by repeated energy shocks. The display also indicates the pulsating process of this.
The repair function is only good on small battery with 6ah or 10ah, on big battery just use normal charging
How can i get this bettary i am right now in Dar elsalam.
It can’t be charger without be plugged to a battery?
Hi! After full charge it mantains a floating voltage, or it just says Full and the voltage it's zero?
For me it maintained a FLT voltage of 13V post charging. This is really nice and comes handy. Am not sure of the repair mode, as to how long does it take to complete the repair. Mine is a 100ah battery
How to switch 12v to 24v
Is it auto or do you press something
It will auto detect the voltage.. no need to do anything.
How does it work for repair mode? Not much info about it in manual. It needs to be leave for 18hours for this mode?
I just bought one of these kind here written leave battery for 16 hours repair mode it’s cool I hope it repair my car battery because it have problem now it’s in repair mode.
@@softtalktv4535 did you open the caps on your battery while it was in repair mode?
How long does it takes to charge
@@danzeljaftha7842 It depends how much the battery is drained and how much is the battery autonomy..
