I'm always thrilled when I see a new episode pop up in my feed. Love this channel!! Between your knowledge of culinary science, the creativity of your menus, that funny and quirky sense of humor, and of course, beloved Maude and Leonard, it all combines to wonderfully give way to a superb channel that's unmatched by absolutely no one else out here in these youtube streets. Be blessed in all that you and your team do.💞🙏
Hi! No, I still live in New York City, and I am still renovating the back building into a prep kitchen! This is my friend David’s house! I say “we“ because we are best friends! Thanks for watching❤❤❤
I grew up on a small family farm. We grew most of our own produce. We ate what was in season. So we ate a couple of fruits/veggies nonstop every single night until they went out of season and then we ate the next veggies. (They seemed to last 1 week longer than you could stand the taste of them) Every night, we froze some for the winter. Watching you shell lima beans brings back memories. It was my job to pick the white shell off because I had tiny nimble fingers. I hated it then, but I'd love to go back in time to sit with my grandmother and shell beans. Thanks for the memory.
Bonjour Randy and Team ! Merci/thank you for another great video with such lovely suggestions, it looks fabulous and delicious ! Corn season is almost here and I cannot wait to make corn chowder, which I find a wonder on a rainy day. A touch of a bright yellow on a grey day, there is nothing like it to change the mood..... and if that is not enough, all you need to do is add you fav. jazz music and a great white wine in a beautiful glass.... and if this is not enough, for God's sake light up the fire place and voila ! Life is great and your day is perfect. Thank you Randy, always a pleasure - Rosalind - ** bisous **
I loved your story about selling your mother's costume jewelry........ I have a similar story..... My sister and I were looking around the house for stuff to sell on a table in our front yard (we were about 7&8 so it was 1967 or so) and decided that our little brother's match-box car collection was just perfect for the occasion......the high-school kid next door gave us about $2 for the all cars and we were so proud of our money making skills....... oh, was our mother angry when we proudly showed her our $2.... and she went storming next door, gave the kid back his money and demanded the cars back..... Only thing is, the kid had put all the cars in some kind of paint stripper...... so all my brother's match-box cars were now all gun-metal gray. He didn't seem to mind (he was 5) but boy were we in trouble!
There's a lima bean that my grandmother raised, which at the time she simply called purple lima beans, but I've since learned them to be named the Jackson Wonder Bean. They are a tanish/white colored bean with purple veins running partially throughout. As a child and young adult I love sitting on the front porch swing talking with my grandmother and shelling out those beans for dinner. She cooked them in a broth of only water, salt, pepper and fresh made cow's butter. They were absolutely delicious!! When eating those along with other fresh produce from the garden like green onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and corn, no thought was given to needing an additional meat protein. Wonderful memories of divine family dinners.
Beautiful spring/summer meal. Love the retro vibe of these foods. Please tell me there is an adequate substitute for the banana liquor because that is a big expenditure for a small use! BTW lima beans and fava beans are not the same..fava beans have also been called broad beans (but that's not accurate either), they're just fava beans!
Hi! No, I still live in New York City, and I am still renovating the back building into a prep kitchen! This is my friend David’s house! I say “we“ because we are best friends! Thanks for watching❤❤❤
Hi! No I still live in New York City and I’m still renovating the back into an auxiliary prep kitchen! Hyde Park is really my friend David’s house, but I say “we” because we’re best friends! Thanks for watching!❤
I'm beginning to think there's something to your fava bean hypothesis because my mother was born in the 50s and she loathed lima beans so much I never ate them as a kid. Didn't learn I kinda like fava beans until I was an adult and cooked my own stuff. Other cheese suggestion for that beautiful fava bean salad: pecorino! I've heard in Italy they eat fava beans with pecorino romano when the beans are in season.
Looks awesome! I love recipes that are fresh and look fancy but are deceptively easy. OBSESSED with your dogs, my childhood dog was a Jack Russell and I was blessed to have her for many years. What are the dogs' names?
I grew up in the Midwest ... We have a saying: "Corn today. Corn tomorrow." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Dollop corn chowder with Boursin! I had no idea there was a banana liquer! Can we say glaze for b-bread??? Your mother walked like mine when she was angry ... but she always bit her side lip ... Gray is a shade not a color. Glad to know your affinity ... soon you will know why ... Are you no longer in NYC? What about your little theater in Washington Square?
Hi! No, I still live in New York City, and I am still renovating the back building into a prep kitchen! This is my friend David’s house! I say “we“ because we are best friends! My theater is up and running in New York City! My mother went ballistic that day as you can imagine… Thanks for watching
OMG Randy this video was absolutely positively medicinal for me this morning AFTER I accidentally completely terrorized myself!!! At about 4:30 this morning I was coming out of a very deep sleep and really thought I heard people talking out in my living room! And I was so sure they were there that I screamed to them, "What are you doing in my house?" But of course no one was there, it was the dialogue on a RUclips video that was on my phone that I forgot to turn off before I went to sleep!!! Within about 30 seconds I realized what was actually happening and that no one had broken into my house! But of course I was still very shook up. So I looked at my phone again and saw that you had just SECONDS earlier posted your wonderful new video from Hyde Park, which truly comforted me in the exact way I needed at that precise moment!!! So I watched most of it and then got up to have my first breakfast of coffee and a homemade corn muffin, which I modestly say was delicious. So thank you so very much for being exactly where I needed you at the exact right moment ❤️ ❤ ❤
that banana liquor isn't thaaaaat expensive...... I saw it at total wine for $36....... not like the $800 bottle of red wine you used as a palate cleanser when you all were taste testing Manischewitz wines last episode...... truly the funniest thing I've seen in quite some time!!!!
This channel is the most unique cooking channel and the most fun channel on YT. Thumbs up!
My favourite RUclips channel of all times. ❤❤❤❤❤
Simply makes me happy!

Thank you so much Randi nd the Team ❤ As always I loved the episode! Has anyone else noticed a bear in the background😮😅
OMG!! at what time stamp did you see that? Do tell!
😘😘🐕🐕
You can add the Giffard to your smoothies. If you can’t get Giffard, 99 bananas is acceptable.
🤣You are correct! That's exactly how they came which is why I never liked them as a kid.
