  • MOLE TRAPPING MADE EASY! Well, that's how we make it look in this video.
    But, mole trapping, or mole catching, is a skilled job. Here we use a mole tunnel trap called a Duffus mole trap to catch the mole.
    Mole Tunnel Traps are probably our favourite traps, but different situations require different traps. In future RUclips videos we will be showing other traps for moles that we sometimes use, but the Dufus mole trap is definitely a winner when we set them for moles in the area that we cover.

    Thanks to your video and advice we have caught a mole after only a few days! Love the content, that tip with the cane was a game changer, really helped the cause massively.

    Definitely watching more. I have scissor traps now but looking for loop traps or even making my own live catch traps with pvc pipe and one way doors.

      Live capture Mole traps are illegal in the uk due to animal welfare laws.
      One reason, among many reasons, is the fact that moles metabolic rate is super high. They would starve to death in hours of been caught. Plus releasing pest species once caught is illegal also.
      Laws, laws and more laws!

    I’ve been having problems with one, possibly two moles in my garden for some time.
    At last, two days ago, after setting a Duffus trap I caught the little devil, well the one nearest the house anyway.
    I will keep a good look out and if molehills reappear I will be setting the trap(s) again.

    I have moles running under the mulch in my gardens and have found a few runs(not being used) but no mole hills. How can I find them to trap them?? They're active under the mulch because they've killed a few plants but the few tunnels I've found are deep.

      You don’t have to put traps in hills. They work just as well in tunnels, deeper tunnels are better than surface tunnels. Make sure you don’t put the ground sheet/weed suppressant over the trap though as it will stop the trap working.

    Where did you get your diber from?

    • @PestInterceptors
      @PestInterceptors  Год назад

      That’s a good question!
      I’ve had it for 15 years. I can’t remember where I got it from tbh. I know you can get them from most pest control suppliers.
      Lots of mole catchers make their own. Mine is a shop bought one though.
      Maybe farm supply shops may do them.

    I use these traps and have had great success till this year. Now they are tunneling around them. I wear gloves that I only use on trapping. I do everything correctly but my moles are now going around them. Why?

    • @PestInterceptors
      @PestInterceptors  11 месяцев назад +2

      Well it’s not the same mole each time and occasionally you find one that is as cunning as a fox!
      Try setting the traps in the runs not the hills….or the hills not the runs. Depending on what way you usually lay them. 👍🏼

      After many years of searching we finally found a glove that’s waterproof front and back and thin enough to feel through! They are from Screwfix. Glad you enjoyed the video.

    Cannot believe you didn’t’t check the traps for five days !!

    • @PestInterceptors
      @PestInterceptors  2 года назад +2

      There is no, none, nada, zero, zilch legal reason to check mole traps daily. There is a group for mole catchers in the UK that pushes that mole traps should be checked daily. I’m not part of that group and neither is my pest control business. We abide to the law of the land. Not to some guidelines made up by random people in random groups.

      @@PestInterceptors I also check once a week. Was doing twice, but I feel the more you disturb the site the less chance you have.
