Paul, last night on court TV they replayed her interview/interrogation, the NOT INTENTIONAL interrogation!! It was great to watch it again and see how nuts she really was. And she really believed she was going home that day!! She didn't think she was getting arrested, INSANITY!!
Omg this is crazy!! This is a slam dunk. Unless she ran out of the house for help after she locked said abuser in suitcase which she did not, she's done. Leaving him and going to bed is Not self defense. She should have taken a plea deal. I suspect that's what all the other lawyers told her and why she fired them.
She didn't even need to leave the house. She could have easily asked the father of her child for help when she was on the phone with him that night after she abandoned Jorge downstairs begging for air. After all, she had no issue getting her ex to help the next morning when it was too late for her lover.
If she is claiming battered spouse, wouldn't that mean that she did have intent when she got him in the suitcase?
She uses the word
UNINTENTIONAL in regards to Jorge's death.
How do you kick a door open 4 times? Once it’s open, it’s open. Also, she does not sound scared, she sounds like she’s suppressing fury and trying not to let it show that she’s waisted.
The barefoot thing? She’s outraged at having to walk barefoot, because she’s entitled AF.
As for calling her a horrible mother? Jorge is calling it like is. She’s so narcissistic and delusional that she actually believes she is a good mom. So good in fact that her child no longer wants anything to do with her.

I have been sober for 17 years. I know that Sara was bottles deep when she made the suitcase video. She can’t admit she was drunk because then she’d have to admit she’s an alcoholic. She’s so busy protecting her addiction that she can’t see beyond that. She should have told the truth that she was drunk and passed out. The whole interrogation was her protecting her alcohol use. Crazy but that’s what we do!!

This is not Lifetime material. How would she get out of prison if she killed someone especially in florida?
Lifetime wouldn't work with her to get "her" story, if that is how they framed the movie - people aren't allowed to profit off their crimes, even after serving their time. If Lifetime were to do anything with this story, they likely would work with Jorge's family for the rights, maybe framing it as the world loosing the next great artist.
I agree that they won't do this story, though. Lifetime likes having a "perfect victim" too much.
Netflix would pay millions for this story & 2nd degree murder in Florida is 30 years to life. I believe this is a state charge & they only serve half. Felony murder or any felony serves 85% of the time. She was dumb not to take a 10 year plea deal. She would be out already. She's already served 5 years. If anyone knows if the 10 year was actually offered let us know.

One thing to remember from the interview with the detectives is Sarah said "he changed"... Yes she calls him the "volcano" but he also showed her his "papers" and said "I have done you wrong". This is all over the place.

. She should of took the 10 years. She would be out in 5 yrs. If this is a state charge & I believe that is is. You only serve 1/2 the time with a state charge & she's been in 5 already. 2nd degree murder in Florida is 30 years to life. The only way I can see her getting out of it is if her lawyer can find a technicality & her video is not admissible in court. It happens. If the video is shown in court she's done.

There’s huge missing chunks when it comes to physical abus*. When you hear a lot of “and then” it’s hiding time. She just jumps from here to there. She focuses on the smaller unimportant details and next to nothing on the alleged abus*. She is more upset about being called a bad mom than about being hit (allegedly). I think that hurt her ego/feelings and she had to make him pay for that. Sarah has shown her reputation is one of the most important things to her. She takes being insulted or disrespected as a physical attack on her.

Didn’t he say to the judge he was doing it pro bono?
In court, he said that he wasn't going to be asking for any payment for himself from the state as one of the reasons Sarah should have gotten the funding for the experts he was requesting. In court, he did not correct the judge when the judge talked about him being pro-bono. In an interview, he mentioned that Sarah would "owe him" after discussing how his clients can pay him what they are able to afford.
Despite all that, it looks like he has since filled a request to be paid by the state after an argument with her at the jail.
He said he respects the decision of the courts regarding her loosing her right to state-provided council, but then he turns around and laughs in the faces of the lawyers who are currently fighting to get paid for the prep he is using.
He said she was denied the right to a lawyer. That is not true. She did this and the judge had had enough.

I think Sarah finally realized she’s completely screwed. You know she begged this lawyer to represent her. She definitely gave him whatever he asked. I was really hoping we’d see another Darrel Brookes trial. Oh well.
The one thing that keeps sticking out in my head. In the video that was recorded. Listening to him talk to her he never once was aggressive. He never cussed at her. He never called her names. He never once raised his voice or sounded angry. From someone that has lived the life that she said that she lived, if he really was the aggressor he would have been going off on her to let him out of that suitcase.

Does anyone think that this was her goal all along? She was unhappy with her appointed defender from day 1, knowing that she was NOT their only client. This continued on and on and on until she had to send out an ad. Now what does she have? A free defense attorney, who will basically STOP working on all his cases and shut down his practice to be at her beck and call. She is diabolical, for sure.

It is on record that the lawyer and Sarah have had a loud argument during a prison visit. He I guess threatened to quit. I rewatched her interview and bless her heart she is so perfect and has done nothing wrong. But she was so controlling in Jorge’s relationship she wouldn’t let him listen to his music they had to do her activities. Examples do the puzzle, paint play hide and seek. She controlled the phone and how long Jorge could even could talk to his family. I listened to another channel and they had all the arrest records and Jorge constantly told the police Sarah was constantly hitting him. The sad part he was the one always arrested. I hope she spends a long time in jail. RIP Jorge I really feel sorry for her X husband and son she really used her X and abused him.

The state has to pay for it. He's not doing it pro Bono, he's expecting some kind of payment.
The judge said he could ask that some of the funds that were approved for the PI be reassigned for the experts he was requesting

I’ve been in multiple DV relationships and I would NEVER and could never do anything like the sort. It just doesn’t add up honestly.
Now do I believe she INTENTIONALLY (🤪) did it? No I think she was blackout and passed out and forgot. I don’t think she thought he was gonna die. But that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen and now she has to face those consequences. 🤷♀️ These 4 years are probably the longest she’s been sober ever. You can tell this was a toxic relationship and most of it was due to the alcohol. I mean it’s not hard to read at all. Do I think she was abused? Yes. Do I think she ALSO did some abusing? Yes.
Plus Sarah is her own worst enemy so there’s that too. I don’t see this ending well for her at all. She should most definitely take a plea deal. When they offered her 19 years she should have been like “where do I sign?” She should have taken that so fast. She’d be halfway done by now. He got in the suitcase. They were both drunk and both were being stupid.
She had to say something. I think it's more likely that she was choking him. Police reports say she has done it before. He passed out from being choked. She thought he was dead. She had to get rid of the body so she put him in a suitcase & threw him down the stairs. She couldn't lift him. Explains what the neighbors heard. Called her ex to help her get rid of the body & he told her no. He wasn't dead & he woke up. Then she filmed it. Be interesting to hear what her ex says in court that she asked him to do. If he ever says. We will probably never know. She may of been blacked out drunk when she took the video. That's why she didn't know it was on her phone during the interrogation. She won't remember what actually happened. There is no way an adult (no matter how drunk) would get into a suitcase knowing how crazy & abusive his girlfriend is. It wouldn't happen. The hide & seek thing was the best lie she could come up with.

For instance, you get the ice cream out the freezer only to find out someone left a tablespoon of ice cream. (My mother used to do that and say she didn't eat all of it. Drove my father crazy! I think she was scared after trying to represent herself and found out she doesn't know anything. So she NEEDS a lawyer. She may have learned a lesson. Maybe, but she will resort to her old behavior soon enough.

People do stupid and "brave" things when they are drunk. Good point about self-harm. As a 5 1/2 year sober survivor, it does mess with you. I would have done anything toward the end. Sober me, no way. Drunk and scared me, anything is possible, all of the above things. How abusive was she to him? The worst part is, I'm certain she didn't mean to kill him. I really think she just wanted him to suffer, to teach him a lesson. But, he died in a very horrible and prolonged way. One must pay for their mistakes. He's dead. She should do some time for that, but I think part of that should be in rehab and therapy before she's allowed to leave. She has issues. I truly believe there are people who don't deserve a lifetime in jail when someone dies and there are some people who need to meet Mr. Woodchipper, because there's no help for them. Like Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, any of those people are on the woodchipper side for me. She may be a pain in the azz, but I want to hear the evidence. This may not even be her first abusive encounter with a boyfriend., Just how messed up is she? Would past abuse from/to others even count? And I agree, he didn't sound like a huge threat, but how bad off was he? That's why I want to hear everything.

my feeling on sarah and Jorge is that it was mutual combat. theyre both to blame for it and I dont believe either of them was the single victim or single perpetrator. the thing that wasnt mutual is that his consequence was death; and she killed him in the 2nd degree.
I dont believe they were playing hide and seek but that night he didnt get shoved in the suitcase, common sense and logic tell you that it begun as a joke or playing, and he got in the suit case to willingly and she zipped it up.....and she lost her playfulness real fast, because shes a power tripper, and she had the ultimate power....I also think she left him in there not really thinking he would die, but neglected to even contemplate it and her own video is pretty clear that she was told he couldnt breathe and she said she didnt care. its a wrap.
Do you think she's might just be one of those psycho mean scary drunks that blacks out & remembers nothing. We've all had dealings with ppl Ike that & run as fast as we can. She presents as a Vic of childhood abuse & ppl like that have demons inside them. I like the lawyer tho he seems compassionate & paternal. Imo she has to serve some time & perhaps sober she can become a better person.
