@@AzurLaneMeta Even if those DD's DPS going up through the roof, they still have survivability issues. For a long time now CA has been the best class for vanguard both DPS and survivability. I don't like that the devs doesn't balance the game a bit. Most DDs are just there for collection purpose.
About Kazagumo's skill In theory, we put the blue 76mm DD gun for that sweet 0.56 sec gun. Then for the torps, usually torps have 20-ish reload time. I cant do proper math so basically u get torps every 14-15 seconds instead of 20-22 seconds!
This rerun is pretty much aesthetic overload. Kasumi retro skin is damn good, there's pekora and kazagumo is apparently drawn by a ina- I mean nagu. Not to mention cassin and downes' skins are nice af. Really can't wait for pr4 stats/skills though.
When idlemaster comes around I might not participate as much as other events, I just want to save cubes and dock space / spend cubes on getting ships I don’t have from the regular build pools.
I think the average HP of IJN carriers is around 6,800 so her heal is 1,020 on Shinano it comes to 1,292 HP heal not bad for a one time heal from a torp destroyer that also buffs. Don't forget Nagato will give her an additional 20% on reload on top of her self 5% 😼
Thanks for the video like always Just to add to it, Kasumi skill (Foo and friend) has an hidden mechanic where Foo count as an vanguard (only when shiranui isn't here) so you can substract 1 vanguard needed to activate the IJN buff for people who are interested in using her
I was hoping to see Shimakaze be introduced into this event considering the well established friendship she has with Saruga in Crosswave. Fingers crossed the next big IJN event will bring her in.
Decent, but not as strong as it once was. It's all Preloaded Strike memes now. Torp meme vanguards get mauled pretty bad by Aquila's first strike. And with the addition of New Jersey and her Rainbow HE gun + high accuracy and low spread, they get hit pretty bad. For Chapter 13, it's pretty much the realm for AA Cruisers. For Siren OPs, they're pretty niche against boss nodes that are weak against torps.

Thanks for another comprehensive video guide! Would you ever consider doing a comprehensive video series explaining equipment, ship skills, and stat benchmarks? My account level is 99 and I'm at map 13. So far I've survived via levels and standard gold ships and equipment, but I feel like my understanding of the mechanics is low. Whenever I see new ships or equipment, it's always tricky for me to tell if the skill or equipment is "good" since I don't know benchmarks, which then leads to matching the right equipment with the right ships. My lack of knowledge is starting to show as I struggle to clear 13-1 and EX stages despite having multiple level 115-120 ships. Please consider it! :)
Equipment video is on the to do list 100%. I've debated whether to put in time talking about benchmarks for certain ship class stats. Not sure how interesting that would be.

Assume, Kazagumo lunch barrage every 5 sec, she can shoot torpedo almost twice of normal others DD torp (20s torp reload). And that is a pretty high dps.

If you are below 300 cubes, want to sweep the whole idolm@aster collab banner, and already have Ryuuhou/Noshiro from the first run of this event; I'd stick to dailies. However, Kazagumo is pretty good.

Based on what the Chinese aniki calculated, Kasumi now actually has higher survivability than Tashkent, which is around the level of Cleveland if I remember correctly.
Yostar certainly spoils us with SR Sakura DD's. As of today have six SR destroyers and we can expect at least 3 more (ie. Yuugumo, Akizuki, Shimakaze) to be added. Shame that DD's don't have access to that new radar.
Ardent (Retrofit), Ariake (Retrofit), Benson, Curlew (Retrofit), Hazelwood, Stephen Potter, Yuugure (Retrofit) have the 15% AVI dmg permanently. Chitose, Houshou, Long Island (Retrofit), Shouhou (Retrofit) have 15% AVI dmg but only after they launch an airstrike. Of course Kazaguma has her skill and some ships like Sirius boost AVI or Shoukaku boost all dmg.
Honestly i dont think Kazagumo has competition on the Air Raid Asistance(ARA) department, Stephen Pottah can defend herself with the timed buff for the vanguard, but besides that Kazagumo send all other IJN and HMS ships with ARA direct to "Trophy waifu village"
I would say Kazagumo is a very good PvP ship, on the fleets that would run Shinano and Hiryu. Healing Hiryu just feels so wrong, like delaying even more her survival skill. But in honesty i think she will shine on Aquila/Perseus fleets. Those two make amazing vanguard nuckers on the start on the battle. Being further boosted is just outrageous XD Plus the fact you can heal them and Perseus also heals. Seems like a very interesting comp. A thing that i wanna point out on Kazumi, 226 evasion seems quite insane. I mean maybe i am wrong but isnt that the highest or among the high? Usually they are around 205 i believe

Hey ALM, i would like to know your opinion on this aircraft carrier gimmick i thought up. What about an aircraft carrier that have a skill that significantly increase the amount of time/damage needed before she is detected AND a skill that increase her damage when undetected (yes all carrier already have a damage boost what i meant is her skill buff that damage even further)
No, retrofits are never released at the same time as the ship the retrofit is for, and this update is no exception. Kasumi came out roughly a year and a half ago, with the first run of Swirling Cherry Blossoms, this update released the rerun of that event.
Ryuuhou is generally considered better than Unicorn because she can be used to heal ships that are weak. For example you may be able to extend the maps you can grind the ship your leveling to a higher map with her. Whereas Unicorn is a general healer for long campaigns where everyone if taking dmg.

@@farandapriza1524 for bidders you need to get the prerequisite mk VII torpedo, which you can only get from doing SOS missions and the weekly submarine mission. For the Ju-87 D4, i forget what plane you need but you can probably get it from gold/purple gear boxes. To get the supplies to upgrade to them, you need to do operation siren.
Really disappointed in this Kasumi retrofit after they released Independences banger retrofit. Would it have really killed them to either give her a third skill or at least change up her evasion skill and make it something unique?

Potter and Kazagumo don't stack, they affect CV dmg, but those others you mentioned affect AVI stat so they can stack.
Sooo Sirius' Yellow Skill and Kazagumo's Yellow Skill cannot stack or..?
Sirius doesn't boost CV dmg, she boosts AVI stat. They should stack.

Yes Kazagumo is the best CV booster rn. The only special note is for Potter if you need a USS faction (ie. NJ, Essex, Manjuu item).

The heal comes pretty late in the PvP battle. However that 15% dmg increase will and can be used.

165% is raw 10% more than 155%, but yes, 10/155=6.4%
The point I was trying to convey is 10% more efficiency is more than a 10% TRP stat boost.

Ya although it could have every easily been a new skill. Just feels like the skill was lumped into the old one because they didn't want to draw a new art for it or come up with a name.

The collab sounds interesting. I had to google what Idolmaster is ^^ but all characters looks like they will be more like lolis. I just want a DOA rerun the ships are hot 😞 and i hope for other Collabs like Persona the Persona 5 Girls as Waifu (again^^) would be great

@@farandapriza1524 for bidders you need to get the prerequisite mk VII torpedo, which you can only get from doing SOS missions and the weekly submarine mission. For the Ju-87 D4, i forget what plane you need but you can probably get it from gold/purple gear boxes. To get the supplies to upgrade to them, you need to do operation siren.

Really disappointed in this Kasumi retrofit after they released Independences banger retrofit. Would it have really killed them to either give her a third skill or at least change up her evasion skill and make it something unique?
She's still going to hit hard like her peers (Tanikaze, Ayanami, Shigure).
@@AzurLaneMeta True. But tbh I wasn't really looking for that, I was hoping for her to really fill in as that second buffer ship for Ibuki like a destroyer version of Jintsuu or Noshiro. Granted, if I had my way, I'd just adjust Jintsuu as she is now to also include CA's. Probably OP but sue me I like torp memes and IJN are all about torps/carriers anyway. Don't take me too seriously though, I'm very biased lol.
Edit: Please don't take me the wrong way as being mad or grumpy with the devs/you, I just love Ibuki and love the game/devs. I just wish I didn't have to run a hybrid pasta-rice fleet to fulfill my torp dreams lol
