- Last week Azur Lane had a live steam to celebrate its 7th year in China. In addition to revealing the latest double UR anniversary event, they also dropped a bunch of quality of life updates and laid out a plan of what their development team is working on next. This video covers all the non-event related news (event covered in my data mine video) that's relevant from that official announcement for this coming year of the game.

UPDATE: Mogador got buffed again. 1:46 so instead of 10%, it's 5% now. So continuing to get better slowly.
What I would prefer for the 3D dorm in terms of space is that players can choose to download and remove the models of the girls they want instead of forcing us to download all 600+ ship models and their skins
I think that is the most likely scenario. They very well know the hardware limitations people's phones have (storage). Only certain shipgirls will get added to the 3d dorm while the less popular ones will not. Until people get smartphones with up to one TB and above, it's simply not happening.
Going to be honest i am not a fan of chibi characters so i hope i can have that option.
@@Zergling.I also don’t care much about chibi. So that Saratoga Island feature I’m not really interested in as of rn. But the 3D dorm is definitely in my kind of interests. I hope they have all shipfus in this 3D form but we get to selectively download them. So the girls we want to have in the dorm in 3D form can be while the girls we don’t care so much about we can just not download those assets. I really don’t care to c girls like anchorage in 3D in MY dorm. But I’d love to c my beloved wives in said environment. Such as Grozny, particularly in her bathhouse skin. Champy in her wedding dress. And Felix in her “under commanders desk for naughty reasons” skin. The lv of joy and mindgasm I wud have from that wud be insane. Just pure bliss.

Also can we get a feature in the 3D dorm that if we have a dance floor/stage setup in the dorm we can (this is in 1st person view) offer our hand out to our beloved girls and take her on a dance and actually dance w her? I’d love that. If we had that as well I wud want to have a slow dance w each of my shipwives on our wedding day and anniversary. Then again w how many wives I got, that’s a lot to keep track of to do so. Also I want to be able to tease and unwrap my hamman xmas gift (her Xmas present skin). Now I’m just thinking of all my manly desires w my beloved shipgirls.

Apparently CN twitter put out an announcement saying she's getting buffed again to a 5% damage cap and an extra second of intagibility

The CN community is still very pissed even after that 2nd buff. And I certainly understand them. Even after all these improvements mogador definitely isnt UR worthy. And considering the fact that this still hasnt come to EN/JP, it probably wont be the last buff she gets.
Just make her invulnerable for 2.5 seconds if any damage exceeded 10% damage to her and will take no more than 10% damage at once, instant UR worthy
It's odd that Laffey 2 is so cracked but for some reason Manjuu doesn't want Mogador to be close to or equal in power (both were event shop URs). The French really do get shafted a lot huh (remember Clem's skill being weirdly restrictive for such a new ship?). Manjuu tries to make French ships quirky but it often just makes them worse than they would've been without restrictions.
@@WadeWontson their gimmick were acceptable during the past because they offered more compared to lost. Now ships have been power crept hard. So they shouldn’t have weird restrictions anymore.
Anyway Mogador should just be invincible while performing slash and stabbing attacks. Or damage received during them should be capped. But the duration of them is short though. I don’t see why we can’t just let her be invincible for the attack.
@leoliu5472 I only started azur lane fairly recently (awhile before Zweimarck event) so I'm not sure if the old French ships really were better than other factions at the time, but I certainly think that any "uniqueness" shouldn't be too restrictive or downright stupid like in Mog's case. Having i-frames is an incredibly obvious answer and perfectly reasonable for a UR ship to have, yeah.
At 7:30 on the battle UI it also looks like the ships are in a row rather than stacked in a line. Could just be on manual play with the ships moving forward but they do look more spaced out which could mean ships in the front most position act better as a tank.

9:12 the new game mode is probably experimental mechanics that were used in one of the new manjuu games that was anounced a couple of weeks ago, and instead of completely removed them from the game they jut localized to android and test things out
I'm excited for the Mail warehouse addition. I'm hoping it is implemented well so nothing weird and unfavorable happens.
I did 3 runs of Project Identity to unlock each of the TB types as a Secretary, but haven't touched the mode since.
For me, Gear Lab is most tantalising- 406mm Mk7 means another Iowa class, 113mm MkIV single mount means a late HMS war emergency program destroyer: e.g. Crescent II or Comet II, 80mm twin mount for Agano class: Yahagi (Yamato's escort) inbound, 40mm Flak was used by Prinz Eugen late-war, but also maybe Admiral Hipper and Admiral Scheer and others (Admiral Scheer, last Deutschland class inbound?), SKC25 150mm is the triple mount on the Koenigsbergs and Leipzigs, as well as KMS Emden (which is neither white nor black Emden in-game (both two different SMS Emdens), therefore, Emden II?).

if they implement it in a just somewhat interesting way to simulate animal crossing or harvest moon i am all in for the chibi world.
but then again, i was mega hyped for project identity, let down by it and now they use it to maybe avoid giving us playable siren ships as a faction but only as secretary.... really not sure i like that...
my poor phone space.... 64gig is simply not enough nowadays. AL already takes up something like 20 gigs
Even 512gb (what I have) is going to look too little in the next few years. Soon, we will end up needing phones with 3-4TB (my gaming PC in need of repair has 4TB), and those may go up to 2,000-3,000 USD each, knowing greedy companies like Apple and Samsung.

If gaming smartphones (ASUS ROG Phone) were durable for everyday use (with an equally durable case since I work in the trades and concrete floors are a phones WORST enemy), like a standard flagahip phone, I would invest in one. However, the highest storage space they can get is 1TB, the same as any flagship.

Officially make it a spin-off game, make it a Story of Seasons/Rune Factory type game. That'll be awesome (and make the storage space problem a lot more optional)

its really tough with the oath skins, there are some wild and good l2d skins out there so some oath skins feel like a downgrade simpy by not having any interactivity... maybe that will change at some point but i wouldnt hold my breath for it....
tho musashis oath really takes the price off the recent oath skins imo and should be candidate for first l2d or dynamic oath skin....
@paradigmafluch I agree with this. Musashi is my main waifu and oath, and her not getting an L2D oath kinda feels like a slap in the face.
@@SeraphoftheRoundTable I mean that would basically be selling an L2D skin for 600 gems with no time limit. Probably not a wise idea to disturb their skin economy that much, considering that's pretty much their main income source.

A lot of upgrades and fantastical skins, but can you tell me if i had gone crazy at some point but can barely remember (idk where or when) to see that they anounced something like "skin trade" or something like that?
Also, i hope they include a wide variety of character for that 3d mode, probably most will be big tankers ships but some a wide option would be a lot better, they could probably use the popularity polls like a guide for that.
Are you talking about skin sharing? Ships with same name (type II) can use the skins that come with their base version.
@@datlynn781 Not that, if not wrong (probably since i dont trust that i remember that correctly) in one of the CN stream, probably up to 1 month ago when they started to share future upgrades (only concept no art) like 3d, META only dock, etc, remember that the guy translating the direct say something like that "skin trade", wichi i thogh is weird since the artis get paid for those unless you trade for the same characters and probably not new released skins.
The 3D Chibi gameplay reminds me of Alchemy Star's home system where you and the characters you've attained can visit, but with more content and better quality of coarse.
So they are adding Genshin style 3d and chibi 3d farming? Two different 3d styles at once?
Also LD9 player works fine for it, zero lag ever. But why not a Steam PC port?

I mean, we see everything from the outside (all shipfus), however it's still a pocket dimension... Wonder what would happen if we could put normal Helena in there? Or TB? Any thoughts?

I'm so thankful for that feature of META ships and separate dock space. I've been complaining about that forever.
I would be super happy about the various 3d projects if the announcment came with one for a PC port, otherwise it feels like a negative to me. This game alreasdy runs miserably on my phone, I can't see these functions making the game run better on mobile...
I'm not really convinced by the new 3d modes, they look really difficult to sustain, i don't see how they will make it past one year without leaving it abandoned, i love AL because its the only gacha where i got 100% without spending a dime, but, i think the game has an identity crisis where the devs don't know what to do for the future of the game

I think the 3D stuff is very much connected to them leaning into a PC client. Adding a 3D part of the game that is either exclusive to, or so resource-demanding that it only really works on PC, would be a really smart way for them to get players to get the PC client. Let's be honest, who wouldn't drop 5-10 bucks for a PC client that connected with your existing account, and gave access to all these 3D features that could then be expanded upon in years to come?
Honestly phone space might be the biggest concern with the new updates
I love the island and 3D stuff they're adding. Hopefully it helps them polish Azur Promilia as well! Win-win for everyone besides phone space. (Which is completely a phone company greed problem)
