I don't think that frikandel is considered a delicacy in NL. It is a snackbar food and even considered a bit downmarket or even chavvy (a chav is a tokkie in Dutch) and even looked down upon by posh people. There is a consumer programme in NL called ''Keuringsdienst van waarde'' and in the frikandel episode the guy they sent to a big frikandel factory (in Belgium!) had never previously tried a frikandel. Btw I remember reading the ingredients on a pack of frikandels from the supermarket in NL, I am pretty sure they were Mora but if not they were Albert Heijn's own brand, and these contained 10% horsemeat.

Zou toch eerst de kruiden met elkaar mixen en dan pas met vlees vermengen. Qua saus gebruik de Zaanse tubes tegelijkertijd en dan de uitjes.
LEkker man je kan ze beter in folie koken strak opgerold dan blijven ze mooi in vorm
