- Fix Ethernet Doesn’t Have A Valid IP Configuration in Windows 11/10.
Your computer uses an IP (Internet Protocol) address to connect to the Internet. This is an address that identifies a device on a network. It is used to communicate with other devices or the Internet.
Whenever you get the error “Ethernet does not have a valid IP configuration” it’s because your ethernet connection is not receiving a valid IP address from the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). This is a network protocol that enables servers to automatically assign an IP address to your computer for a specific network. As a result, the computer cannot be assigned a valid IP address, meaning it’s not able to connect to a network and the Internet.
If you’ve previously encountered a networking issue that says Ethernet doesn’t have a valid IP configuration, then something is wrong with your Network Interface Card.
The NIC is connected to your router or modem via the Ethernet cable. The problem arises if it fails to obtain a valid IP address.
A valid IP address is necessary for a computer to communicate with the router and operate in the web. Once a certain router or NIC becomes faulty or in case of incorrect IP address designation, an error occurs.
Issues addressed in this tutorial:
ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration
the ethernet adapter does not have a valid ip configuration
ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration fix
ethernet cable does not have valid ip configuration

how to fix ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration
ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration not fixed
why does my ethernet not have a valid ip configuration
ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration windows 10
ethernet 2 does not have a valid ip configuration
Ethernet doesn’t have a valid IP Configuration is caused when your NIC (Network Interface Card) hooked up to your Router or Modem via the Ethernet Cable is unable to get a VALID IP Address (Internet Protocol). This is needed for the computer to speak to the router, and function on the internet. There are three main causes for this issue to occur, the first one is a faulty router, the second one is an incorrectly assigned IP Address to the computer, and the third one is the faulty NIC. We will address the issue in three steps, and they must be followed in the sequence listed.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Huawei and Samsung.
None of this worked. =(
Worked for me on the very first instruction. After restart, everything worked. Thank you so much!
That very last bit, network reset worked for me, much appreciated
Glad I could help
Is there any way to fix this problem without restarting? I have this issue all the time and all I ever need to do is restart. I've tried editing the internet settings but all the suggestions never help. Am sick of having to restart to get internet back.
When I try the first command, it tells me "the requested operation requires elevation (run as administrator) but I'm already doing this with the administrator account, any ideas?
Thank you so very much. What a great relief. In my case the problem start after Windows Defender notify a couple of unsafe programs that need to be quarantined. It would be helpful if all the victims who went through this ordeal can back track the cause of this problem and share the experience, for the benefit of next would-be computer nerds. Gratefully.
I never liked a video of this kind before, but you ma men, you helped me solve an annoying problem that i was facing for over a month, thank you
Glad I could help
I've followed Your instructions and was able to solve the problem. Thank You very much!
Glad it helped!
It worked for me after I disconnected both the pc and the router from the electricity for a minute.
You have to remove the plug from the socket.
You must completely disconnect from the electricity.
Worked for me thanks.

None of the fixes worked for me
Not sure if this will help. After testing multiple computers my wife and determined that hardware was not the issue. We are using the google mesh system. All we had to do was reset the mesh point that we were using for ethernet the connection....🤦♂
It worked. Thank you very much!
You're welcome!
Thank you very much. After the first reset it started to work so thank you sir.

Tried many suggestions on tons of different websites, no go. Came across your vid, and worked like a charm, thx!
I just entered my networks ips manually, then set it back to auto and it stated working again
I struggled with this problem for months until I stumbled on this, worked perfectly for me.
Open device manager, expand Network adaptors, right click on the network adaptor and open properties,
select Advanced, then "Advanced EEE" then disable it in the dropdown box adjacent,
i did all instructions in internet but it work temporary probably i should change adapter card😢
Thank you very much sir. This helped immediately
Worked great thanks bro!

If everything doesnt work, shut off your pc and unplug it from the wall and plug it back in and turn it back on it should work. For people using laptop im not sure.
