Can you please explain how development of patch works, is it through linear sequence clips that you toggle on/off in layers or is it a generative development from a single patch that’s being modified spontaneously ??
Neat. But it looks like this is a carefully scripted linear piece of music. Or are there any generative elements to it that change with each playthrough? If there aren't then I don't really see the benefits in writing it as such a messy PD patch instead of simply punching the notes into some conventional MIDI sequencer. Except maybe the pure nerdgasmic joy of it.
I don't see any timepoint or other object that would be used to make a linear piece of music but then again I might be mistaken since I can't see the entire patch due to it being zoomed in. Even if you were to make a linear piece of music on Max there are still endless possibilities that can be achieved like reactive visuals to go with the audio or triggering individual instruments to bang depending on your movement on a webcam for instance. Something that conventional DAWs can't do.
I see a fair amount of random objects so it is at least some what generative. Regardless it is an awesome piece of music and very impressive doing it with just puredata
Never knew this was possible with pure data.
I always used it as a sound generation tool.
Check out the stuff made by acreil and be amazed
Isn't music just ' to organize sound ' ?
If you squint at the code, it looks like a Jackson Pollock.
Interesting, because anytime i squint at a Pollock painting it reminds me of this code

Pure Chaos! Nobody knows what's going on. And searching for an issue, is impossible.
This is that meme with Charlie from Always Sunny
PEPE SILVIA
this should be framed in a museum
Makes me wonder if the documentary 'I dream in wires' could have a 'spiritual sequel' one day.
i was searching for samples and somehow got here... i dont understand shit but i love it
I don't understand how there are no steps in the filter/pitch sweeps. The saw emulates the supersaw. I'm blown away.

i can explain it. it's called putting your unprotected thing in my hole vigorously and getting me pregnant and not being responsible

Awesome! I'd love to see that Saw graph
Sounds good. Is this samples, synthesis or some combination of both?
Pure synthesis
Hello, excuse my ignorance, I don't understand much about this topic of pure data being music... could someone explain something?
Awesome stuff. do you post source code by any chance?
really great works with PD and Max!!
Damn this is fire. Is it the same song every time or is it random/ easily adjustable? Seems like it’s bassicly software version of modular

Just a different work flow, you'll come up with different ideas. There's no best way of creating music.

That's awesome. Is it really all made with just pure data? Still a big noob with it, that must've taken you a ton of time :-D
Thank you! Yes, just pure data.
Wow, very cool :-D Keep banging that spigot ;-)
What program do you use to make this?

This is PureData, a tool that's been around for decades. Falls somewhere between modular synth and just wiring electronics together.

how and where i can learn make this kind of music?
