    Every video is entertaining and I am learning at the same time. One question, I am working on wake to wake, what rope length, speed, and ballast would be good to start out with. I have a 2024 gs22

    • @Shaun.Murray
      @Shaun.Murray  5 месяцев назад

      Love to hear you're enjoying them and learning. Have you checked out some of my content, especially on the GS22? Check out some of the playlists and let me know if you have questions.
      to answer your direct question, 50-55' 18.5ish, plus or minus a few tenths. No ballast when learning to use the proper physics

    It always amazes me how much slack in the rope these young kids can get away with on landings. They are so light. If I had 4 or 5 feet of slack, I’m either letting go, or getting yanked over on my face.

  • @scottedwards6117
    @scottedwards6117 5 месяцев назад +1

    Shaun, you definitely helped me this year, I'm starting to get it. My biggest question is whether my board is too big. I'm 310 about 6'3" I know I'm not gonna get crazy, but I have a slingshot Nomad 160, because I could not find a 150 or 155. So It's really hard to slow down, at anything less than 18 mph, its like being pulled through mud, this really makes practicing getting air and landing tough. Would a smaller board help?

    • @scottedwards6117
      @scottedwards6117 5 месяцев назад +1

      I'm on a 23 g23 so it doesn't know how to make small wakes.

    • @Shaun.Murray
      @Shaun.Murray  3 месяца назад

      Going smaller than 150 would be more difficult. More surface area puts you on top of the water more so I'd stay big. Only thing to consider w the slingshot is the flex. If it's super soft/flexible, it will camber (reverse rocker) and be slower so I'd stay big but make sure they're also pretty stiff. I find softer boards to be slower. And yes, at 310 I'd say you're gonna have to stay above 19.5. Just my initial thoughts
