Six metre Mercedes camper van with rear bathroom

- This is the Corona from CS Reisemobile, a Mercedes camper van with rear bathroom. The rear bathroom in a six metre long but three metre high type conversion owes its origins to at least the 1980s. Nonetheless in this guise, it looks fresh and practical - and of course as the van is so small it is easy to find parking!

I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.
In my RUclips channel, I present reviews of recreational vehicles. Here you will find campervans and motorhomes from the cheapest camper vans to the most expensive luxury liners, from various companies including Hobby, Hymer, Carthago, Westfalia, Wingamm, La Strada, Clever Vans, Pössl, Bürstner, Niesmann Bischoff, Action Mobil, Reisemobil Manufaktur, Robeta, Trigano, Challenger, EuraMobil, Laika, Forster, Mobilvetta Design, Affinity, Globe Traveller, Benimar, Roller Team, Adria, Tourne, Megamobil, VW, Mercedes, CS, Renault, Ford, Fiat, Carado, Sunlight, Baileys, Chausson, Balcamp, Knaus, Weinsberg and others.
I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

Allen thank you for your channel . I live in Canada and feel the small campers are for the here and now. They are now making waves this side of pond. Less is more, bigger is not better.
Thanks Peter - I try to do as many small vans as I can!
+100k€ and you open a cupboard and see the square block for the screws and the naked pipes there. Nice finish for something the price of a flat.
It's a bit of a shame that there is no extractor fan in the shower compartment of the first van. Also, I think some covering should be over the house battery.
The design is so dated yet the pricing is definitely modern..😅😅
Great vans on the Mercedes chases bases some with two beds, others with huge garages for bikes and storage...really nice options. I like the drop down bed but would be concerned about how long the gas struts lasted for before breaking, that in mind I think the bunk bed is great for two friends heading off somewhere. So many options .. its not so easy to choose on the one!
I took an interest in the DeLorean sports car and the door struts on that gave out really quickly on the first models - so much so that Mr DeLorean himself once got stuck inside!
He's truthful
I do my best.
very nice - different versions for different people. If you're going to have a bathroom in the rear, you may as well have an outside option for the shower, no?
I suppose so!
Background noise preferable to his voice
Underground Perfection what an unnecessary comment 😒
Franka hardly , the presenting is basic, the diction is worse . Simple .
Wonderful video 💕🇺🇸
The length is 593 cm and width 200 cm, but the Hymer Exis-T is 599 cm by 222 cm and looks hugely more roomy to me even with permanent twin beds. The Hymer also has a good sized garage. I think the motorhome has a big advantage over the converted van in having vertical sides. I don't know what the price difference is. However in general when I compare motorhome to van conversion I find the motorhome is usually well ahead in the factors that interest me.
I've been away for a bit. Great to see you using a gimbal. Shots are nicer! Next you need a lavalier mic to minimize external sounds and focus on your voice. Great channel. Wish we had half as many vans a you do across the pond!
I have been to a couple of places to get a microphone but have not yet found anything suitable!
If your camera has a mic jack,@@VanlifewithAlan, a cheap wired lavalier mic with a long enough cable to not pull on the gimbal will help a ton. If not, something like this might work - instamic.io/. You'd need to sync the audio on your computer but there are programs like PluralEyes that do that automagically.
The key is to get the mic as close to your mouth as possible so that the volume of your voice is significantly higher than any other noises.
Which camera and camera holder you're using? Please 🙏
How has this pasted any form of type approval with a gas compartment like that, it should be full sealed, aluminum lined and vented through the floor?
Not in Germany.
@@VanlifewithAlan
Strange as I would have thought they would have been as strict as our country is over things like that. When we send vehicles for type approval they check everything.
Many thanks for your reply.
Have a good Christmas Alan
@@dantheman321 It is strange because as a general rule, the EU is much more stringent that the US on matters like this. All the best for 2019!
This video didn't age well! Bet they don't sell many Corona's
I perfer the 2nd & 3rd one 😊
So overall I think that it's a nice layout. My issue is the 1990s style euro interior decor along with the ridiculous asking price, maybe 70k euros as it sits (frankly 60-65k euros is probably more reasonable). Companies really need to stop using the Sprinter chassis until Mercedes lowers their margins on the van. A Sprinter is not a 40k USD base van. Mercedes could profitably build the Sprinter for about 30k USD. I would never buy a Ford van, so that pretty much leaves the Promaster/Ducato vans as the only viable option for efficient van builds (unless you just like to burn money on low Ford reliability or high upfront costs with the Mercedes).
I know it’s difficult but it would be so nice to see how low the bed comes down. Please.
At exhibitions like this, it is not permitted. If you want, you can write to the company and ask them directly and then I will do it.
Very nice, but I think I'm never gonna sell my 7meter hymer, compare to this hymer is a luxury hotel)
Liked the look of the one at 7:30, even though a little large externally, the pass through compartment from rear good for storage and if you have a dog, somewhere out the way for sleeping for it too.
All the best Alan, you have a successful and enjoyable new year and keep up the good work.
Happy New Year John!
very nice many thanks. We are still hope to see a full video of the DUO, one of the most interesting vans for me.
I thought I had filmed all of their vans but I don't have one of the Duo - I will try and get one for you!
@@VanlifewithAlan Thanks a lot, that would be very nice, your videos are the best made on CS Reisemobile vans.
Thanks that is nice to read!
Corona? Well played
For half of that price you can get the karmann dexter 595
And for one tenth the price you could buy ten hectolitres of beer.
Being a Mercedes and with time you would think they would've utilitied the space better, with cost.
Name ?
Alan
@@VanlifewithAlan thx
I like European conversions more than Americans` and I like their prices even more but what about the new diesel engines regulations in Europe, can you still drive these in the city?
Whats the name of the one with the bunk beds
And this is almost $ 170000??
Yes I found that price a bit startling too. The interior of the first one didn't look retro - it looked like it really was out of the 70's or 80's.
It comes with a rape kit.
This is why people are building their own. Who could afford that price?
2 years later...damn corona lol
I dont understand why they can not come up better ideas
Interesting point. Please list your ideas?
It’s hideous! For 100000€!!?!?
4x4?
What is the weight capacity of that ceiling bed?
sooo let the music play
I thought for 102,000 euro you would see alot more of a luxury finish inside. Not impressed
I like the first one but no microwave lol
How are you going to power it in a van?
Alan Heath solar/lithium batteries ?
@@ramonaburns605 You'd need a LOT of solar to power a microwave.
Not worth my hard earned dollar, cheap cheap cheap, it's the cost of a home, REALLY? SO NOT WORTH WHAT YOUR ASKING!
Are you kidding? Its also a Mercedes with all that for only 100 thousand. Thats incredible
Exists in United States??
Not that I know of!
What is it with the US not keeping up!!! So frustrating seeing all the beautiful RV's not available here!!! 😤
No viene la cama y no especifica como se coloca el gas y el agua
He hecho otros videos donde lo explico.
Can you get it in the uk
oh your so gd
👍👍👍
Name of the company ?
CS Reisemobile.
name didnt age well
The new sprinter has such an ugly front end which would be a dealbreaker.
Obviously matter of taste! I like the front end on the Sprinter!
Not my type of campervan. I dont like the colors, or actually anything there. For that price I'd go something else, for like MB Hymer.
There is a choice of colour for those buying new.
Can you not yell at us please ...
Per quel che costa nulla di che...
very expensive and very ugly. Waste of time and work for the manufacture.
Unusable shower
The decoration is either outdated or *_vintage._* Horrible indeed.
Οκ
This price just joke
this robo reporter almost sounds real
I never buy this motor home.
I'll give you 450 quid for it
Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive...a comparable Poessl costs easily less than half..
...thinking about it now, you can buy a Concorde liner for this price...insane
You can buy a used Concorde liner for this price - and you can scarcely compare Poessl to CS!
@@VanlifewithAlan let me rephrase that: you can buy "Concorde-like" liners for this price where i live. New, not used. And why cant you compare to CS to Poessl? Even if your best argument is that "CS are better", its not like Poessls or Hymers or Knaus are bad?! None of them will ever give you trouble and with little maintenance any of them will last you a lifetime. So i personally dont see the point on theses CS. Plus the interior looks weirdly cheap on this example you have in the video, not sure what happened there..
@@Driftuner I suppose one can compare anything to anything, for example I could compare the dog to a comet hitting Jupiter. What I should have written that it is not the same class.
@@VanlifewithAlan why are you taking this so personally? Im just expressing my opinion. And why do you say its not the same class? What are the differences then? Please i would love to read your opinion on this. Im not being sarcastic or anything, im serious.
Who cares about the background noise? We want to know why you sound like a Dalek from Dr. Who!
