Yeah, Kanauru initially did stuff like this as a fan, and has since worked on multiple music videos for Hololive. My two favorites are Sweet Appetite by Bae & Gura, and Carbonated Love by IRyS.
Technically Myth's very first original song together. It was kind of an experiment, and written by Calli in just one evening with a bottle of wine - but its legacy is legendary. Aside from proving that the 5 of them could carry their own in a song it also for one popularized their "Smol" models, _and_ was the first music video the animator Kanauru was involved in. Kanauru went on to make A LOT of other MVs for Hololive (and other VTubers) afterwards, including several of the songs you've reacted to. Almost everything 3D from the EN and ID branches is made by them, and lately they've also made MVs for several JP talents. Their style is pretty recognizable because they usually include *A TON* of action and references into the scenes, to the point that you'll still discover new details even after dozens of re-watches. (For example a compilation on their channel revealed that there has apparently been an ongoing plot across all of their works where variants of Amelia are collecting certain items for safekeeping; and you can sometimes spot the foreground action from one video in the background of another.) Just to name/explain a handful of references in this song: - 0:55 Several of the carved pumpkins use the faces of their mascots/fans, and most of the tombstones refer to them as well. - 1:12 "Ina Milk" references an instance from their Minecraft streams, where Ame built vending machines for various foods - including milk, provided by Ina's cows. But the label on the machine read a bit suspicious... - 1:24 Yes, that's Shrek. Calli has a bit of a love/hate relationship with that franchise. - 1:38 Ame falling down on the viewer references her "ground pound" running gag - which started when she reacted to a Mario game teaching her about that move by stating that "that's what [she] did to your mom last night!" The rest is history. - 1:53 "Dino Gura" went on to become the most adorable plushie Hololive has ever produced (don't @ me) and the mod that adds her to Palworld was one of the very few game mods the girls ever used on stream. - 2:09 You recognized Mumei (the owl girl) as the ghost. The other members of HoloEN's second generation (then Project Hope & Council, now Promise) were also present in their makeshift halloween models (the Halloween event was their first VRChat stream, so they had to rush out models for them) -> 1:51 IRyS; 2:36 Kronii; 3:04 Bae; 3:16 Fauna; 3:18 Sana - 2:13 Mumei had an obsession with berries in Minecraft for some reason. - 2:32 The statue represents Akai Haato, better known as Haachama. She is "the strongest idol" and has produced a lot of unhinged lore over the years that basically makes her an eldritch being, despite originally just being a regular girl. _Way too much_ to cover here, but if you can find a good compilation, that would be a great Halloween react... - 3:08 Those teddies are Udin, the mascot of Hololive's zombie girl (and everyone's #1 fan) Kureiji Ollie. - 3:13 The maze is on fire because in a Minecraft stream Ceres Fauna - "Mother Nature" herself - accidentally burned down a forest. - 3:27 That's a deep cut: In her debut Gura surprised everyone by singing the song "Ride On Time" - so here she is riding on Kronii, who is canonically the "Warden of Time". - 3:35 Kiara convinced Ina to watch the "Cats" movie with her, which left some trauma... - 3:59 Yes, Kiara is adding her fans to the potion. As the owner of a fast foot brand she can be pretty harsh to her "employees" - you do not want to know what happens if someone gets sent to "the usual room"... - 4:01 Another Haachama depiction. If you like food don't look up "Haachama Cooking"... - 4:20 Gura's suspiciously positioned glowstick references the first time they collabed in VRChat (using models of the same art style), where she positioned a glowstick asset they had in that exact way to see the others' reactions. - 4:40 The last like on their Ouija board reads "Y A G O O" - which is the nickname of Cover Corp./Hololive's CEO, which he got when a talent misread the kanji for his actual name "Tanigo". He is celebrated as "best girl" in the community and has embraced that role. - 4:44 The pumpkin-headed figure at the end has Yagoo's face. ... and that's only scratching the surface. There are so many details that need _much_ more context and/or only appear for a couple frames in the background. It's a goofy fun and catchy song - but it's also a celebration of pretty much everything HoloEN had accomplished up to that point.
You can actually tour the location parts of this video was set in in VRChat. Amelia Watson (DetectiveAmelia in VRChat) posted it in public along with the HoloAquarium. (It's the Halloween themed area from the elevator.) Edit: Forgot to put the name of the map up. It's Hololive English Smolverse.
They have quite a few maps they used over the years, all connected via the temporal elevator. The latest is an aquarium filled with representations of all Hololive talents as fish, made as a parting gift for Ame's (semi-)retirement.

Some may have different means of getting back though. I believe for the Halloween one you had to interact with a specific grave? Dunno, it's been literal years...

I was actually wondering about the HoloAquarium, because when you spawn there you're in the elevator as well, but no connection to Smolverse as far as I can tell. I'm not familiar enough with VRChat to know if you can link worlds.
I like your hands-on-cheeks pose. Looks really cozy. Yeah, the ghost is supposed to be Mumei, the Owl. The model is nicknamed Boomei. Ina Milk is a reference to their Minecraft server, where Amelia built a button-operated dispenser that gave out buckets of milk. Gura partook of one and then noticed that Ame had put up a sign saying "Ina milk" on the side of the dispenser. She was very disgusted by the implications.

There is an infamous stream where Ina and Kiara did a watch-a-long of the Cats Movie (and both hated it). also TKB is short slang for Chikubi which is Japanese for nipple. The Ouji board spells out Yagoo, who is the CEO of Cover Corp (who run Hololive) Gura is a known prankster and meme artist, during a 3d collab she may have stuck a glowstick in the same place. I highly recommend checking out one of Holomyths other Original songs. My personal suggestion would be either ReUnion or The Show Goes On.
This one one of the first 3D MVs that Myth did and was a big confidence booster for them to do more songs together. Its full of references everywhere, like tens if not a hundred references. You'll find that with most of Kanauru's videos. He's THE 3D MV guy now, but back then he did more funny videos like this one.

Will the whole milk thing is a inside joke when the myth girls used to play Minecraft one of the girls was in charge of the milk making in the game and the other girls always wondered where the milk came from so they always teased her about it and that's is where the meme was born lol 🤣

The Ina Milk was explained several times already, the attack that Ame does at the very beginning is her trademark "ground pound", and yes. the Ghost Girl in front of Kiara is Mumei, the other Birb from Holo EN (now we have others, but at the time it was just them 2), and she is throwing Berrys at Kiara, because Mumei was wild for Berrys in Minecraft for a while. It was hilarious. And Dino Gura was a fan favourite, which also inspired a Mod for Palworld, where some of the Plas are Dino Gura. And many, many more Easter Eggs. :D Also, if you want something a little more Spooky for Halloween, I recommend watching the 3 HoloweEN episodes. It's not Music Videos, but more a Spooky Story. They went on to record four songs after this, Journey Like a Thousand Years, Non-Fiction, ReUnion and The Show Goes On that are a bit more serious and all really good. And they're worth getting to know individually too. Calli in particular is actually probably the biggest Hololive EN vtuber when it comes to music with tons of great songs.

Yeah, they played the MV in the VR server at the end of the Halloween collab I never realized that Fauna was supposed to be a mushroom in this. I always figured since she has a long neck, she was supposed to be a weird take on a giraffe

The mythological beast Fauna is based on is also called a kirin (from a quick look in Wikipedia there's a story explaining the connection, see the "qilin" entry). So it's "lore accurate" 😉

I don't know how fast you record and put stuff out but Hakos Baelz Happy Halloween if you want to do one more before Halloween. Also, Myth is Hololive English's first gen, Kiara, Gura, Ina, Calli, and Ame they're all awesome. Though you really can't go wrong with any of EN's music
The animation has dozens of inside jokes referring to memes, fanimations/fancanons, personal histories, and situations that occurred amongst the EN members at that time, not just Myth. This video is weirdly biographical as an actual history of Hololive's EN portion. As for some of the references: Look up "Gura/Ina Milk" "3D Gura is Dangerous" "Mumei Berries" just for a little bit of context.
It's not a Halloween song, but Kiara does have a song cover called "4 Blood" that I'd love to see your reaction to. There's also lots of covers by Hololive talents of a song called Vampire. Narissa has an English version, while Kiara sings the original Japanese.

With the milk, the quickest way to explain...is a fan animation by one of Gura's fans, Dudul. One of the items in that was forced to be named Ina Milk, but Ame never told anyone what the items in the machine were. That is why Gura was so reactive to seeing the milk.
Such a goofy song, but one of my favorite group songs from HoloEN. Calli hammered out the lyrics for it in a single night with the help of a bottle of Jack Daniels. I think the entire production was done over the course of a week?
I can't believe you're not that familiar with some of the other Myth members. Calli makes a lot of songs, the latest was Go-Getters for Suicide Squad Isekai, Ina is an artist & sang Violet, and Amelia recently graduated but is now an indie with a similar model.
Okay, the cat thing. Kiara and… I think it was Ina? Watched the Cats movie. Kiara loved it… for whatever reason. So, she holds up a poster for Cats 2. The Horror.
Kiara has a thing to be a contrarian for somethings that the internet hates. She doesn't love love cat's just that the hate is over blown. Her and Nerissa had a conversation about it last year I think.
Not sure if it's open to the public but the things you saw in this MV are pretty much assets they used in a VRChat session they did for Halloween a while back. They did different activities and whatnot. Like that hedge maze there. And every time I see Gura in that dino costume, I remember the exact moment during that stream where the other members just absolutely fawn over her cuteness, and Amelia says the iconic "she's so cute I'm gonna diieee!" Edit: Also... her name is spelled G U R A. But you actually pronounce it as "Goobidiba" 🤣jk. If your pronunciation of it starts with a "Goo" sound then the rest of it don't matter. Some people just call her Goomba. 'Goo-rah' is good though.

@@robertmauck4975 Pretty sure Fauna is meant to be based on a giraffe in this form... the Japanese for giraffe is 'kirin.' The mythological beast Fauna is based on is also called a kirin (from a quick look in Wikipedia there's a story explaining the connection, see the "qilin" entry). So it's "lore accurate" 😉

Guras Dinosaur costume is a real one, I had it in the late 80s or 90s.
The animation has dozens of inside jokes referring to memes, fanimations/fancanons, personal histories, and situations that occurred amongst the EN members at that time, not just Myth.
This video is weirdly biographical as an actual history of Hololive's EN portion.

With the milk, the quickest way to explain...is a fan animation by one of Gura's fans, Dudul. Dudul has made multiple awesome animations, and one of them shares exactly why that milk is seen in this song.

A longer detailed explanation: Ame in minecraft made a working vending machine. One of the items in that was forced to be named Ina Milk, but Ame never told anyone what the items in the machine were. That is why Gura was so reactive to seeing the milk.
Such a goofy song, but one of my favorite group songs from HoloEN. Calli hammered out the lyrics for it in a single night with the help of a bottle of Jack Daniels. I think the entire production was done over the course of a week?

I can't believe you're not that familiar with some of the other Myth members. Calli makes a lot of songs, the latest was Go-Getters for Suicide Squad Isekai, Ina is an artist & sang Violet, and Amelia recently graduated but is now an indie with a similar model.
Okay, the cat thing. Kiara and… I think it was Ina? Watched the Cats movie. Kiara loved it… for whatever reason. So, she holds up a poster for Cats 2. The Horror.
Kiara has a thing to be a contrarian for somethings that the internet hates. She doesn't love love cat's just that the hate is over blown. Her and Nerissa had a conversation about it last year I think.
Not sure if it's open to the public but the things you saw in this MV are pretty much assets they used in a VRChat session they did for Halloween a while back. They did different activities and whatnot. Like that hedge maze there. And every time I see Gura in that dino costume, I remember the exact moment during that stream where the other members just absolutely fawn over her cuteness, and Amelia says the iconic "she's so cute I'm gonna diieee!"
Edit: Also... her name is spelled G U R A. But you actually pronounce it as "Goobidiba" 🤣jk. If your pronunciation of it starts with a "Goo" sound then the rest of it don't matter. Some people just call her Goomba. 'Goo-rah' is good though.
