- Thursday June 22, 2023’ marks day 1 of working on restoring my Full Size 96’ Eddie Bauer @ford #bronco
Thursday, we began with taking out the old battery and putting in a new fully charged Marine Group 27 battery. ( @interstatebatteries ) We tried to get the truck running right after that, but it didn’t work, so we tried to get it running by spraying break cleaner into the air intake, which got the engine going for a solid minute before stopping. Which showed us that the fuel pump was not working. We filled up the coolant afterwards and put 2 gallons of non-ethanol gasoline into the tank, but still no start. To fix the fuel pump, we have to cut open an access port to fix it inside the trunk of the bronco. It’s much easier to do it that way than hassle with dropping the entire tank. We then jacked the truck up about a foot off the ground and took all 4 tires off, which’ll be replaced later on, because we have to take apart and redo the entire breaking system.
Friday morning, my Uncle got a deal for a Yacht and we drove to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, to the marina there to check it out. My first ever time on a real boat.
I miss my old broncos. I had a 93 and then a 96 Eddie buaer. The only think i have left is the rear seat and i think i have the plastic hub caps somewhere lol. I need to get another bronco. Good luck with yours, i hope you enjoy it.
hope u stick around to witness me really enjoying it!
I love Ford Broncos, the blocky design fits with the rugged look of the truck with the off-road tires. I remember always seeing one that my uncle’s neighbor had , sadly 7 years later. It was sold . But would I love to see that truck again
