You got it shifting perfectly. No need to let it shift any earlier. It's also a good idea to warm up the engine with a heat gun before starting your nitro, especially in the cooler months. Also tuning a nitro engine is base on the outside weather(temperature). I love nitro rc cars and trucks. Got a few myself. Have fun bro! One love.
The gears change with rotational mass so if that’s not reaching higher rpm it will not shift gears which is the tune , you only start turning when it’s at optimum running temperature 220-250 ish , but seems like you got it shifting gears now & running good , keep burning nitro 💯👌🤙🇬🇧
Thats a one way bearing inside where you look for the allen head. So i get it so that first opening is close to inline with the outside hole, then rock the spur gear back and forth, and youll see the inside metal gear rotate just a little bit everytime you rock the spur gear, till the allen appears in the window. I also notice that although last time i had the car out, it may have been shifting perfect, and next time, if the weather is differeent, and its not running as strong, it will also not shift. It seems to me when its lean and weak, it wont shift easy, and when its tuned up right, and the power hits hard, it makes the tranny shift easier. So always fair on the side of a little rich. The car will run more consistent rich than it will lean.
Bro put your thumb over the exhaust hole hit the ex start a few times to get the fuel in the lines then you wont never need to hit the throttle to get it to start
Now you need to get you a gps my boyy...I recommend the "Sky Rc gps". So you can start clocking your rc and see how fast you're going, and possibly make some adjustments. Other than that you are catching on very quick👍👍👍💯💯💯
Bra you got it tuned in pretty good now. I just bought my 1st traxxas T Max. I got 3 hpj savages. I haven't even opened the box yet. The jato is next for me.
I put a savage 4.6 big block in mine yrs ago the 4.6 is one of my favorite motors or a lrp 32 big block they got massive power. Really almost to much for that car cause its lightweight. The savage 4.6 was just a dun truck to bash. Wish there parts support didnt go south yrs back.

@DskPeezy nitro fuel, look for "Vp racing nitro fuel", or sidewinder nitro fuel, try to avoid the traxxas fuel even tho it's cheaper they put to much oil in it, and I would look for 20%-25% nitro to 9-12% oil ratio type fuel

Told u bro! Now we need a go ped, dirt bike, four wheeler, pocket bike coalition south Florida vibes. I’m from the 561 they got a shop up here by the way traxxas dealer.

Great job with the tune 👍
Don't forget to check the slip clutch adjustment that effects the 2 speed shifting also ✌️
Turn the second knob on the radio you won't have to give it gas to start

That little demon is tuned right!! Wow
Get a car stand and tune it on there that way you're not chasing it adjust the transmission screw
I think a weighted chasis would help the wheelie instead of the wheelie bar I wonder if they make chasis with extra weight to them?

You arent going fast enough bro. Those things go 70. Stay on the gas grandma!
Wym 70 mph us too fucking fast n you talkin slow
I have to adjust my shift point everytime i change my gearing or swapping big and small drag tires
Do a 17m wheel upgrade get a gps and see how fast she go
It’s the tuning . That’s why it’s not switching gears … ⚙️ go back to factor settings & start from there
You got dialed in Vee
Tighten up your slipper for the street , loosen it up if you run on grass or dirt
Did you do the break in process ?
It shifted. You have to keep it pegged long enough for it to shift. They all need to be driven for a minute before it will start shifting.
Are you going to get some upgrades for it bro
gotta go 1/5 scale with a rcmax motor...
Imagine if it had 3 gears!! My friend has a 3 speed transmission on his 30 degree north gas car!! It fly’s bro!
Original Jato 3.3 has 3 gears.
30% nitro will also wake her up but not sure if the plug is right tho? 👍
