Another attempt at a lowrider style fish scale custom paint effect using candies with my Iwata HP-CS airbrush on a steel panel previously flaked with my Flake King 500 airbrush adaptor.

That came out looking great. Its tedious work with all the tape lines and masking up plus the cut and polish but worth the end result. Nice work.

Cool video! Nice effect. Was that a black candy or just black acrylic? What does your wife think about airbrushing in the house. Do you have a fan going? How do you deal with the paint smell? Thanks

Just ordinary black, doesn't need to be candy. No real issues with smells, I tend to leave the outside door open in summer or run the kitchen extract in winter.

The stencil was acetate sheet cut by my eldest girl on her Cricut 👍
