Just picked up a vintage seiko watch that is my birth year watch. It's styling is really nice. Took me a long time to find one and then a day after I finally got it another popped up locally...Murphy's law I guess at work. Mines a Silver wave model and they seem to have used that name a few time in the early days of seiko when they started to push into overseas models. It's got what I think they call a linen dial and it looks so good.
I just picked up two seiko 5s on the second hand market. One from 1972 and one from 2010. Both are beautiful. Dilemma now. I seem to swap watches midday. I have other watches, but those two are so comfy.
@@perfectwrist23 My parents bought it for me in 1968. If you google 'Enicar Ocean Pearl'' then select images, you'll see the resemblance in some of the white faced models. Cheers.
And I am sure you paid a lot less than the Reissue Bulova. Great looking watch. I just got into Seiko, but I have been disappointed with the finish and fit of the new ones, plus I prefer the charm of vintage reliable pieces. I currently have a Lord Magic 7319 in the cushion case. Seiko knew what they were doing back then.

Very nice pick up! Enjoy!
Thanks!
Nice strap too. This Seiko 5 reminds me of the Mido Commander 1959.
Lovely
Nice watch. It looks very similar to my first watch, an Enicar Ocean Pearl.
Never heard of that

Wow great feedback thanks!
Was it originally sold with metal bracelet ? Already 19 mm size ?
Mmmm.....well its long gone if it was. Mine came like this and it suits so won't be changing it.
@@perfectwrist23Thanks for the answer and congratulations for the review .
