I do not miss chasing them/me around the snubbing post. He also did an Old McDonald's farm setup so folks new what and where the animals and livestock came from in the late 1970's Florida ag counties. Warren, I love your approach! "You used to be able to rebuild these"...that was the good old days, for sure!..When you described having to take the column apart to get the harness/pigtail out, I was reminded of some great engineering on the Honda Goldwing motorcycle, where one of the harnesses ran up the middle of the steering stem and barely had enough slack to move. So (as Tim would say), I rewired it. Bought connectors (not Honda, just AMP with enough pins) and added about a foot to the harness, so you could work on it or the steering stem easily and unplug or reconnect as needed and secure it out of the way.

Easy. Drive around, knock on doors and tell people you'll work on their equipment at half the hourly rate everyone else charges. You'll still be making over fifty per hour, watch as your competitors one by one go out of business and your the only guy in town with everyone else's customers. Then you raise your rates and charge whatever the hell you want. knowing you got those bastards by the balls, and within 5 years you'll sell the shop and comfortably retire. Pretty simple.

more dogs...your wingman is a feature...your repair chops are without a doubt the best...but to grow your fans (me)....more dogs. Seems absurd I'm sure but every time you pat Josie, or love a weiner dog....I stay with you longer. CEE has built their base half on Curtis skills, half on that crazy Staffie w/ the oversized parts. Wrenching the impossible is fascinating and you're recognizably a master....but think what fun you'd have narrating to your dog as things go sideways. Just an occaisional cutaway to your pup paying no attention to your ranting would be gold. I speak from experience having worked a reality show for 20 years. It was always the sidebars that lent substance and humor to the main narrative. Talk to your dogs, instead of the engineers who didn't get it right, the opportunity is PERFECT.
Josie, this frozen, rusted bolt is a fucking mess...what now???...cut to Josie fast asleep. I know that editing is a time consuming black hole but you've the players in place and some serious skills......carry on! Thx for the vids...
