Somehow a game made in the late nineties had a soundtrack that i thought was in half-life 2. After i played Dues ex it made me realize how WEIRD games were back then. two years before it half-life 1 with music quality so good i thought a game released years later had the music. Then Dues ex, with music AMAZING despite limitations. Like, the fuck, how do games work like that back then? It's nice but weird that there wasn't just an 'industry standard' where everyone had baseline requirements for a game genere.

@@smiley3637 Aperture science exists in the half life universe and Gordon knows about it so I guess I’ll add that cause Everyone at black mesa and everyone at aperture are rivals I’m out of ideas so I’m gonna include the Cut Conscripts from hl2 (They worked for both combine and resistance)

The reason I prefer 1 over 2 is that it's more fun. 2 is good and all, but the gameplay is not as good and it relies to much of level gimmicks than functional gameplay. Doom 3 was a mess, though.
Well yeah, 2 is much different then the original, but that doesnt mean it's bad, but yeah you're right it really is like Doom 3 it does not fit in with the rest of the franchise.
