I've never tried steam bending so I'm looking forward to seeing you bend some wood with that setup. Looks really cool and I bet you could cook some rice in that thing. lol

I made a steam box like this one and it worked very well until after the steamer element burned out. When I contacted the manufacturer about it they told me that there was no replacement element available and that they made it so it could not be serviceable by consumers due to legal issues. It seems to me that if an element on an electric water heater can be replaced then it should be on this but it isn't.
So I made my own steamer using plexiglass, plexiglass adhesive, silicone gasket maker (for making gaskets on automotive parts-resists high heat), a Richmond Adapt-O-Flange kit, and finally a 2000 Watt / 120V restored copper heating element. It took me about a day to put this all together BUT I now have a serviceable steamer that will last me years!
Oh I forgot to mention that I used the filler tube from the burnt out steamer on the new steamer I built.
    Nice video, thanks for sharing!

That particular steam reservoir lasts up to 2 hours of steam!! Also a quick tip: you can add the caulk or what ever other sealer you have to the joint just like glue before you attach the two pieces together.......hopefully that makes sense!! Great Build, lookin forward to seeing some projects with it!!

Hey, great job on the build, but can I offer you some advice? I noticed that you have to hold each bit into your impact driver...pull the sleeve on the impact forward, or away from the tool, and insert whatever bit you want to use. When you pull the front metal, textured sleeve forward, your bits will lock in. Do the same to remove. Hope this helped!

I noticed that you kept holding them when removing the tool from the screw...and thought...HOW annoying that would be if I didn't know, so I wanted to extend my lesson learned to you!

If the box fails after a few uses you might want to try to make the bext one out of exterior plywood.

Nice. What type of pocket hole jig do you use? i have been wanting one but don't know if its worth all the money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, i know you play hockey so do you have any tips on balancing school, sports, and videos? Great video as always!

***** Noticed that your driver bits were falling out. Is your new impact driver not locking the bits in or are the bits non-locking? Just wondering. Great project and awesome work Eric!

Bryon Agin Some Bits could be different than others. By that i mean they dont lock into the chuck. The only way to use them is if you hold them in.

You're showing how to build a steam box herfe but you also have called the steamer "the steam box". I'm sure it's just a verbal slip up but when you're making an instructional video you have to assume that whoever is watching it doesn't know anything.
