- The SY 300 Guitar Synthesizer from Boss is an intriguing piece of kit . In this video I give my first impressions and a brief overview after switching it on for the first time. Spoiler alert: it was GREAT FUN - Boss nailed it with this one!

Again a great video Scott, thanks for this!! I watched it 3 times on a row and was blown away by the sounds and possibilities. Are you planning to create another video for the use of the SY-300? I am looking for a device that gives me that typical clean ‘80’s synth bass sounds, and wondering of this device can do the job? And is it possible to mix the ‘dry’ bass sound with the ‘wet’ signal of the SY-300?
Wondering if I could use this to play Van Halen's "Sunday Afternoon In The Park" on the bass? I would hope so! :)

This is a great demo. I purchased the SY300 some time ago. It is one of my favorite effects.
Great piece of equipment. Even though I'm more into the extreme metal side of things (Black and Death metal) I ntend to try and work some of this into some atmospheric tracks.
Its ace.
Great pedal if you take your time to understand subtractive synthesis (sounds more complicated than it is).
