I kept on wondering who this special voice belonged to. We hunted for it on the internet and was over the moon when my brother read out "The singer is Atif Aslam." Not knowing who the singer is and falling for a song like this, speaks for the quality of the singer itself without having to say anything else.

Tina Sani also sung this for Coke Studio (titled "Mori Araj Suno") in which the composition is more traditional and paired with another Faiz poem. I prefer that version, but this is also good from a more pop perspective.
