Skybound is putting together a dream team for the Energon universe and I couldn't be more than hyped to read them all!
Absolutely I am so excited for this.
Born in 83. Transformers and gi Joe were my top comics cartoons and toys as a kid. Daniel Warren Johnson is my favorite writer and artist along with Robert Kirkman a legend so pumped for this. I dropped all comics 3 weeks ago but will get this
Hopefully it deliverers and you will at least read these books.
Yeah, I absolutely love Void Rivals! It reinvigorated my love of comics and made me remember why I read comics. Best surprise and read for a single issue for me all year! Yes! I do share the same excitement for Void Rivals as you! I bought almost every variant etc! I have like 6 copies of this first issue lol! I’m all in man!!
I am hopeful to find more copies for myself while I am in South Carolina.

The black panther book is actually by Eve L Ewing not Al Ewing and I personally agreed with what you said about it too.
LOL thanks you see Ewing and just assume. At least I wasn't the only one who didn't like the book.

I am SOOO excited for what is coming out of Void Rivals. I was a child of the 80s. I was 5 when they started and 15 when they ended, so I was the perfect age to be into all of the toy properties. They influenced me so much that I have done a podcast called Star Joes for the past 14 years that focuses on the late 70s and 1980s licensed properties. I have had the pleasure of interviewing a lot of creators of the comics of these various properties. And then when I saw the creative teams on these titles, I was stoked. Daniel Warren Johnson has become a huge favorite of mine, so super pumped about him being on TF, and Joshua Williamson I have loved a lot of his stuff, so I'm pumped about him also. I read that the Duke and Cobra Commander titles will be mini-series that will be origin stories of Joe and Cobra for this new Energon universe. I could not be more stoked for this!

Spider man india is much better then ASM . It was well done . Definitely worthy also , DWJ is very underrated. One of the best comic artist and writers out today! Can't wait to read that series !

I don't like too many "talking heads" either. Need some story progression, action, and hopefully character development for me to want to read a comic. I like T'Challa as a character, but that new book doesn't look like one I'd enjoy either. I'd love to see John Byrne do a run on BP. I think that would be awesome (both as writer and artist). Could you imagine that?? If "Spider-man" India wasn't another Spider character, I may have been more interested. I would have preferred to see an original, new Indian hero. How awesome would that have been?? I would have definitely checked that out, but am passing on this one. "Void Rivals" sounds interesting and I may check that out based on your review. DWJ writing "Transformers" could indeed be good. I enjoyed his "Beta Ray Bill" book. Thanks, Slayer!

That Black Panther comic was damn near unreadable. I was bored and skipping pages left and right. It’s written by Eve Ewing, btw….when I saw “Ewing” was on it, I assumed it was Al as well. I’ve never enjoyed a comic Eve has written…
It's not just you. I'va also been trying to enjoi black panther since i was a kid. He's always nice to have as a side character or part of a team but all the solo black panther stuff is so boring.
I agree team stuff is where he is at.

Wow, your family must be rich. Jetfire was an expensive toy in the 80s. I’m guessing like $50 or $80 - 80s money. It’s probably like a Hot Toy back in the days…. It was the size of Omega Supreme because they were not in any scale….
Might check out Void Rivals, but the artwork is not impressing me…
Yeah you make such a good point when it comes to Transformers They were not to scale whatsoever. You can say that was my main gift for Christmas back in the '80s. I wish I got Omega supreme I wanted that thing so bad also.

Void Rival was a great read. I’m going along for the ride if this is connected to the transformers universe.
The Black Panther#1 was complete trash. I was bored. Nothing happened in the book. Too much dialogue made me start to fall asleep

The story itself and designs feel like Star Wars ripoff and more shockingly Modern designs. Is there any originality left anywhere?
After reading 3 issues of this series I am really enjoying so much more then just then the Transformers themselves.
they destroyed Transformers and GI Joe with woke crap in the previous runs so yeah we need a reboot...i got a couple copies

Man I was talking to my nephew and we both are huge transformers fans months ago and I was like “I wonder who’s gonna get that license?” We didn’t even hear about Robert getting the rights.
I was like “maybe it’ll be boom because power rangers” and he was like “maybe Dark horse cus Hasbros gonna soft and do more kiddy style”.
And I literally said it would be bad as if Image got it IMO they’re my favorite comic company and they do stuff way out of the park when they do stuff. And damn I’m hyped.
I already got the 2nd print preorders. It has Jetfire on it and it has a place on my wall man.
Transformers new Dawn is here and and it looks bad ass!
