Boban has known about that dribbling since he was a kid growing up in Serbia. In Europe it is called El Latigo ("the whip"), and long before Shammgod it was used by Serbian and Yugoslavian legends Dejan Bodiroga, Saša Danilović, Danko Cvjetićanin, Dragan Kićanović...
This video is so amazing man seeing this video is amazing childhood memories on the court back in Coney Island Brooklyn when we had the and 1 tournament
It’s crazy how we only know this dude for one move but back in the 90s if you watched college ball you know he was the best ball handler you’ve ever seen. So was magic was like he was born with a ball in his hands.
This man created a completely new and innovative move in basketball and it deserves a lot more recognition. It’s akin to the first time the crossover was used; now it’s commonplace and generally accepted as a standard feature dribble in the modern game. Respect! 🗽 🏀
@@BaronMagick Wow!! Thanks for the history lesson. I’m from Brooklyn, the same place as Shamgod, so seeing him do it was the first time I had heard or seen it. Then of course everyone in New York was trying it.
Google or hell even youtube about Bodiroga, Dejan Bodiroga. A European goat that turned down an NBA career and did this move all the time, before Shammgod ever popularized it in the US.
What would I do? Pass him the ball and see what his jimmy looks like. I used to play pickup with an older guy who had a dead arm. He wore a brace on his wrist so he could support the ball when he passed or received. He was a great shooter, had a solid handle (he would go around the back and had a little 1 handed crossover shimmy thing that i cant really describe). You had to be ready for a pass when you played with him, he would fire off these one handed rockets. I saw him on a golf course one time too. 1 handed swing, just pure and straight.
No, no , you've to roll it out 2 bounces, bring it back onto a stiff leg between the legs then throw it behind your back and shake cross-over switch hands after hands move and then finally beat them on the first step for 2pts. (or send pass for assist).
Do you guys get how cool it is that this dude is from the hood, became legendary in the parks, scrapped his way into being a role player in the NBA for ONE season, had the audacity to rename himself God and everyone was like "what?! Eh, it's your name...", has the most famous dribble move in all of basketball, and is now a player development coach in Dallas? I know that was a long ass question. lol
I perfected this move not even knowing who started it. We called it the Yo'Yo; when you do it right it looks like you have the ball on a string. The amount of move you can connect to it are endless. I'm from Charlotte for reference!
Sky hook and dreamshake would like to know your location. And Jordan’s fadeaway already know your location and bouta proceed to torch you for two easy points
@@stolensentience this are all great moves that can go 1a 1 b 1 c Kareems sky hook was unblockable and Hakeem dream shake was a cool series of moves......I think both crossovers broke more ankles and created a wow factor
Dejan Bodiroga is the REAL SHAMGOD.. THAT'S HIS MOVE.. THIS GUY IS NOTHING BUT A SHAMM(FAKE).. CREATE UR OWN MOVES STOP STEALING MOVES AND MAKING IT UR OWN.. NO SHAME IN THE GAME!
Can't wait to see Kristaps and Boban bustin this out.

It's NOT EVEN HIS MOVE.. HE STOLE IT ND NAMED IT..
My man is talking about defense while explaining a crossover. GOAT.
That stretch. That's what I'm fkn missing. Thank you so much
I watched shamgod tutorial from various players, this dude teaches it best. So simple when he shows how.
“God Shammgod” is the coolest name I have ever heard. Seriously.
I’m guessing the only 2 thumbs down was a mistake - how could you fault this man, this move, this free tutorial?! 🤦🏽♂️ PVD God!
He stole the MOVE nd named it different.. Dejan Bodiroga MOVE

Wow! It's a very nice move.
When a move is named after you, that's when you know that you're a legend of the game.
Bro, imagine the Mavs got Kidd, Kyrie, Luka, and Shammgod on the payroll. Handle IQ at 200.
But it's still not his move..
The master!

Oh, the move involves kind of shimmy footwork too. I didn't noticed until this one's very clear. Thanks for the creation God lol
