hello awkward, ive been using spring but recently im gettin fed up with them and how they needlessy remove my designs for my new edgy late 90's niche shop and im looking to find a new site , in what ways would you say yall are better than Spring?

I use Awkward Styles already through Printify. Good quality and fast shipping. The only issue was on dark garments when they missed using a white underbase. This step should not be missed on dark garments. It doesn't happen a lot but it does create issues when this step is missed in production. It creates issues when I have to do returns or refunds. Just beware of dark garments like what Shimmy showed in this video. If this issue gets resolved they are one of the better POD services.
You are one of the few reviewers who washes the products prior to reviewing. That is, as you might say, “brilliant!” I don’t ever bother with the other reviewers who don’t run them through the wash. Thanks, Shimmy!

I use cotton heritage through awkward styles and I'm so glad to see it getting the recognition it deserves! Although the fit isn't as roomy as other styles like gildan, I just make sure the size chart stands out. The quality is 100% worth the slight difference

The only negative thing I have to say is the packaging in this video is misleading. My items came in a plain polymailer(not complaining about that), but none of my products were individually wrapped as shown here. Just placed together in a polymailer. Other than that, the quality was the best I have tested so far. SO Kudos to Awkward Styles.

aww.. my favorite part of this side hustle is when i make a shirt for someone i personaly know and the reaction i get from them..... it's the reason i love to do this kind of thing... and keeps me going for hours and not making any sales.... but anonymous sales would be nice too lol

Thanks for the timely and helpful review. I've been trying to use Awkward Styles for the last week but as a relative newbie I found the website less intuitive than some other POD's. For some reason I can't create an order from the templates as you did in the video, it just goes to a blank Order Screen. I also find it odd that you can't remove products from your Awkward Styles store at their end and have to remove it from your Sales Channel store and re-sync backwards to remove the item in your Awkward Styles Store. I've chatted with Customer Service who took a couple of days to reply and they couldn't give me an explanation for the order issue and said they will release a store deletion fix in a future update as they know it's a problem. It's a shame as I'd love to make a manual order to test their products as you have because the pricing and quality looks incredible. Thanks

Same problem here for a few months. Even after the updated the dashboard. After I upload my email click on create order and that's it goes to a blank Order Screen. I sent videos, photos, and examples for 2 months back and forth and I guess their IT developers don't know why it's happening. I did find out it's something with their code and such because when you mouse over you can see the pointer turns to a hand to select the size etc. I tried from 4 computers and 3 different locations and browsers and had the same issue. I JUST GAVE UP. i really like them but....
@@shimmymorris1 As @Kobi Adato has also experienced the Blank Order screen is an issue they seem unable to resolve. I even cleared caches and created a new account with a different browser, created Templates and tried to order with exactly the same blank screen issue. I appreciate people are clearly using Awkward Styles without issue and like yourself are very happy with their products but it's a shame there's a significant minority that would like to use them but simply can't! 😞

I just compared Printify and Awkward styles on champion shirts and believe it or not Awkward is lower priced than Printify by a decent margin.

Their mockups look so good you dont even need to make your own mockups. I like printify but their standard mockups look terrible. Good job awkward styles!
I'm looking at getting back into POD (after having paused for several years). Happy to see your excitement about Awkward Styles - but then I also saw your Gelato review. I get that companies have made a lot of progress in quality and speed. How do you compare the two? ... or do you have yet another one in store that would even beat either one of those two?
I prefer Awkward Styles from a quality standpoint. Even though Gelato was a little cheaper on some products, I think overall, if you're going to connect with Etsy, try Awkward Styles

Based on this video I started using AwkwardStyles. After several months I have moved all our T-Shirts, hoodies, etc. to them. Not only is their quality superb, it is matched by their lightning fast production and shipping. I have uploaded and ordered a design that arrived in less than 5 days from idea to my front door! @@Mermaid03_03 Printify is a competitor of theirs. I order either direct from AwkwardStyles or I use the Shopify starter program which is just $5 a month. I have used them with Etsy but my sales mostly come from clubs and organizations that we do tees and other POD products. So I don’t want people stealing our designs on Etsy. It integrates very easily with Shopify and Etsy. Direct Ordering is very easy.
I’m curious about the cotton heritage brand. I personally love Bella canvas for myself. I do not care for heavy tops 9 months out of the year where I live. Thanks for the review!

Used Champion brand since I was a child: my mother Bought for me mainly two brands for t-shirts at the time: Fruit of the Loom and Champion.

What does the back of the framed picture look like? What I mean is, how does the hanging mechanism look like? Additionally, does the items hold up a year later and does the shop still produce as high-quality products?
I have given away that picture so can't check the back for you. In terms of the clothes, I still have them and wear them and they look awesome! They've definitely held up well

It depends on the country. If you’re selling in the USA go for Awkward Styles. They’re awesome. If you’re in the uk go for Gelato or Printful. If your anywhere else in the world. Go for Gelato

It doesn't look like it. But If I was going for a Champion item, I wouldn't want to get rid of that as it holds a lot of value
I'm having bad luck with the shipping right now. lost item and 3 WEEK shipping time! Almost 1 month from order to delivery! It still has not been delivered at the time of this writing. Everything else is pretty good? I believe your recommendation is what turned me onto AS? You have any more recommendations?

I've noticed Akwardstyles sell merch on Amazon, I find this concerning as it could potentially be a conflict of interest. How can we be sure they aren't using our data to leverage and sell similar pieces?

Hi Mahad! We value transparency and the trust sellers put in us; we would never use data to gain an advantage on our online stores. As we state on our About page, we did start selling online! However, as can be seen in our Privacy Policy, we do not use your data to leverage and sell similar pieces in our stores. We have a team of in-house designers that work really hard to create best-selling designs, some of which can even be found in the Awkward Styles design gallery available for our users! We hope this helps answer your question. :)
The only con I have with them is that they don’t allow you to use your OWN designs on the beanies, you gotta use THEIR colors instead.
I wanna be able to put my own design all over the hat and not just use what they offer…it sucks for that reason alone.

I wouldn't use Awkward Styles for the UK. shipping would take too long. You could have separate listings, separate shops... I just try and focus mainly on the US as it's a much bigger market

When someone’s buy an item, how do I make sure that a uk customer will get the item delivered from a uk pod site? SPOD is much cheaper too. SPOD has the Customizer, and also has an option put your design and theirs on whatever product they choose (eliminating the tedious one-by-one application).
With SPOD, no worries on mindless stock image penalties. Also, you can do an app for your store(s).

It's hard to say. So many print on demand platforms are absolutely terrible when it comes to quality. At the moment, I'd say Awkward Styles, maybe gelato and maybe printful. But I have a video coming out on this as it's getting ridiculous

Money or not, i never let it sway my judgement. Someone can't pay me to say something I don't want to say, they can however, pay me to give them some time, if a bad review comes out of that time, so be it, if a good reviews comes out of it, so be it. I've done a ton of company reviews like this, some are bad, some are good.
Awkward styles was genuinely good and a nice company to deal with. The Master Class series came way after this video, they pitched the idea to me and I said sure, I didn't get paid for that. I just thought it would be a good idea to spread my message.
I'm on a few print on demand sites as I believe there isn't one all powering site, there are many with many different qualities.

I love Cotton Heritage but I don't think a POD UK company sells it. I find working out costs and a sale price difficult because of extra taxes and extra shipping costs

I looked into them, but they don't print on Sleeves and that is something I need on 80% of my products. Until they offer that, I can't use them.

I have a champion shirt I bought for $30 and its the worst t shirt I own. After one wash it was already shrinking and stretching oddly and was just feeling terrible. Target shirts are better and they are $20 for 3.
oh gosh that's not good! Mine are still fine and i've done tons of washes now. Maybe you got a bad one, I would contact and request a refund.

that's a good question. I'm not sure to be honest, because technically you should be able to but I don't know if it'll trigger something in the algorithm and flag it up
Question: Shimmy, when you call something a sweater, is that what is called a sweatshirt in the US or is it a knit type of product? Is it the kind of thing you would wear in a gym or what you'd wear out to dinner?
In the uk a sweater is like a hoodie without the hood. Like a jumper.
And the dinner sweater is a cardigan

@@fpvsmurf Yeah, or in the US, a jumper can even be a dress that little girls wear that goes over a shirt . . . like overalls but with a skirt instead of pant-legs. A sweater is a top knitted out of yarn, a sweatshirt is a long sleeve top made from a cotton/poly blend fleece-backed jersey fabric (not to be confused with a fleece - which is totally different), and a hoodie is a sweatshirt with a hood. And a cardigan is a sweater that opens in the front like a jacket. 😂
I’ve used awkward styles a few times and unfortunately I’ve had horrible fading and not long life out of the print (3washes and it’s faded and cracking )

That sucks! :( I've used them for a few months, haven't had any issues after washing my samples and havent heard anything from customers, fortunately. I use 100% cotton tshirts since they do better with dtg in my experience

it should be automatic based on where they live. the pod company will use the most local printing partner they have

How was the sizing? I watched another review of this company that said the sizes were inconsistent, and the sweatshirt/hoodie looked a little short when you tried it on. But, I love a super soft hoodie, so I'm definitely going to look into this company for my Etsy shop. Thanks!
Oh i also watched mey’s video but those two products are off the shoulder for ladies so its normal to size up. these are different though, i use awkward styles for bella, gildan and champion and havent had any problems
I didn't think the sizes were off, everything I got was a medium and it felt right. Nothing was too tight or too baggy.
Awkward uses blank garments from different brands and has nothing to do with sizing. They are a print and decorating service. They have the brand names and product numbers listed. Just go to the manufactures website for the sizing guides.
This guy is not very honest with his subscriber's, it's all about the affiliate commission's for him. Do your own research first. Affiliate marketers are some of the worse.

no, I just used what space i wanted to make the design look good. I could've made it a little bigger but it would look odd

Hi, could anyone answer this question please. Im in uk using Printify + Etsy Can I sell in USA only to USA using Printify Stateside, how do I do that? Can I put in personalized product to be made in USA to be only sold to USA therefore avoiding massive shipping cost?

This company has good reviews on Printify, I thought about using them but never got around to it. Monster Digital is my go to company to use for my POD shirts.
Monster Digital is also an awesome company! Ye this company has great reviews across the board, that why I wanted to review them myself and see what all the hype was about
