My Understanding and take on it is The Guitar Player is Being Judged as the Money Game with Ren being the Judge, Jury and Executioner, but in the end he realises he's a Hypocrite and like the rest of us we are all part of the Money Game, so he recreates the iconic footage of the Burning Monk. In June of 1963, Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk Thích Quang Duc burned himself to death at a busy intersection in Saigon, the Monk Sacrificed himself attempting to show that to fight all forms of oppression on equal terms, Buddhism too, needed to have its Martyrs, so Ren in the Video Sacrificed himself as a Martyr to Greed. Thats my interpretation anyway.
my interpretation of the video: The guy in the chair (his bandmate Romain) represents the money game and those in power which he is trying to fight/kill. He even draws eyes on the mask, trying to make them see. When he grabs the gasoline he it's a representation of wanting to burn the whole system down. But as he says in the chorus of the song, we're all part of the money game, so we have to start looking towards ourselves and not just blame the big guys. Which is why he sets himself on fire.
Fun fact: this was yet another live one shot video. There are no cuts, just really thought out choreography.

The lyric version of $game 2 is the better version. The guitarist was Romain from the band The Big Push that Ren was a member of a few years back.
I think we are the captive in the chair, Ren is the judge, the voice of consciousness. When he gives the captive eyes so they (we) can see, he realizes that he now also sees them (us) and that judgement is just further hypocrisy. So he martyrs himself, a sacrifice, yes a demonstration like the Buddhist monk.
The ending is: Point the mirror at ourselves, we're all part of this all money game

My interpretation, and I've just come to this after seeing so many reactions and hearing other people's input.... is that Ren is the voice of reason, the guitarist is the greed that thinks it's invisible, and the drawing of the eyes is for the "greed" or "greedy" to see what they are doing to the world...wants "greed" to see him burn under the weight of it. "OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES AND SEE WHAT CHAOS YOU BRING" kinda thing... hence the harsh movements and the "beating" that he gives during the drawing of the eyes and why he pours the oil and "lights" himself.
In an interview Ren referred to the whole suit the guitarist is wearing as a hostage suit. We are all hostages to money.
As Uncle A mentioned a Bob Marley tone...Ren was in a band called 'The Big Push'.On their channel there is a vid of them busking live to 'I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop' There are a few vids with the title so if you do check it out it's the one where Ren has Red Braces on,AMAZING performance by him and the band

Ren in mask is the everyman or everywoman. Basically, the average everyday person stuck in the money game--with NO EYES--not comprehending the fundamental nature of the game. Ren singing is 'in the know', he understands how money works and is in control of others with the power of money. Now Ren draws eyes on the bagged Ren to symbolize an awakening to the realities of the money game; bagged Ren can see his lot in life inside the money game. Ren, who is in control, wants to burn down the system. He attempts to pour gasoline in the money game (symbolism). Bagged Ren realizes the threat and fights back against the system to his limited extent. Power Ren then realizes he is the problem with the system and decides to then take his own life via the most well known form of protest, self immolation. With all that said, there is a stark similarity with Money Game 3 when you think about it.
Ren the intelligent rapper. His lyrics tell you that . He does not waste a line, so talented.
