    I don't think people understand whoever wins the case will get a significant and inherent advantage. The winner can claim royalties, ads, credit, etc. They may also be able to dictate who can/cannot make it.
    However, the court may rule that it has been over X years, and therefore, the butter chicken can be made by anyone with no royalties paid. But the number of ads, promotions, and fee they can charge, franchisees they can open boasting about their invention (that others are copying) will make them super rich and famous overnight.
    It is tricky. This case will be just another 'who invented it first' - and such cases are common across the globe. This case got the hype because almost any non-veg would know about this dish globally.
    So - tell me, why are people making a mockery of it? If I invented something, and someone else took the credit, I will go to court, too!

    • @kevingupta7091
      @kevingupta7091 4 месяца назад

      @@Sn28septSounds good. Your education comes across really well. Do you have any idea about how inventions work? How are they registered? If there is ever a dispute how they get resolved and what the consequences are?
      If person A invented something, and A finds you copying it without their written authorisation then you will be liable to pay A royalties, or almost anything A wants from your earnings (or damages).
      Just simply how inventions and rights work.
      Problem with most Indians is they have degrees but continue to be unemployable because you fail to understand simple logic.
      If any tom dick and harry (like you) started legally copying others inventions, then there wouldn't be any person inventing because they get no benefit from putting the hard work.
      Just because in India you can do it and get away from it due to hardly any legal enforcements/consequences doesn't mean it is right.
      Also - I am not claiming who invented butter chicken The comment was about how inventions and claims/rights work.

    I learned the skill of preparing butter chicken from my mother. According to my grandmother, this recipe, albeit with minor alterations, has been a part of our family heritage since the 1930s. Personally, I find my version of butter chicken superior to that of Moti Mahal's. Several years ago, while I was studying in New York, my friends, who hailed from Europe, the United States, and South America, were particularly fond of it, drawn to its distinctive aroma. It is noteworthy that many such recipes, including the one I utilize, predate those used in restaurants.

It is as simple as pakistan’s claim for kashmir is the same claim of daryaganj .
