I loved DMC 2 it was great i studied into it along with all the games of the OG series and what must people don't realize is this: DMC 2 Dante represents a much older, mature, wiser, and serious dante although he is still caring as we could tell near the end with his interaction lucia along with DMC 2 taking on a much darker turn where humanity seems to know of the demons existence to the fullest now and are trying to fight back against what threatens their very existence, what proves this well the boss battle you have with a tank and military class helicopter that had been possessed by demons proves it not only that everywhere you went in the game looked like a giant battle ground where war went on so obviously mankind is now at war with demon kind but are losing obviously and then you have some like arius who want the demonic power to become ruler of demon kind. Now if you look at DMC 2 dante you can tell he is much older than his dmc 3 1 and 4 self in every way including personality and not only that look at him in DMC 4 especially facial features if you pay close attention you can see he is starting to develop his DMC 2 look and not only that look at DMC 4's story it even shows within that game that mankind is starting to become aware of demon kind's existence some though religion and some not so much but hands on experience now look at the story through Lucia's eyes in DMC 2 and listen to this review of her story and the story in whole of DMC 2 and tell me if you think this is a coincidence cuz i dont think so: Play called Lucia's story "a cruel sonnet of self-realization wrapped in a steeped in religious overtones" again coincidence, I don't think so because look at DMC 4 it was also very much steeped in religious overtones in fact it starts and ends off pretty religious basically and not only that dante's character is also much older, mature and wiser although he retains his personality from 3 and 1 in DMC 4. So this only goes to back up my proof more. When DMC 5 comes out I think were gonna get a slightly darker story in this new game while still having the same dante we all know love from the OG series. But I feel like as a whole the games ar gonna get darker from 5 on and will eventually lead up to DMC 2 because lets face it DMC 2 has left us all with questions. How did this war get started and when did humanity become fully aware of the demons existence , where is mundus we thought he was the true ruler of hell and all the demons until argosax showed up and we see it's the one who seems to be leading the demons and the actual true ruler, whose arius and how did he come to being and get the power he was looking for. I feel like we will have all these questions answered in the newer games especially about mundus and argosax, was mundus nothing more but a mere puppet to argosax we don't know so I feel like these two will play a much more significant role in the series, while arius is a maybehe seems to represent the humans who want the demonic power so they can rule the human and demon realm so we may get a peak at him and all his delusions. We already know the reasons for that so called "pope" as people like to call hom and his actions but he was a one time thing, we already knew a little about mundus and that sparda had defied him and that mundus plans did not change whatsoever ad hat he was still alive after DMC 1 so does Dante officially kill him at some point we don't know, we know nothing about argosax except that it rules over demons and is the one leading them in this war but was defeated and killed and we know basically nothing about arius. So again what happened to mundusdid dante kill him, who was argosax was he mundus's master, and so forth. Again I state we will probably have these questions answered in the newer games along with seeing mundus and argosax more within the series as well (i feel like it's a major possibility seeing as how they are the strongest) seeing arius agai seems more like an eh type of possibility but who knows. I also feel like were gonna see trish, lady, and nero start playing more significant roles to within the newer games and withing this fight to protect mankind so I can't wait honestly. So my thoughts we are going to see how dante became who he was in DMC 2 and what leads up the events of the game since timeline wise it is supposedly tha\e last game but these newer games are going to give us those answers hopefully and we'll see how this battle got started and so forth so the game itself is gonna get darker within the series and were gonna see what lead dante to becoming the silent bada** in DMC 2 we all came to know. I also feel like were gonna see dante to change slowly at some point to when the OG series continues again. But until then I can't wait for DMC 5
But here's a question: Why'd they make that the second game ? In DMC4 where he was in his 40s he was hilarious and there isn't much connection between this game and the series 1 has Nelo Angelo and mundus, 3 is his origin story, 4 has Trish and lady plus Nero (Vergil's son) but this game has dante at a completely random point in his story with no connection (Besides dante) to the series i had fun with this game but i don't think the story is any good
Actually DMC2 has a novel. It states that Dante was sent into an alternate universe where he was forced to kill both clones of Trish and Nelo Angelo. Seeing you killing your brother and someone who looks like your mother would probably do something to your psyche.
Badass one liner and most memorable... To any of us that played the game. Also, just want to point out... Dante... In DMC2... Cannot... Taunt... Or provoke... What-so-ever! I mean, c'mon... In DMC1, Dante can taunt or at least provoke in one or two animation, doesn't need to say anything provocative is fine and i much prefer it. When Dante got a debut in SMT: Nocturne, he have a "Provoke" skill that are simple, but satisfying to do. I cannot complain why he have it there and couldn't, which would be great in his own game (DMC2), because Nocturne came after DMC2. "Sorry... Nitpik and out of topic/context."
This scene looks like it would be straight out of a parody and it’s funny as hell, but also a badass line. Guess there’s some good things about the worst dmc.
I hope they will make DMC5 a game centered about Dante why he became so serious....I see Nero being consumed by Vergil and other series of misfortunes like death of Trish and Lady thus fixing the absence of all of them in DMC2...it would be great if DMC5 would be a realy dark game if you know what I mean

GOAT KINO SWAG RAW
The sudden change of voicing acting on the main villain
I swear he went through puberty around here
0:16 Dante hearing Griffith/Femto's prattle and his dream of being a king
this was a real Dante moment!
if this game had a remake it would be so insane
I agree, I think capcom should add more weapons and the enemies actually try to attack you, rather than enemies move slower than redeads from legend of zelda.
Good things that came out of this game (my opinion) : Dante look,This scene, Majin trigger
dante is such a bad ass in this game!
The Bizarro Freddie Mercury.
i swear its like dmc 1 dante came out for this one second
It's like the Dante from DMC1 showed up to deliver this one line.
"Dante shoots mexican heihachi in the face"
He was going to the kEEEEEng of this world
The hate for DMC2 is probably overrated. I don't know, DMC2 Dante is really awesome. It's the gameplay that pulled it down...
Dante had golden lines. Honestly, from a dialogue perspective, he just needed more lines to work with to really bring out his "done with this shit" attitude in this game. Missed potential, honestly.
DMC2GOAT SHALL CHANGE THAT
@@JuriSins THANK YOU FOR SPREADING THE WORD, BROTHER. DMC2 GOATED!!!
@@PaniPancakes Kino!!!
@@JuriSins ohh man... Imagine a full-blooded remake of DMC2... Now that would rule better than Arius.... And it would fill our dark sou... Well, now I am not joking. This game deserves the second chance, it just didn't had enough development time and it was desperatelly rushed, do you agree with me guys?
Griffith in a nutshell
Its so hilarious that you kinda feel sorry for Arius when hes whining. I mean he just wanted to be the "Keeeeeeeeeng of this wooorld!" Lol
This was probably the only joy that playing DMC2 brought me.
0:01 oohh...! No... My dream... My life...
0:09 i was going to be the king of this world...!
0:15 "king"? Yeah, here's your crown 👑
Atrius sounding like Griffith lol
Literally the coolest one liner I've ever heard.
Badass one liner
This scene is more accurate to Dante's character than all of the DMC reboot
0:14 King..???...yeah eat this?!!
I'm glad you're still responding to comments
I try to, not all of them but sometimes there's one I want to comment on :)
this was the one scene that made the game almost worth it
Moral of the cutscene: Dante is so badass and old than any piece of shit with the same shitty plan of "I want the power of Sparda or any other powerful dude" appears he will kill him like he's buying the bread
the dialog from the gods
Honestly dmc2 is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. No it's not the best out of the series but I can at least appreciate that A. Dante despite being mute is still Dante. B.The devil trigger mixed with the different amulets is cool, this line is classic. And argosax is a great finally Boss.
WE WUZ KANGS AND SHIEEEET!
fun fact: dante really roast arius with a blow
Huh
BEST PART EVER
the voice acting for the villain is very immaculate
Can't wait for this moment to be recreated in the dmc animated series
What the hell happened to Arius's voice actor at the start he was an evil and sinister but composed villain then towards the end of the game he switches into a maniacal crazy mental Japanese villain who becomes corrupt with zero power and words like KEEEEEENG! coming out of his mouth and there's me laughing my ass of when Dante shoots him through a wall and dies
Yeah, he reminds me of a weaker Zant.
a spec of coolness blew into dantes nose and he momentarily reverted to dmc1 dante
Certified Leon Moment.
Okay, that was awesome.
Line hit Arius so hard he got yeeted through the wall
5 people didn't become kings of this world.
I loved DMC 2 it was great i studied into it along with all the games of the OG series and what must people don't realize is this:
DMC 2 Dante represents a much older, mature, wiser, and serious dante although he is still caring as we could tell near the end with his interaction lucia along with DMC 2 taking on a much darker turn where humanity seems to know of the demons existence to the fullest now and are trying to fight back against what threatens their very existence, what proves this well the boss battle you have with a tank and military class helicopter that had been possessed by demons proves it not only that everywhere you went in the game looked like a giant battle ground where war went on so obviously mankind is now at war with demon kind but are losing obviously and then you have some like arius who want the demonic power to become ruler of demon kind. Now if you look at DMC 2 dante you can tell he is much older than his dmc 3 1 and 4 self in every way including personality and not only that look at him in DMC 4 especially facial features if you pay close attention you can see he is starting to develop his DMC 2 look and not only that look at DMC 4's story it even shows within that game that mankind is starting to become aware of demon kind's existence some though religion and some not so much but hands on experience now look at the story through Lucia's eyes in DMC 2 and listen to this review of her story and the story in whole of DMC 2 and tell me if you think this is a coincidence cuz i dont think so:
Play called Lucia's story "a cruel sonnet of self-realization wrapped in a steeped in religious overtones" again coincidence, I don't think so because look at DMC 4 it was also very much steeped in religious overtones in fact it starts and ends off pretty religious basically and not only that dante's character is also much older, mature and wiser although he retains his personality from 3 and 1 in DMC 4.
In DMC4 where he was in his 40s he was hilarious and there isn't much connection between this game and the series 1 has Nelo Angelo and mundus, 3 is his origin story, 4 has Trish and lady plus Nero (Vergil's son) but this game has dante at a completely random point in his story with no connection (Besides dante) to the series i had fun with this game but i don't think the story is any good
Argosax has connection with Sparda.
LightningAnime maybe something happened between DMC4 and DMC2?
DMC5 Trailer came out. So that may have some answers.
Actually DMC2 has a novel. It states that Dante was sent into an alternate universe where he was forced to kill both clones of Trish and Nelo Angelo. Seeing you killing your brother and someone who looks like your mother would probably do something to your psyche.
Does Arius remind anyone else of Heihachi???
KEENG OF THIS WORLD
Badass one liner and most memorable...
Though DMC2 may be fuckin garbo, this line is one of the best in the series
despite this games...history...this is one of Dante's cooler lines and it easily stood out from his other 4 1/2 lines in this game
The coolest thing Dante has ever done.
And it's from the one game in the franchise nobody likes.
I like this game
@@user-ni2td6fb5l i enjoy it a bit too, but everyone else hates it
With a voice like that, he's gotta be evil...
third favorite moment in the series
best moment in 2
when bad assery reaches a certain level
THE KEEEEEEEENG
Bro they even show how fckin op ebony and Ivory in this game from cutscenes
0:01 to 0:08 WHEN I DONT WIN THE MEGA MILLIONS LOTTERY
This scene looks like it would be straight out of a parody and it’s funny as hell, but also a badass line. Guess there’s some good things about the worst dmc.
*Best DMC
Cope and seethe DMC 3 purist.
@@throwfascistsintopits3062 uh, my favorite game is DMC5.
the soundtrack that plays during this is incredible what the fuck, everybody overlooks this game dammit
I always come back to this video and I grin at the fact this had the gall to be in Devil May Cry 2. T'is a pity.
I hope they will make DMC5 a game centered about Dante why he became so serious....I see Nero being consumed by Vergil and other series of misfortunes like death of Trish and Lady thus fixing the absence of all of them in DMC2...it would be great if DMC5 would be a realy dark game if you know what I mean
love how the music just stops
