Ah...you need to put huge asterisks next to the "politics" hobby being attractive to women. It's only attractive to women if you have political views they actually AGREE WITH.
For many so called "modern" women it's an automatic deal-breaker if you have state political beliefs they disagree with (even if you just put "liberal" or "conservative") on a dating profile. They don't care how smart, educated, well researched you are about the topic either. Most of these modern women have extremely narrow tunnel vision that "if you aren't for us you are against us" mentality too.
