Josie, the beautiful roses and gift that arrived from Chloe are a true testament to your high-quality vlogs and your business ethics. The company that did not honour your commitment is the one who experienced a great loss. In addition, don’t worry about not doing daily vlogs, it’s quality over quantity.
Josie, having been self-employed for ages, the first rule is to get EVERYTHING in writing. End every project conversation with “Please confirm the (updated) parameters in an email so I can sign off on our verbal agreement!” Or better yet, “I’ll send you a summary of the (updated) parameters, please sign off so I may proceed. I’ll await your confirmation”. The second version keeps the ball in your court, as they may dilly-dally and leave you with even less time for needed pre-pro. Documenting everything keeps everyone accountable, because these things often have changes, as well as you are less likely to get taken advantage of and left without pay for your time and efforts. I’m so sorry they didn’t keep their end of the deal. That is always disappointing!
Often I’ve found many “rushed and last minute” projects end badly. Sadly, it is some client’s modus operandi and a way for them to get things done at a cut rate... due to the “he-said-she-said aspect” and no one taking the time to get things in writing. I’ve learned I can be a bit choosier and decide to not work for those types of clients that tend to be unreliable or purposefully vague... or those that take forever to pay. Eventually they run out of people willing to work with them until they straighten up and conduct themselves more professionally! Sadly, lesson learned the very painful way. But GORGEOUS flowers, lovely fragrance and cute bag! So there’s that! You always find the positive! Bravo!
EEN63 I agree, last minute rushed clients are the worst, in any profession, not just for bloggers. I learnt to avoid such clients in my DJ profession, because they didn't tell their guests about their party last minute, why would they tell me on the day or the day before instead of at least a week in advance? Take care as sometimes when such clients are in a hurry, they may have low or no budget and inconvenience someone. Very sorry about that Josie, I hope they know to do better and respect your time and professionalism.

Oh thank you for not doing those daily vlogmas vlogs. Everyone does those & it’s overwhelming. I don’t have time to watch it all so I just ignore almost all of the “Vlogmas” flood even if I love that channel normally. I’m pretty busy enjoying my own life and family at this very busy time of year.
A reusable gift wrap is pretty cotton prints sewn into sacks with ribbon ties or just plain large squares cut with pinking shears & tied with ribbon.
It’s fun to choose prints and ribbons that coordinate with your Christmas decor.

Dear lovely Josie. So kind and thoughtfull. I am so angry they cheated you out. Perhaps from now on, get it in writing, even if in email, and with words " For your and mine clarity, this is what you asked me to do, this is what we agreed, please sign the attached contract, to avoid yoirs and mine time wasted..." or something in that line of writing. Companies know how to pit vlogers up against each other to get what they want, I reckon. Am sure you know this, but thought to support you via this comment. Xx

Having to fight to get paid for work done is awful! I also do freelance work, and sometimes trying to get paid is like squeezing water out of a stone.
laulutar I have seen my sister go through this so many times :/ what is wrong with big companies and their unwillingness to pay for work that’s been done? 🤷🏻♀️ Especially when the one they have hired is a freelancer or a small company.. just don’t get the mentality 🤔

Yes, don't give him too much of a hard time. He ended up saying he 'failed' which seems a bit harsh. What a sweet thing he did for you. Also, individual gestures are not unimportant, but ultimately as Charlie said, 'plastic is everywhere' and that's because change on a much bigger level is what's needed.

I love the little (mini) Chloe shoulder bag. I think it completely silly to have a handbag for one's sunglasses ONLY; IMPRACTICAL!! (Who's idea?) Do you carry it banging into your regular sized handbag? Or put it INSIDE your handbag? Please, Chloe, explain this!! I would use it as a mini bag when jumping out the door for a quick errand.

Check out the Chi volcanic spin n curl rotating curler. I own the pink one. I couldn’t figure out the curl direction with other devices. This one has two buttons you push one for one way and one for the other and because of the way it’s enclosed you don’t have to worry about burning your face or your hand.I don’t use any product and my curls last for days with this particular curler. I highly recommend it ❤️

Hi Josie, great vlog as always, but I've noticed lately that when you put up vlog/video that has you telling us about a product, you haven't put that it's an ad or a paid promotion.
I thought that You Tubers now had to include AD or Paid Promotion within the title and/or within the video at the point when you're talking about the product in their videos nowadays, I may be wrong though, it's just that I have notice other vloggers I watch have the ad in both the title and the video, just wondering why yours doesn't? I know, you've put AD in the description though, please excuse my ignorance if that's the right word, on this matter, and putting in the description is infact what you're meant to do.
Looking forward to your New York vlogs though, I'd love to go there, so I love watching people's videos and see the fun they get up to especially this time of year, I'm sure you'll have an amazing time.

I would also like to know the name of the company SO AS NOT TO SUPPORT people who diddle their employees! (If they've done it to YOU, they've done it to others!). Just letting you know, a big home influencer I follow has just got into quite a lot of trouble for not clearly mentioning 'AD' on her igtv videos and videos so just thought I'd let you know there's no AD on the screen when you're talking about skillshare 🙈 (Not that I'm personally bothered!) I know it's in the description box but the girl I watch now has to put it big and bold on the screen for basically ANYTHING (if a gifted item is in the background even) sounds ridiculous I know but don't want you getting into any trouble Josie 😘 I notice Freddy always puts AD on her videos when she's doing sponsored content too! This lady I follow never tries to conceal her sponsored content but got a big telling off from someone (I guess the ASA?) last week because her 'AD' wasn't on the screen as well as the description box and video title which I think is a bit OTT to be honest. Anyway, thought I'd pass it along incase you weren't aware! ❤️
When in doubt, better disclose more than less. Make it visible. Be completely transparent. It won't hurt you and will make you look even more trustworthy. Just my opinion

Hi Josie, Charlie is so sweet doing that for you. What a great idea to give you a treat everyday. I have an idea. Rather than give up the sweets, you could contact the company and ask it to eliminate plastic packaging. it's win, win!! I love the concept of sustainable gift wrapping. You could buy some fabric and that can be that person's Christmas wrapping from now on. They return it to you each year and you wrap their presents in it, with a ribbon. Tea towels or scarves also make great wrapping. Or you could make them a fabric bag with Christmas themes. I would love to see what you come up with. The more we share ideas about these tricky areas, the more we learn. I love your channel, how you keep learning and growing is inspirational.

Apparently I'm blind, I was about to say I didn't see the skill share link in the description box, then realized it's the first link you have on there 🤦🏻♀️ Sorry to hear that you had such an awful experience with the one company ☹ I know first hand what it feels like to be "screwed over" by a company (not as an influencer, but in my job as a dietitian). There was one resident at my last job that was on tube feed and after a month or so of being on the same formula randomly started dropping weight like crazy and myself and the management team found out what was happening. Then the state surveyors (the regulatory agency for nursing homes) came in and my management basically told me that I had to take the blame for her weight loss, even though I had nothing to do with it, as it was better for one person to "go down" then to tell them the truth about what was happening and I almost lost my license that day for no other reason than the fact that I wasn't allowed to "blame another department," even though it was their fault. But long story short, unfortunately any job you have no matter the field there will be times that people try to "screw you over."

Please don't get ill but look after your health. Your normal video upload schedule is just fine. Black Friday was a special occasion but now that it is over, it is totally fine to go back to normal.
And I think it's okay to be annoyed when people (or a brand) suddenly don't keep their word. You talk with them, what they want, how it is going to be done, do your job, spend time on the task and then they change their minds. No one likes futile work - I'm annoyed too when it happens at work. Just not neccessary. You can't get a good feeling out of pointlessness - but out of a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
Have fun in New York on the weekend - and tomorrow on the ice (if I remember correctly).

So I avoid any sort of negativity in comments but I wanted to comment on Charlie's eyebrows...my immediate and impulsive reaction when you panned over to him during your advent calendar section was that they are plucked too far over between his eyes....my 16 year old son has fabulous eyebrows and I remind him everytime he gets a haircut to not let them touch his eyebrows...they always want to "clean them up"

I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate all what you do to put out all the awesome content,but at the same time I was saddened to hear how hard you work that you became ill. That is not what any of us want, I know I am speaking for others,but I assume they feel the same as I do.

Please don’t be offended by what I’m about to say but ... when you and Freddy were making fun of your mode of transportation, especially since the person bicycling was right there, you could be misconstrued by someone who normally does not watch your videos.
