Also while I can't tell from this angle, I think you may be pinching when playing those double stroke rolls. That's why the second bounce is different than the first one.
I'm a freshmen aswell but I play trumpet in the marching band. I'm trying indoor percussion this winter though and I'm hoping to get a start in percussion.

I'm a snare in drumline so hearing pads being played is really relaxing for some reason now
