LOL, I just love that! There are about 8 or more compilation videos on YT of all the reactors they could find going into shock when Morissette goes from the run right into that whistle run, so funny! Then she belts out that set of runs that's so long, without a breath. Wow! People have said she forgets she needs to breath to sing like that. I'd almost believe she has no other internal organs but a huge pair of lungs, but she also has a huge heart, too. Oh, and she loves to eat food as she travels, we've seen so many pictures... Well, anyway, it was a dumb analogy, but you get what I mean. Breath control for days.

Gitana dear, the way to pronounce the name of the song is "Ah-keen Kah Nah Lah-ng". I suspect though, you might have already figured that out upon listening and hearing it in the chorus. 😏 I also was gobsmacked the first time I heard it. This is now amongst my all time favorite songs ever.

I like her far more than Dimash. Dimash is inhumanly good, and literally nobody else on the planet has his range. But Morrisette, with a range almost as inhuman, has a lot more warmth and emotiveness than Dimash. His performances are the most impressive party trick in the universe. Hers are things of beauty. That doesn't mean her versions are ALWAYS the best, she's just got a really great average (and her low bar is better than most of the planet). For example, I think her impressive cover of She Used To Be Mine is a hair under Sara Bareilles, because as emotive as Morrisette is, she's too young to have ideal understanding of such a painful song. But really, for most songs she has the ideal balance of technique and emotion.
Nobody could have said it any better. It is nice to be able appreciate the real world without dimash-tinted glasses. I would disagree about the pain part tho, as she has definitely shown extreme pain and sadness in a personal interview which led to an emotional cancellation of her part on a gig. As inhumanly amazing as she is- she also feels pain like the rest of us.

LOL, I just love that! There are about 8 or more compilation videos on YT of all the reactors they could find going into shock when Morissette goes from the run right into that whistle run, so funny! Then she belts out that set of runs that's so long, without a breath. Wow! People have said she forgets she needs to breath to sing like that. I like her far more than Dimash. Dimash is inhumanly good, and literally nobody else on the planet has his range. But Morrisette, with a range almost as inhuman, has a lot more warmth and emotiveness than Dimash. His performances are the most impressive party trick in the universe. Hers are things of beauty.
That doesn't mean her versions are ALWAYS the best, she's just got a really great average (and her low bar is better than most of the planet). For example, I think her impressive cover of She Used To Be Mine is a hair under Sara Bareilles, because as emotive as Morrisette is, she's too young to have ideal understanding of such a painful song.
But really, for most songs she has the ideal balance of technique and emotion.

Nobody could have said it any better. It is nice to be able appreciate the real world without dimash-tinted glasses.
I would disagree about the pain part tho, as she has definitely shown extreme pain and sadness in a personal interview which led to an emotional cancellation of her part on a gig. As inhumanly amazing as she is- she also feels pain like the rest of us.
