I’m the opposite of your young hip evo - subi northwestern type audience, and I’m here. Love the content. You get it done. and your camera / production stuff is very well done and your ‘Merch ambition ‘ is admirable
Love that you doing all your own work and not paying a bunch of other people to do it. Cant wait to see tomorrow's vid of the completion and hopefully the reasoning of why the 8's rear bumper fell off. Haha
Great vid mate, also if in doubt, an oil analysis would have revealed the bearings were toast with the copper content in the oil being higher. You were going to swap them out regardless so it doesnt matter. Thanks for the vid.
Hello, very good friend, the video. I want to ask you a technical question. a month ago I bought a M3 E92 manual transmission year 2009 it has a slight vibration when I accelerate it stopped in neutral between 1200 and 1500 RPM. It feels like the engine is out of balance, is that normal? do you know what the problem would be?
Robert Haslip, I was thinking the same thing. One time I received a set of bearings for a SBF I was rebuilding, and one pair of rod bearings were boxed incorrectly. Had I not checked the clearances and caught it, I would have spun a bearing with the quickness. 🤦🏻♂️
@@joeb9793 Ive always used platigauge to verify oil clearance for that very reason. I have zero experience with the BMW platform so maybe there is something i don't know. Although i'm guessing if the crank and rods aren't damaged standard sizes will work but i wouldn't rest easy till I verified.
BRO WE NEEED MORE CAMO BEANIES!!!! I tried to grab one so bad 🤣🤣 and I swear I’d buy one of every merch I just need one size bigger dawg fuhk with meh long time supporter !!
It honestly varies the e9x motor is very unpredictable some people have to change them any where from 20k miles to 75k miles. It just depends. But the aftermarket bearings you can buy make the bearing replacement last longer than factory
Bro devin you should sell your products on the apps for uae 🇦🇪 people like noon.com /desert cart because it’s easy for us to buy from these apps online
Was a massive issue for many years simply unacceptable on an M car sorry like the issues with Vanos, SMG transmission failures for ten years and rear frame cracking on E46 M3s. Later BMWs even worse.

I enjoy watching you do mechanic work. I’ve learned a lot from this channel.
Love that you doing all your own work and not paying a bunch of other people to do it.

Good call on replacing the bearings!👍
Devin you deserve a million subs

Gonna cop a Hoodie, 3 Long sleeves, a short sleeve and a hat when pay day comes around, keep a lookout for the order 🙏🏻🤣
I am loving these m3 vids.
Hard life those bearings have had. Great choice to spend the day replacing them 👍
The bumper at the end of the video. XD
lol remember that evo motor build when you lubed the back of the bearings
Classic rookie move
The better it is lubed the better you drive, even if it isnt helpful :'D
Skills bro! You are killing it. Keep it up.
Good preventative maintenance. Those bearings looked worn. Saved yourself $9K. Well done.
I love when i get a box in a bag!
Can’t wait to get my order 🔥🔥
When y’all get married all fans should be welcome to come do burn outs ❤️
I would be down but i need to build my car. Would take devins help. Id just be sure not spill my drink. Lol

Keep up the good work Devin ! Your killing it !!! 💯
So you’ve installed greater clearance rod bearings and left main bearings stock size?
What can go wrong?
If the those engines have rod bearing probs den u should look about upgrading your oil pump. Dont u think?🤔
Merch looking nice dropped more into that than last time😂
Do you not clearance check the bearings before final install?
Robert Haslip, I was thinking the same thing. One time I received a set of bearings for a SBF I was rebuilding, and one pair of rod bearings were boxed incorrectly. Had I not checked the clearances and caught it, I would have spun a bearing with the quickness. 🤦🏻♂️

What you did to the evo 8
Oh thee ol' ECS boxes. I know those all too well...owning a passat W8
Love the videos!!, u make everything look too easy and I’m surprised you don’t use all data, just look it up on forums lol
Yup best to get it out of the way now an knowing your a good owner who will let their car warm up before ripping on it. Enjoy her
Do I have an m3? No
Do I want one? Not particularly
Do I still watch this video? Of course, Devin makes everything way to entertaining not to.
hey man how many miles on that engine
i think he said like 120k when he bought it for his birthday
BRO WE NEEED MORE CAMO
BEANIES!!!! I tried to grab one so bad 🤣🤣 and I swear I’d buy one of every merch I just need one size bigger dawg fuhk with meh long time supporter !!
Where links to bearings?
I was waiting for the video
How come you didn’t need to measure clearances? Or did you?
littletopher Smith, I was just gonna ask why he didn’t measure the bearing clearances. 🤷🏻♂️
@@joeb9793 he's not keeping it for long.. it's gonna be bobbi's car.. and we know she can't keep a car for more than a few months.. haha
Stupid thing to ask. What if u don’t out that red stuff on there. What would it do? I’m learning about this stuff.
Hy plz how much need ft .lbs
Just a heads up you should never ever set fractured rod caps on the fractured side down like that!
Did you polish the rod journals ?
Bearing clearance check? Did I miss it?
B P, I was just going to ask the same thing. 🤷🏻♂️
That was very smart to do bro
Yea it was good call to replace those.
Nice work! Thnx for video)
Coffee cup cheers had me rolling
The v8 in the e92/e93 is a race motor, so the rod bearing "issue" isnt really an issue, just a wear-able item like tires and brakes
On an M car sorry unacceptable
Great video man
Dang bro glad to see the top engine brace working out.. can’t even shout me out for recommending it tho 🤔
Stfu POG.
need help with my 2002 Subaru impreza wrx😔wont run and wont accelerates please help and that would be appropriate
Check your MAF, plugs, coil packs, O2 sensor, fuel pump, injectors and compression
Man, what did you do to the bumper?😄
Have a Vasyn unboxing knife... 👍
ohh wow! Glad you received your package from ECS, they sucks lately and package never arrived!!!
My exact thought when I saw the box 😂😂😂 “he ordered them 2 months ago”
I seen the box and ran to the comments right away to recommend fcp instead of ecs lol
1:53 drinking coffee through a straw?!
What is Vasyn?
excellent BMV
Loctited - adjective. Usage : having had Loctite before. 🤓
Next time check out fcp euro for your euro parts. They offer lifetime warranty on basically everything they sell. ECS is awful.
What happened on that bumper? lol
That rear bumper snow shovel lmaoo
Someone tell him the horrors of ECS please!!!!!
im sure he already has seen many things on it
lol

I think this is the first time I’ve seen you not wear gloves! lol #manhands
On how many miles do Rod bearings change?
It honestly varies the e9x motor is very unpredictable some people have to change them any where from 20k miles to 75k miles. It just depends. But the aftermarket bearings you can buy make the bearing replacement last longer than factory
Good job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤙🏻
Love this m3 badddd💖💓😙😙
Looking good brother!
Well I mean you look ok but the car, looks good brother.

Shoulda done headers while you had it all apart

Those steps are an accident waiting to happen. I say get some more angle on it and make shelf space under it or a storage area.
Like. with love from Iran
Let's get rid of the brz already! We need to see an evo 5 or 6 on the channel!😃😆
Come on bro take it easy on the 8 she maybe built but she's old to lol!

Are those bearings made out of Swiss cheese? Decent engine bearings should out last the car 🤬
Was a massive issue for many years simply unacceptable on an M car sorry like the issues with Vanos, SMG transmission failures for ten years and rear frame cracking on E46 M3s. Later BMWs even worse.
Dude you need to get a better knife for opening them boxes.
