Sims is so chaotic when you're first learning how to play haha. I always would just pull houses from the gallery and change the decor to what I wanted, that way someone else could figure out the layout, sizing, roofing, etc. and I could just play with the decor LOL
It's so fun watching you play!! Would 100% watch you build houses or play with your sim and have them get married, have kids, etc.
Also! If you're needing ideas on what type of things to do in the game, there are tons of "challenges" that people have created that make it kinda fun! For instance, there is a rags to riches challenge where you start your sim off broke and then try to earn money in order to build a house, etc.
You can also just play and try to reach your aspirations/goals, advance in a career, etc. Anything would be fun to see!
The bar that shows up over Chip when you hover over him is your sim's relationship with him, not how happy he is :) You can see if Chip's happy over at the his portrait at the lower left corner, if the background is green then he's happy!
You should get the The Sims 4 Dream Home Decorator and renovate other Sims Houses

Hi Mia! I’m loving see you play the sims 4. When you were trying to place the circle mirror in the centre of the doors and it didn’t let you, a tip is to hold down the alt key on your keyboard. This will let you place the mirror wherever you want as long as you have the “bb.moveobjects on” cheat turned on. And this works for every item including windows and doors. Hope this helped!
Your current house has no roof, so I think you should rebuild it! And I love the pet content!
Press F5, it lets you place items on quarter tiles! Also if you hold down Alt you can place items more precisely. :)
Hi Mia, I would suggest just downloading a cute house off the gallery and decorating the inside to your taste, it's much easier that way for a beginner and then you can focus more on the gameplay aspect

I LOVE these episodes and would enjoy seeing all the content-relationships, having a family, house building/decorating, getting a career, exploring the map, etc!
My favorite part IS the house building though so I’d love to see a more in-depth video of you starting over and building with your new expansion packs and your better understanding of everything!

The house and a wee garden for chip 👏 maybe like a wee cottage if it’s just you living there. Get some bendy stairs up to a cute wee bedroom.
Also in future episodes there’s a pack called dream home decorator and your sim has a job of decorating rooms of other sims. I played it and it was the best thing ever

You can find some really cool empty houses on the gallery and then decorate them from there! It'd be cool to see you build another one too though
Mia do what I do, I look for a picture or a video of a sims house that I like and I try to recreate it 😅 and then I decorate it my way, and is soo fun! And you can steel ideas from other houses. And don’t be shy to do a longer video. I was kinda wanting to watch more 🥺
As someone that uses native deodorant regularly I must say, it is so good. The scent isn't overpowering, I use the coconut and vanilla scent, and it's creamy. Unlike a hard dusty deodorant, it applies like butter. I haven't felt it dry down, for me it stays creamy all day, yet it isn't uncomfortable and you can barely feel it. Lasts all day and even after rough shifts at a fast food restaurant I still smell like a model in Brazil.

Some shortcuts for you that I regularly use especially in designing builds:
1. Press Alt then left click on the item you want to drag to a certain position. It lets you position it without regard for the grid lines as well as ensure things are symmetrical. Like with that circular mirror in between two doors, you can use Alt + left click on them to position them properly. I'd suggest turning on Grid (press G to toggle) so you have a guide on how far apart they are from the wall or the items on each side.
2. Use cheats to ensure your objects aren't restricted to the grid.
- Ctrl + Shift + C
- type testingcheats true
- type bb.moveobjects on
- if you want to turn it off, type bb.moveobjects
3. Your bed glitching may be a cause of overlapping items, check if there's nothing in that area.
4. From Live Mode, press F2 for Build/Buy Mode. From Build/Buy Mode, press F1 to go back to Live Mode or F5 to Manage Worlds (you can opt to 'save and go to manage worlds' or 'just go to manage worlds'.
5. In Build/Buy Mode, press Shift + [ to make an object smaller and Shift + ] to make an object bigger. I'm sure you know this as I've seen you do this already (the plants). Note that some objects, especially those Sims can interact with, will glitch and either cause your game screen to have a glitching situation (like with the bed) or just have the error chat bubble above their head saying they can't get to the place you're specifying.
6. in Build/Buy Mode, press B to build walls. Press E to copy paste an item, wallpaper, flooring, etc. Press R to change color swatches (doesn't apply to wallpaper, flooring, walls, rooms). Press T to toggle top view. Press G to toggle grid. Press Y to move and rotate the whole build, instead of moving and rotating each room by itself. Press K to use the sledgehammer and instantly delete an item (you can undo this. Note that if you went from Live Mode to Build/Buy Mode and you used the sledgehammer, it usually means to delete the item and not selling it, so you don't get the amount you paid for in buying that item (at least it's this way for me).
7. In Live Mode, press G to go to Aspirations panel. Press J to go to Career panel. Press L to go to Skills panel. Press U to go to Organizations/Clubs panel. Press I for inventory. Press O to go to Needs panel. Press Esc will lead you to game options, which are the ellipses at the top right of the window. Press ` or P will pause your game. Press 1 to play on normal speed, 2 to play on x2 speed, 3 to play on x3 speed. Press Shift + mouse scroll up or down to significantly zoom in/out. Press C to capture screenshot. Press V to capture screen record.
8. Initially, I saw you typing motherlode many times, you can just type "money 1000000" without the quotation marks and it will give you the set amount you give, not as an additional but X value will be the value your household funds will show. so if you have 500 already and want to add a million, type "money 1000500". Make sure you've done #2.

You should check out James turners build tutorials! He has great explanations for roofs, layouts and all the different tools in an easy to understand format. My 60 yr old mother just got into the sims, I’ve been playing for almost a decade, she watched these and now can build better than me!!

You should let your subs build a house for you and you can pick one! Or have them build rooms and you can pick a few different ones to put together. :)

Building! I think you are suited to it, you love decorating so it's a great way to continue to learn the game. I think you should bulldoze and start again. Also there are a ton of building tutorials for sims 4 on youtube and I think you could draw inspo from those, and see how some of the creators approach their builds.

i think you should get dream home decorator & cottage living, and maybe you can get a pre-built home but buy it unfurnished! i think you'd enjoy that more so you don't have pressure of building and designing the home. also, i swore i saw it said that chip was a "she" when there was a pop up about being jumpy. not 100% sure about that, though! this was fun and i hope you will make more sims content and enjoy the game.
