- This was a half hour show series Huell did during his WSM-TV days back in Nashville in the early 70s. In it he usually highlighted interesting and obscure places and people... and this episode is no exception.
A philosopher once wrote a great man is someone who doesn't remind us of anyone else, Huell was that man. From here on out in California, we miss you Huell!
Awesome I'm in! I only know huell from ca gold. Used to watch it with my pops in my teen years.
He is Always So Gracious. Miss u Huell.
Holy cow! Thank you so much for posting these, subbed!
Fantastic!
I remember when Huel Houser worked for WSMV. Everyone in middle Tennessee loved him. WSMV suspended him for trying to cover a story that one of the sponsors didn't want covered. While Huel was on suspension, he got a better job offer.
Boy have times changed... Older man giving kids candy and being nice to them. Now it would just be nefarious. Thanks Huell for showing me a side of life almost 50 years ago.
Amazing!
What a treasure! What a treat!
OMG, these videos are wonderful, I had no idea they even existed , but what's up with Huell and old ladies?

the first time i remember him was from entertainment tonight.
The first time I saw him I was flipping through the channels and thought, hey that looks familiar, he was at Broguiere's Dairy, I grew up in Montebello and remember the field of cows in the 70s.... He had me hooked and his style made me a fan for life.
RIP HUELL!
In the 1960s the town of Sunland California was full of small electric cars.
Mrs. Lyle was way, way ahead of her time.

He yelled at me in 1993 at the re-opening of the LA Central Library. A very angry man under the chagrin of the caricature he made on tape.
well what did you do wrong then?
@@davidsquall351 I would not move out of the way so when Luis stopped the camera he BELLOWED "GET OUTTA MY SHOT" horrible angry man. This occurred at the Central Library re-opening in 1993 right before the re-take of the Harp Lady segment but was edited out of the finished show.
Because I am sure you have never yelled at someone when you might have gotten frustrated.
@rtd1409 why wouldn't you move out of the way?
They're all fake ! Andy Griffith was a jerk too IRL
One of the most underestimated bullshitters. Amazing.
