One of the most interesting things about aesthetics and design, is the infinite number of shapes, that we can combine.
And the beautiful Moto Guzzi in this video, can help us to learn, that sometimes we need other "ingredients" to appreciate new shapes/designs.
This Moto Guzzi Lemans 1000 was built in Portugal, by Pedro and Daniel, Owners of Ton-Up Garage.
The Rider's suit it´s design by Ton-up Garage and produced by WLROD.

A great piece of engineering and design from our Portugal. First thing standing out: the hole in the seat, which I see as a way to diminish the coccyx pain :). Above all, this bike is extremelly "feminine". A Diva, proudly ridden.

Hoje nem falarei do que achei a moto que não precisa de palavras. Proporção Divina é o que define os teus vídeos. Fico ouvindo e ao mesmo tempo vendo a moto. A proporção de encanto no ouvido e nos olhos misturadas ao cérebro geram aquela faísca divina. Se eu tivesse uma medalha ou troféu daria a vcs. Só posso dar um like e um mais no Google. Sintam-se premiados ou nós. E como sempre: Até semana que vem.

Neat. It's a very "bug-like" build. The headlights look like a dragonfly's eyes, and the seat cushion looks like a grub worm... or like a queen bee's butt. :D

That helmet is art
Como sempre um vídeo perfeito, mas isso também já não é novidade e depois se a mota não tivesse aqueles faróis (formato) horríveis (minha opinião e cada um tem a sua) e abanar a parte da frente da carroçaria (pelo menos foi o que me pareceu nos primeiros minutos) era mais um projeto lindo.
Só tenho a dizer que continue assim porque este canal é perfeito, simplesmente perfeito, para quem gosta de motas cafe racer.
Sim, também notei que a carnagem treme mais do que devia. Costumo dizer que existe uma boa explicação para tudo, e sinceramente acho que este poderá ser o caso. Como na maioria das Cafe Racers, a ideia principal é torná-la o mais leve possível, daí que a estrutura de suporte da carnagem tenha seguido este princípio. Provavelmente terá ocorrido algum imprevisto com a aplicação dos faróis, obrigando a fixa-los na carnagem e não no quadro. Mas lá está, estou só a divagar no campo das hipóteses, mas que me parecem ser perfeitamente plausíveis. Mas obrigado por partilhar a sua opinião e simpáticas palavras. :) Um abraço.

Acho-a original, diferente (mas perfeita), e mais, adoro a pintura... Sem dúvida, é talvez a abordagem mais interessante k já vi a uma guzzi, gosto do estilo...

I like the package cutout in the seat. That way you don't squash your man bits when riding it.

I don't know the costume but you should check out a website called Silodrome. You can find all that retro-style stuff over there.

Almost everything in this motorcycle is beautiful, the color, the triple lines that seems to flow from the emblem, the fairing simply looks fabulous. But something that just I do not like it, are the twin headlights. Looks weird or at least out of place. Would not it have been better only one? left aside and not necessarily at the center of the fairing? Well that’s my humble opinion. Perhaps as you say, I have to let time help me to assimilate and fully appreciate a new design. To see the full picture of the reasons, that led to take certain decisions in the design. But it's certainly a beautiful bike!

But as far as i know, they were installed like in the endurance racers of the 70's.
Just like you, i also thought a little strange in the beginning, but after awhile, i began to like them, especially because it's not an obvious choice.

Tens aqui videos muito fixes. Olha sabes alguma coisa sobre a legislação de cafe racers em Portugal? É que eu estava interessado em construir uma, mas tenho duvidas quanto a sua legalidade, não sei que tipo de modificações são possiveis de fazer mantendo a moto legal, tens alguma dica?

A questão da legalidade será sempre algo difícil de compatibilizar com as cafe racers.
Tudo depende também to tipo de projecto Café Racer que se pretende.
Sinceramente, acredito que se uma mota cafe racer tiver todos os farois, espelhos, piscas, guarda lamas, e um escape que não seja livre, não vejo quaisquer razões para haver problemas quer com a policia quer nas Futuras inspecções periódicas.
E esta ultima será também a grande questão. Acho que é perfeitamente possível passar 1 cafe racer na inspecção, mas na maioria dos casos, será necessário alterar pelo menos os escapes e guarda-lamas espelho. Por isso é que recomendo sempre guardar as peças originais da mota, e utilizá-las só para passar na inspecção, ou para uma futura reconstrução para o estado original.
Penso que ainda não saiu o regulamento para as inspecções, mas se for semelhante ao das inspecções dos automóveis, a coisa não é assim tão difícil como a maioria das pessoas pensam. Temos que lembrar que uma inspecção periódica obrigatória, tem como objectivo verificar apenas os pontos base de segurança, tais como pneus,travões luzes, suspensão, gases de escape. Tudo o que for acima disso, já está enquadrado na homologação dos veículos, ou seja, só numa inspecção 'B' é que poderão eventualmente "pegar" pela falta da "originalidade" dos veículos. Mas mesmo assim, não acredito que os inspectores tenham acesso a esse tipo de informações detalhadas, muito menos quando se trata de motas mais antigas. De qualquer forma, não vejo razões para preocupação, já que só temos de garantir que a mota tem o mínimo de condições para passar na inspecção periódica, ou seja, pneus,travões, luzes, suspensão, e gases/ruído de escape. Abraço.
+RACER TV muito obrigado pela resposta. Compreendo que as luzes, travões e o escape são essenciais e provavelmente é onde ele conseguem arranjar problema. Mas se estivermos a falar de modificações mais estéticas por exemplo as manetes, farol, ou o banco ou mesmo o deposito em princípio não há problema em fazer alterações? E quanto ao garfo e amortecedores? É comum alterar o garfo por um de uma mota mais desportiva para dar aquele look mais baixo e agressivo, qual é a sua opinião acerca de modificações deste género cá em Portugal? Abraço

Pois, tal como referi, esse é o tipo de modificações que as Inspecções Periódicas não vão poder fazer nada, já que se trata de questões relacionadas com a homolgação da mota, e não com os items de segurança normalmente exigidos por lei. Ou seja, o objectivo das futuras Inspecções obrigatórias, é apenas de verificar o funcionamento da mota, e não saber se os faróis, amortecedores e etc, serão os originais ou não.
O único senão, seria ser apanhado na estrada por um agente Policial mal disposto, e que apreendesse os documentos da moto, devolvendo-os só após uma inspecção do Tipo B para verificação da originalidade da moto.
No entanto, eu próprio já fui parado a circular com a minha Honda Cb 125 B6 por um Agente da GNR, e não tive qualquer problema. Quando se trata de motos mais antigas, ninguém é capaz de dizer se está original, ou se será uma versão especial duma moto dos anos 70. Esta é mais uma grande vantagem de fazer uma cafe racer apartir duma moto antiga. Abraço.

Gran video amigo! no estoy de acuerdo com el análisis de la Proporción Divina, la lámpara deberia estar incluida en el largo total. por otro lado, el carenado y las luces no estan sujetas a la moto, se aprecia que en movimiento se mueven havia arriba y abajo.... gran música, excelente imagen y compaginado. muchas gracias por tan buen video.

I fell in love with the Le Mans back in 1977.The (Mk 1) Le Mans was so close to perfect; it just needed a few details sorting.. switchgear, swop front brakes to behind fork legs, a "Comfy" seat and it was the best bike in the world. for just over £2,000
This monstrosity doesn`t come close... sorry.
The MkII put the calipers behind the forks, and the seat although similar, was actually much more comfortable. The fairing on the MkII, although not as pleasing on the eye as the original, but does actually work. I have the MkII, it cost an extra £100 but now the original is worth 40 -50% more.

head lights are wrong , seat cowl is all wrong. it only needs these couple of alterations to make it a beautiful bike.

Realmente os faróis da frente exigem alguma habituação. A inspiração original veio das motas de corrida de longa duração dos anos 70, onde eram aplicados este género de faróis para a noite. Mas obrigado por partilhar a sua opinião. :) Um abraço.
Por isso foi usado o termo "time factor", de cara achamos estranho, mas depois de um tempo vamos nos acostumando e entendendo o projeto. Eu adorei.

As i said in the video, some motorcycles were excluded from this election, due to the very low number of visualizations of the main video. Unfortunately, this bike is one of those.

By the way this moto guzzi Le Mans 1000 was NOT build in Portugal by Ton up garage owners; this Moto Guzzi Le Mans 1000 was built at Mandello del Lario (Italy) in the Moto Guzzi Factory and modifyed by Ton up garage owners many years later, the truth has to be said!

Therefore, when i say that this moto guzzi Lemans 1000 was built by Ton-up garage, i'm obviously referring to the project of modification. Cheers

bad english accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that
i like for my videos. I already tried a real american voice in one of
my videos, but things didn't worked as i expected. Curiously, the
robotic voice sounds very good for all non english natives. Cheers.

Ora se estranha no inicio, ora depois se aceita e até se acha engraçado. Única nota menos boa no final é o facto de vibrarem imenso pelo que se vê. Se realmente se andar com a mota de noite, deve meter alguma impressão o foco vibrar tanto.
Realmente parecem vibrar um pouco. Mas tudo indica que os faróis foram instalados de forma a ser removidos em situações de corrida. Mas mesmo assim, também me parece que o problema poderá estar nos suportes da carnagem e não tanto dos faróis. Mas obrigado por partilhar a sua opinião. :) Um abraço.
