- Sound quality is poor. If you are a child of the 70s, this The Price Is Right showcase music should bring back great memories of Bob Barker & Barker's beauties Dian, Holly & Janice. Please leave a comment.

Bless those unfortunate souls belonging to top winners who passed the first showcase only to hear this.
Thank you for your humorous comment. Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel.
EVERY SINGLE ONE of those TPIR cues was an absolute BOP!🔥🔥💯💯
Thank you for your comment & thanks for visiting my RUclips channel 🎵
And remember it's not just Splendid, it's Splendido! Back to you, Bob.
This tune brings back memories.
It brings back memories for me, too. Thank you for commenting. Thanks for visiting my RUclips channel.
Reminds me of being home sick from school and watching the Price is Right with Bob Barker 1/2 asleep on the couch.
Me too Scott, I remember when I was sick and had to miss school, I'd lay on the couch in the living room and watch The Price is Right when Bob was still hosting, that would brighten up my day just to see Bob and his beauties, which they REALLY were, but the show has changed a lot since Bob retired and they hired Drew Carey as host, in my opinion, Drew Carey was a HORRIBLE choice for the new host for The Price is Right, and the "current" set is TOTAL GARBAGE, and so is the big wheel, and I DO NOT approve of the makeover of some of the pricing games, like Bullseye, Card Game, Most Expensive, and The Bargain Game, which used to be Barker's Bargain Bar, to me, that game is STILL Barker's Bargain Bar, wonder if they'll change the name of that game back to Barker's Bargain Bar after Bob passes away and keep the name of that pricing game Barker's Bargain Bar permanently? Also, the theme is STILL TOTAL GARBAGE AS WELL, they SHOULD HAVE KEPT THE ORIGINAL THEME, and they SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE SET ALONE, AS IT WAS when Bob hosted the show, bet if they had hired somebody else other than Drew Carey, they wouldn't have changed ANYTHING, set, theme music, or made over any of the pricing games, I don't even watch The Price is Right anymore because Drew Carey is a TOTAL JOKE as host of The Price is Right
You mean being home fake sick?! LOL
Ditto that I have been watching it when I was sick at home from school and that all my mom would watched till the soaps come on.
@@saints093 I TOTALLY agree with you! Not even worth watching anymore now with Drew as host! And George trying LAMELY and UNSUCCESFULLY.......to copy the legendary late Rod Roddy in fashion?! Puh-Lease!!!!!!!
LoL... Hilarious !!! Me TOO!! Sick, Home, 70’s !!! didn’t fake it til the third and fourth day though 🤧
Heck I watched the show in the 90s and they still used this theme then. Love it.
Awesome! Thank you for your comment. Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel 🎵
This music makes me think of bob barker
And Tom Kennedy!
Johnny: "Your showcase begins with this living room set!"
Contestant, to self: (The second I heard this music, I swear...)
Thank you for your amusing comment. Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel.
"Nothing but furniture! " This is one of my most favorite TPIR theme songs! This instantly takes me back to my childhood.
Every time they play it I said must be furniture probably a dinette set
Even When they show the furniture in the showcase I just wanna dance to this beat
Same here.... on vacation with grandparents, or other days off from school.
Memories yes
Well sometimes the furniture showcases ended with nice trips
Brings back great memories, summer vacation hanging out with Bob,he will be truly missed 😢
@@lorennicholls5901 This music does indeed bring great memories. I, too, miss Mr Bob Barker. Thanks for your nice comment.
I honestly thought I was the only one "weird" enough to like and remember music scores from TPIR-LOL!!! Glad to see I'm in such great company! Hearing these TPIR music scores takes me back to a much happier time and reminds me of how much fun TPIR was back in the day. Thanks SOOOO MUCH for the great memories.!!!!
tpir music rules bring it back
I LOVE the music from this era of T.P.I.R. [Best era ever]!! It brings back great childhood memories for me too! Watched this show almost every morning growing up in the early 90s! Glad to see others here who remember and love these cues! Couldn't agree more with your comment!
I agree with you 100%.
best song ever! I still don't understand why they don't play stuff like this on the radio
Exactly! Something to initiate a sense of fantasy and whimsy, something to make us dream.
Well HEY I.M HIP TO THAT!! I REALLY AM BUT I.M GUESSING ALTHOUGH I COULD BE WRONG IT,S PROBABLY ABOUT COPYRIGHTS & MAYBE SOMETHING TO DO WITH HOW OLD THE MUSIC IS ETC...I REMEMBER BACK IN THE DAY WHEN THEY WOULD SHOW A NEW CAR!!--THEY WOULD PLAY THE OLD FAMILY FEUD THEME(1976-85 RICHARD DAWSON ERA)BEFORE DURING & SOMETIMES AFTER FEUD,S RUN.
If you ever hear this music for your showcase, get ready to PASS IT.
I'll pass it to you!!
LOL
Except this isn't always the case. Sometimes "A NEW CAR!" or vacation is thrown in at the end of a showcase that starts with furniture and uses this cue. I've also heard The Big Banana and Starcrossed used for furniture showcases as well.
+Toms Friend Kake yeah really " fuck this I don't,t want that crap I will pass it to the chump runner up "
unless it's the last one, then pray for a dsw
This was actually my favorite music cue. I loved this song and I always looked forward to it....but yeah, I do remember the slight look of disappointment on people's face when this song started.
This music takes us back to a "splendid" time in our lives for most of us.
Who agrees with me when I say they NEED to bring back these classic music cues on The Price Is Right? These music cues are CLASSIC and SHOULD NOT have been discarded like they were
I definitely agree.
Same thing with the Wheel of Fortune music cues.
Exactly, they also need to bring back the monitor of and the Contestants Not Appearing On Stage segment and music cue...Not TPIR without any of it.
It is all about the money. The rights have likely expired and Fremantle doesn't want to pay.
My childhood summers......I grew up in the 80s/90s but they still had this music around with Bob.
RIP Bob Barker
😢😢 that so sad i hope they will play that music at his Funeral or as a tribute at the Price is right show
I have only great memories of Mr Bob Barker.
Thank you for your comment. Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel.
I want all classic cues from THE PRICE IS RIGHT THE BOB BARKER ERA TO BE REMEMBERED IN MEMORY OF BOB BARKER 12-12-1923-8-26-2023!!
I will remember Mr Bob Barker with great memories. Also, an entire collection of classic cues from The Price Is Right would be awesome.
Thank you for your comment. Thanks for visiting my RUclips channel.
the soundtrack for staying home from school
Actually… ruclips.net/video/m3PmuFRl9GU/видео.html
Rip Bob. Thanks for the memories of me staying home from school as little girl. I like these cues over the ones that Drew has.
I, too, remember staying home from school & watching The Price Is Right.
Thank you for your nice comment. Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel.
@@BBRealityTV07 you are welcome 😊
This has always been one of my favorite cues, along with the Match Game/Hollywood Squares theme they used for cars here and there.
Definitely a favorite of mine, too. 🎵
It's more like...a living room set, a dining room set, and a bedroom set, and it's ALL YOURS, if The Price is Right!
"Splendido!" ROCKS!!!
Joey Kardos oh yeah it does
I Love This Music 🎵❤
Facts spoken. The music is amazing, though 9 times out of 10 the showcase was bunk 😂
Also served as the Theme of "PASSWORD PLUS" 1979 to 1982
@@32rodrick No, it didn't.
Occasionally known as "Nothing But Furniture". The main hook in the melody can be sung to, "Oh no / Nothing but furniture / Sectional furniture / Stainmaster carpet, too". The whacka chicka beat is mighty tasty.
LOL!!
Whenever I watch The Price is Right in the showcase segment, both new and old, I always tell the one who passes their showcase that they're going to get Splendidoed.
That's very funny.
You know that happens to be Theme of PASSWORD PLUS 1979 - 1982
@@32rodrick Wrong theme, fella. Whole different tempo and vibe
They should bring this music back to the price is right!
I agree they should bring back this music. Thank you for your comment. Thanks for visiting my RUclips channel.
My fav tune from the entire game show! 🙏🏼
At :17 I can instantly see those stage doors open to a new living room set!
This showcase begins with a brand-new living room
*groans*
This is a JAM
I remember this when I was a kid in the late 90's and early 2000's. It's a shame they don't use this music anymore
SpyroPS1iscool yeah I know I remember the song way back in the 90s
Al Sky Allen Me too!! I remember watching the show with my grandmother and as a kid thinking this show has some unique music.
This song 🔥🔥🔥 for real! Been looking for this for years
I recommend you listen to the 1974 cues.
This cue told me...TPIR was almost over for the day...get ready for the news, soaps, and see the rest of the day go quickly
Yep. That's about it too.
“Family Feud” was usually next on my station. After the big switch in 1994, our CBS affiliate didn’t have local news. But at 12:30, the soaps would begin.
I remember this "Nothing But Furniture" song quite well. Also, when I played the original Sonic the Hedgehog, the Starlight Zone seemed, at the very least, inspired by this.
Have you seen the patch for Sonic 1 that replaces the music with TPIR music?
@@bunnybismuth I saw it on RUclips, was surprised that this tune was NOT used for Starlight Zone, instead, they used that un-named piece of music (can't find its name anywhere) often used for Take Two, The Race Game, and Buy or Sell. Actually, this wasn't anywhere in the game.
this song is magic
ilovetortillas This cue is simply FABULOUS!!!
Wow! No joke, my childhood just had an EARGASM!!!
i want this played at my funeral as they bring my coffin down the aisle
WhatInTheHellO in a Broyhill casket?
if not broyhill then michael c fina
I know right!!!!
One of the funniest comments I've read on youtube!
Oh God, I love it.
Followed right by Monty Python’s it’s Christmas in Heaven.
I grew up hearing the classics prize cues on the Price is right have watched it my whole life still miss Bob Barker hosting Price is right and these old prize cues I am 43 years old.
🎶You're stuck with furniture, tan Broyhill furniture...🎵
Thank you for your humorous comment. Very funny!
Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel.
Your showcase starts with this beautiful.... GRANDFATHER CLOCK!
Edd Kalehoff--best composer ever!!!
I used to hum this then one day work after 7 years of searching and finally listening pass the first 10 seconds...MY CHILDHOOD IN THE 90S CAME RUSHING BACK
Thanks for your great comment. Thanks for listening.
@@BBRealityTV07 you bringing me life im listening and working now
I was on college radio in the early 00s, and used to read the live bands playing in town. Once I thought it would be funny to use Splendido for the 'showcase of live music in the Saint Cloud area'..... I even had canned clapping edited in between venues! I was told my management "that was funny. DON'T DO IT AGAIN."
Management can be lame.
If it was possible, I would take a time machine trip back to 1978, ask Holly on a date and go dancing together to this.
Or the 1980's...
Dian
My favorite of all the TPIR songs
It is definitely a classic.
Thanks for your comment. Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel.
I miss my nana😭😭😭😞😢
Memorable!
Lots of memories for me, too 😀
CHRIST do I remember this tune. A lot of times in the 70s when this tune was played for a showcase the camera would show two of the three doors and all you saw was the lights blinking around the doors and the lights were out on purpose.
Ah, yes, the "Trip Down Main Street" showcase! Loved those :)
This is the one I remember the most.
"This showcase can be yours if The Price Is Right!"
"Splendido!" Not only the (in)famous "Nothing but Furniture" showcase cue from TPIR, but was also a cue for the Double Play bonus round on the Jack Narz version of Concentration (which Johnny Olson was also announcer).
There is a 1978 episode on here posted using this but I'm guessing they started that in the final year.
That's right there's a couple late '77 episodes posted by Wink Martindale
Technically that happens to be the Theme of PASSWORD PLUS 1979 - 1982
@@32rodrick wrong, as usual.
Right. Some of the background cues in Bob's version were excellent. I hated the fact when some other cues reitred
Takes me back to the carefree days of youth.
If you ever got this music on the show.. hope that you have the chance to pass it otherwise you are screwed!
Johnny Olsen: After getting to know your furniture, how about an exciting vacation to Paris! (Janice at the turntable) We'll fly two of you roundtrip from Los Angeles to Paris for a 6 night stay at the Le Mount Hotel in Downtown Paris overlooking the Effeil Tower and close to charming shops & museums. But don't unpack those bags, its off to Australia! (Dian is on the otherside of the turntable) From Paris, its on to Sydney for 6 nights at the Marriot Sydney overlooking the Harbor. And this showcase can be yours if The Price is Right!
The dreaded "Splendido!" music! A bidder's worst nightmare!
Nice colors.
really! the horror! what we need to do is hope for a dsw
+Lee “BigMac12121983” McDonald Unless you're the first bidder when this happens, then you can screw your opponent!
That also Happens to be The Theme of PASSWORD PLUS (1979 - 1982) as well
@@32rodrick No it isn't.
They also used this as a prize cue on Concentration with Jack Narz, also another Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Game Show.
I've been looking for this forever....just brings me back to.the 90s
The 90's?
@@dirtyoldman7356 im 30 and they used to play this so it brings me back to that time
@@dirtyoldman7356 Yep, a lot of these classic music cues were used during the 90s and up to 2007, with some new stuff mixed in. I was a kid back in the 90s (knocking on 37 this year), so I can vouch for Eric's comment
@@hoodmistressreloaded Well I remember it back 40+ years!
That's about how long my crush on Holly has been too.
Ah, nuts! Now I gotta go hunt down CDs and/or MP3s of these tunes!
Damn. This brings back memories. I watched Price is Right mostly in the late 80's and 90s but, they still maintained this music.
Great arrangements. I love this type of stuff! People look at me weird for driving around in the car with this stuff instead of the dumbed down music of today. I listen for beauty in arrangements and don't listen to the latest hits to be cool like the others that go for the peer pressure stuff.
+Luis Donado I play this while driving too, lol. Some great stuff going on with the bass.
Great to know that others like you know what I mean!
I'll be driving to this too!
Are you kidding me?!! I've blasted the TPIR theme maaaaaaany times in the car. Sounds good coming out of a seven speaker Bose stereo too!!
Dude, Yes!! I totally agreee! The music cues from this era of T.P.I.R. were absolute genius!! I still LOVE listening to them today. Great times; great memories!
this is pretty much the swankest song in the history of game shows
I remember this cue 👍
Thanks for listening.
"Your showcase begins with this new bedroom ensemble"
One of my favorite Price Is Right songs.
My favorite cue from TPIR! It jams!
RIP to Ms. Wilson, who owned one of the BEST convenience stores back growing up in the 80's/90's! "The Price is Right" was one of her favorite shows, and listening to this showcase music (also one of my fav. tunes from the show besides the intro theme) brings back instant memories of her and I start reminiscing...and THANKS for the upload! ;-)
My absolute favorite TPIR theme song!!! Thanks so much for posting!!!
Furniture music!!!!!
You forgot Kathleen, Nikki, Claudia, and Heather who also should be in that list of beauties. I had memories of them while listening to this music today!
There was that one time it started out as an all furniture showcase with this theme, then BAM! The last prize shown in that showcase was a Cadillac.
I love this song! It is indeed one of my favorite times! I wish I had the nerve to play it in my car, Windows down on full blast!
*this music plays*
TPIR Contestant: Noooooooo!
PASS!!
Dennis Taylor & this music plays: LOL... The Rodney Dangerfield of the Showcases!
LOL! Nothing but furniture!
Price is Right Announcer: Lindsay, your showcase is all about relaxation. and what better place to relax than in your brand-new hammock? This sturdy and portable hammock from Swingway turns any patio into a tropical paradise. And you can entertain yourself on your patio by drawing with chalk! Yes, Pratt and Millwood eight-color pastel chalk will turn your patio into a tropical art studio. But you'll have to pack your chalk because you'll be staying six days and seven nights at your parent's house in Wilmington, Delaware!
Lindsay: I moved my abortion for this?
How will I get this home????
.... And this splendid showcase can be yours! If the price is right!
That's right! 😀
Thank you for your comment. Thank you for visiting my RUclips channel.
This was always my fav track, amazing to hear it full instrumental again. thx for posting it.
It doesn't get any more 70s than this!
@Nate Powaley: That's awesome! I was totally thinking the same thing in Rod Roddy's voice while listening to this. Good stuff.
+1 retzuzan Thanks.
I THINK ALL THE CLASSIC TPIR MUSIC CUES SHOULD BE RENAMED BOB,S THEMES AFTER BOB BARKER 12-12-1923-8-26-2023 AS WELL AS THE MAIN THEME OF TPIR!!
bravo for the lyrics. really, spot on.
For me this is jet-setting the Globe with Showcase Holly... lifestyles of the rich and famous with new adventures popping up around every corner...
I have been trying to find this for years! Thanks!
this song brings back memories for me! yes, I was a child from the 70s. thank you very much for posting it.
Totally agree!! Though I was a child from the early 90s, this music was still around then! Great memories!
Yeah I think they should bring it back to the price is right
They should being back updated versions of all the classic cues 🎵
Thanks for your comment & thanks for visiting my RUclips channel.
This cue reminds me of the summer romance you might have had when you were teenager or in college! You can be 50 or 60 years old and enjoy others but your heart and soul always come back here!
This cue reminds me more of being sick from school and watching the poor contestant needing to bid on an all furniture showcase
This is probaby my all time favorite TPIR music. Goddamn, the memories.....and it really was nothing but furniture hahaha
I remember as a kid loving this song but knowing you should pass!!! Lol! Thanks for posting! I’m glad I’m not the only weirdo who loves hearing this stuff.
Edd Kalehoff is a genius! Listen to that Moog!
Thank you so much for posting this awesome Splendido! The Price Is Right Showcase Cue! I love it! This is my all-time favorite Showcase Cue. It brings back many fond memories of my childhood during my summertime school breaks, when my late Grandmother from my Dad's side used to watch The Price Is Right on TV every morning, hosted by Bob Barker.
My favorite too!
me, too...
Thank you everyone for your terrific comments. I am so glad I could share the great memories with all of you. Love & music.
"Your showcase begins with a Trip Around the World..."
One of my favorite game show disco jingles if you know what I mean, from the 1970’s.
Good old times. Seeing and listening to this feels like time traveling back to the past.
Phil and Keely unlove showcase music 1976
Remember, folks: This is outright disco. You have to listen to the drums to figure it out.
A literal ton of furniture showcases had this song. The ones I hated, though, were the ones who already won a car and passed the first showcase on the assumption there would be ANOTHER CAR. I was happy when this song came up and Nothing But Furniture came up for them.
DISCO! TPIR Style BABY!
It was retired in 2007 after Bob Barker left The Price Is Right
You get.... nothing but furniture... you're not getting a car...and possibly a trip...
You get... nothing but furniture....that is what's here for you.... Michael C. Fina tooooo!!!....
Thank you for your hilarious comment. Thanks for visiting my RUclips channel.
I really wish I could find a high fedelity even a good copy from the master tape of this song, it's one of my favorite songs ever, I often would watch the Price is Right just to listen to this toon, just a fantastic arrangement.
This is one of my favorites as well!!! It brings so many memories of me watching this show with my grandma!!
This is the Best Version I've found so far enjoy.....................ruclips.net/video/lxTBOzD1O3I/видео.html
