The original console versions were actually based on 1.1. This is why they advertised Ocram as a final boss; at the time, it was still just the 3 mechanical bosses in Hardmode. This is also why you use the mechanical boss summoning items to craft the Suspicious-Looking Skull, and why Ocram drops Souls of Blight, _and_ why all of the console-exclusive endgame equipment required Hallowed equipment to craft them. Back then, _all_ of the exclusive equipment was a straight-up recolor too, but they all got unique textures when 1.2 was released. EDIT: It's also why you have to use the _original_ Hardmode ore armors to make the Ocram armors; they simply forgot to change it. Additionally, these weren't the only things Terraria Legacy offered on release. The most notable extra content was a tutorial, achievements (which the main game didn't get until 1.3), and a _way_ more simple multiplayer system via the console's built-in online services. Steam invites weren't added to Terraria until _1.3._ And for a kid who didn't know what an IP address was and only had one computer in the house, that Xbox 360 is your only bet for playing multiplayer, be it with friends or family.
@@ShardonOk No problem. So more often than not you'd contact the shadiest kid in your school to hook you up with a pair and now you have infinite flight.
I played the 1.1 Legacy, which is by far even worse because of Vile Spit spreading Corruption, the crafting for Hallowed Armor and the bombs thrown by clowns during a Blood Moon.
@@taylor3661 honestly I still think it spreads it even to this day and it’s the one reason I onky play crimson I just don’t want to remember those days when a spitter misses and goes flying across the whole just to hit and corrupt the whole jungle within 2 hours
I actually started playing terraria on a shitty little phone, like it was an 8-bit brick of digi-shit and i loved it. The corruption bug traumatised me as a kid, I had a world i spent so much time in and one day i opened it to every single block being dirt, not a single block of air or anything, 100% dirt, but what upset me more was the map hadn't updated, so i dug my way to where my various bases were, only for the map to update more and more showing endless dirt... I still have war flashbacks to that day
yep had the exact same bug, along with this I even played so much longer after this to have another world corrupted in a different way, where all of the chests just became unopenable despite the prompt being there to open them. This chest bug may even have happened to me on 2 main worlds LMAO. Console had some nightmare bugs.
I had this happen on my first world, where the temple arena made the golem fight impossible to win, then, the giant dirt wall came and made me make a new world and made me realise that golem was an actual thing. So it was a blessing in disguise really
Same thing happened to my brother and I! Only half of my world was dirt, but I couldn't interact with anything I had placed down prior. Chests, safes, etc. The NPCs that managed to survive couldn't even be prompted to speak. :(
oh shit i remeber the random dragon helmet overworld chest... my brother stole mine and then the day later it got fucking patched... i was not a happy camper lol
About that corruption bug. The autosave feature also would randomly corrupt the world. Happened to me twice. Turned autosave off and it never happened again.
i have fond memories of playing terraria legacy as a elementary school kid. while i didnt get introduced to it then, it has my favorite memories of terraria. this summer me and my cousin decided to play it while i was visiting and, well, lets just say i was disillusioned to the nostalgia. it wasnt bad by any means, but, the QoL stuff that existed in recent updates is just to much to overlook. one thing i loved though was the inventory. *chef's kiss* perfection!
The corruption bug actually occured to me in the wii u when I played with my brother, it was devastating but we made another world and we have it to this day
Hello! Former victim of the corruption bug! I don't ever recall turning off my Xbox during saving but it definitely could've happened, what I do recall is 80% of the world being filled with dirt blocks, top to bottom, all the way to around the dungeon, I still miss my towering NPC village to this day
Ocram is technicaly refferenced in the current versions. In the Get Fixed Boi seed there is an item called "Ocram's Razor" which is used to summon the man made crime aginst the gods Mechdusa, who is the 3 mechanical bossed duct taped together. To craft it, you need to combine the 3 mech boss summoning items.
Arch Wyverns, Arch Demons, Dragon Hornets, and Dragon Skulls feel like they'd be good additions to expert and master mode. It's a shame they weren't kept.
I remember my first memory that i have of Terraria is me playing the Legacy Edition on a friends console. And right at the start of the game spawning Lepus, which we did not have the adequate gear to fight. It was not despawning, quite the contrary it spawned 7 Eggs which all hatched the Boss another seven times. They didn’t despawn even after we reloaded the world. And just like that the world was ruined. Good Memories!
That happened to me but on the 3ds version. I was so pissed because there was nothing I could do to kill it and it kept making more and my world was ruined
Feel like ocram fits into the corruption more than eater of worlds. Just looks like he belongs in that environment as it's boss more than eater of worlds.
I thought I was insane when I remembered souls of blight. And, after porting my stuff over years ago I was so pissed to see my OP armor get turned into VANITY SETS
I am won of the world corruption survivers I had my first world ever that I had played on for about 2 years and completed everything at that point I had ocram trophies and masks countless eriplacible 1.2 exclusives and my world was lost I did create a new work in 1.3 and continued forward tho I have Lost it led me into a new begging and I have fallen even more in love with this game
I did as well. Honestly it wasn't too bad but this video is more about the comparison between this version and 1.3. Also the fact that it is $10 more than. The PC version
i played an immense amount of terraria ps3 and to this day emulate it on my laptop because it to this day is the best terraria controller experience i've had
As much as the legacy version does kinda suck, it was the first version I ever played on my Kindle fire in middle school. I remember collecting all the pets like the guinea pig and werewolf, and not knowing how to get my world into hardmode because for some reason it never occured to me to use the wiki. And I remember playing the tutorial world for the first time, and when it became night being so scared that the demon eyes were going to kill me. And things that broke progression, like arch demons spawning in hell pre-hardmode and dropping crystal shards. I'll always have nostalgia for that version even if it is bad
I don't think the corruption bug is really the games fault and more the humans fault because most games advise you to not turn you console/pc off when something is saving as it all causes corruptions to the save data, its not specifically just to terraria.
I had the old version on my tablet when i was like 10 and all i remember is i loved the breathing reed and I thought the eater of worlds was the final boss so I tried to kill the wall of flesh with an enchanted sword.
i liked the easter bunny. it was a pretty fun boss that dropped nice early game boots which increased your jump height. the egg mechanic was pretty annoying though )
It’s crazy to think I spent hours as a kid farming a nazar for an ankh shield back on my old Xbox 360. And now I’m a grown ass dude farming blood orbs to make potions for Calamity
I first played the 3DS port, the most limited port of the game, and still had a lot of fun (put in around 200 hours). It's a game where the basic concept is fun even with limited content but once you pile on all the content added so far it becomes one of the greatest games ever made no question
Yep, makes sense. Good effort and scripting. And while it was rather the tutorial than the legacy version, I still get huge levels of nostaligia from playing it because it had what is now the morning rain theme and I absolutely loved the vibe so much.
I remember the 3ds version. I lost my character to turning it off while it was saving, even though it says not to.(It was taking a long time) and I think I still had my worlds, but my best loot was gone. And I never spawned ocram because I was too scared I couldn’t beat it. 400 hours
The corruption bug happened to me… twice. It happened when I played on my own world, played on another person’s world, and then went back to my world. My world data would be replaced by the map data from the other world. The only remains of my world were replaced by the places I had explored in the other world, with all the chests inaccessible for some reason. Everything else was deleted.
man, kids play this game (even if it says dont close your game as it's saving) kids dont know better and especially if somebody tells them to close the game they are probably gonna make the mistake of closing their console as it was saving
I never experienced the corruption bug, BUT once 1.3 came out to console I got this really strange bug on my legacy world where parts of the world textures would just continuously overlay on top of each other and also crash at certain areas of the world. It was definitely heart breaking for me.
The reason why so many sprites, functions, and recipes for the new content was so unoriginal is because, most likely, the devs working on the port had limited experience with Terraria's engine. I faced a similar problem when modding cortex command, I'd copy the code of Coalition Light and change some values, re-path some of the sprites to what I made, etc. and boom, new Actor I can use. It was probably the same for the developers who were porting Terraria. As for 11:49, thats just not how it works legally. If I get a job at Company A, and Company A is hired to help code for Company B, depending on the contract, Company A owns nothing that they create, since it was made under contract specifically for Company B.
I remember having terraria on one of the old gen consoles because my older brother bought it and when we bought the ps4 version, i constantly complained about the arch wyvern being gone 😭
Ocram looks like a perfect prehard mode boss he could have been an alternate of queen bee instead of giant hives it could have been giant spider dens but he also has alternate attacks. Like 3650 base hp 8 Defense his attacks would be laying eggs which would hatch into spiders if not killed he can also temporarily walk on the walls like the spiders he lays eggs for baby spider dmg 27. his 2nd attack could be spitting big poison balls at the player 35dmg. And for his 2nd phase which is below 60% He attacks slightly faster his 2nd attack is buffed to shooting 3 big poison balls like a shotgun but he can also for his 3rd attack not an attack but more of something you might want to avoid laying webs which if the player is on they move 55% slower. Also ocram does not fall through platforms does not fly normally and his other way of travelling is jumping. His final attack is jump dash if your on the same height as him for example when your both on the same platform layer he will jump right at you at quick speeds so moving down the platform would be helpful. Ocrams only way of going down platforms would be to use his crawling tactic where he crawls on the wall
This video really shows that we’re all different. I personally loved the legacy console versions. At a very small point in time before 1.2 released on PC, you could factually say that console had more content due to Ocram and its drops. Although the Sharanga and the Ocram content was extremely expensive, I loved the grind.
Hey man, really cool video. Just one small piece of criticism: If you're going to upscale textures to use as visual aid, please use nearest neighbor type upscaling. The textures look really blurry if you don't.
@@ShardonOk For example the RoD at 4:11 looks blurry. When you grab the image off of the wiki and then drag it to be bigger in the editing software it most likely uses the default upscale algorithm which does not work well with pixel art. I'm not sure if i can post a imgur url without this comment getting auto removed by youtube so here is the post id: BgkOiIy Hope this helps clarifying what i mean. I'll post a separate reply with just the link as well although that will probably get filtered
@@ShardonOk Depends on what you use to edit. Your editing software might have a setting for upscaling/resampling of static images. I'm pretty sure Adobe AE still lacks this feature but there might be a 3rd party plugin. If it doesn't you could use image editing software (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.) to upscale the images you plan to use first and then drag them into the editing software (you can change the upscaling mode in the settings). There are some useful online tools specifically for scaling up pixel art as well which will probably do the job the easiest. Bit of a tangent: This is actually a really common issue with pixel art because the usual algorithms that most modern image und video editing software use are built for reasonably high resolution images like pictures and drawings. The problem is that these break when trying to increase the size of something that is intentionally low res like pixel art. Nearest-Neighbour upscaling isn't really doing any upscaling at all, just copying pixels to their adjacent edges effectively increasing the image size. Increasing the effective resolution of pixel art this way is basically just "making it bigger" without actually changing anything. This would look really horrible on anything that isn't pixel art however. I'm a big pixel art nerd and also into digital data processing and algorithms so this probably bothers me more than most btw.
I remember I used to be so bad at the game and when I was five my "house" was a giant wall of dirt o both sides and me and my brothers were fighting Lepus and we just got decimated so many times, brings back alot of memories
I remember when I was 10 years old on the 360 version. Me and my brother had 2 different worlds my world and his Unfortunately, my world corrupted, but only half of it. For some reason it completely deleted half of the world, the right half, but that was the half i had all of my buildings on. I spent a couple hours trying to rebuild the terrain that was there off memory, of course i gave up really quick but at least we still had my brothers world ( The one we spent the most time on )
i remember in 1.2 i played the ps4 edition and there was a bug where if u wore red wings in your equips and a jetpack in ur vanity you could infinitly fly
The bug I hated most was during new updates there was a chance your world spawn would be torn in half like imagine if you made a sky scraper house and it had every 2nd block moved up about 1-3 blocks
I’ll always remember this, I was like 9 at the time and on the Wii U and my friend gave me Red’s Wings, which at the time had unlimited flight, this isn’t weird he just hacked them in, what IS weird, is that he also gave me a SDMG, which wasn’t added until 1.3, I have NO IDEA how he got this!!
dudeee I remember this i have NO clue why it was obtainable in the game but yeah for some reason all the people who had red wings tended to have a SDMG too lmao, i guess it was just in the games code for whatever reason
I remember back in 7th grade, I used to come home from school every day, turn on my PS3, and play some Terraria. I had a world where I had beaten the Wall Of Flesh (for the first time) and was preparing to fight the mech bosses, but then the world seemingly corrupted in an interesting way: whenever I attempted to go underground at all, in any part of the world, at the exact same level the entire PS3 would freeze up. I couldn't close the game or anything, the whole console had to be restarted. Although I did miss that world because it was my first world where I made actual progression, I was able to move my character to my PS4 when I got it and start a new world on there, but I still find it sad that my first hardmode terraria world had to be plagued with a bug like that
Honestly, i loved how tiny bits of the exclusives were kept into 1.3, only a few things survived, like the ocram trophy, but everything was removed by 1.4 sadly. The traveling merchant even used to sell the armor sets as vanity in 1.3.
I played mobile terraria from years before hardmode released, got so hype when hardcode came out, and eventually 1.2.4, then I could finally play 1.3 when I got a pc. So nostalgic, I remember Ocram very well
I remember playing terraria exclusively on Xbox 360 until I got my dads old laptop, and the day 1.3 came out I was so excited for it that I wanted to play it on PC since console 1.3 would be delayed, but my laptop was being used by my sister and she wouldn’t give it so I took my moms card and bought it on steam using a smart TV and than got the laptop and played it, I am not sure why I did that but this video made me remember that.
my first time touching a console of some sort was when i was 5 or 6. I was playing minecraft with my friend. I remember getting extremely excited over chicken eggs and struggling to open a door at night. a year later, my dad got me an ipad, and when i moved to california, an older friend introduced me to terraria (2018, so probably 1.3). I still remember the first weapon i got from him: the flairon. i even remember the reforge: ruthless. when i instantly got in, he spawned lepus, and i remember spending the rest of the time trying to kill this multiplying beast, though i was doing nothing because i didnt understand the concept of the game much. it took my almost 2 years to actually beat the game (due to not having much gametime and not knowing a wiki existed) but every moment of terraria was so fun. after almost 3 years of not playing the game, a month ago i remembered all the good times and decided to download it on my computer. I beat the game in 3 hours lmao. Terraria is truly the best game
My childhood gaming device was first the Gameboy, then DS lite, then Xbox360 Also, the zombie and wasp pet did damage to enemies. If you can position it correctly then you can afk grind AAAAAAHHHHH MAN I LOVE SHARANGA AND VULCAN REPEATER
I remember getting the corruption bug. Was playing one day just after getting my first adamantite arnour piece. Had to leave for school that day and had to save and tuen off my xbox. I had turned off the tv screen and waited the normal save time before i turned off the console. The save mist uave taken longer than usual, because the next time Im back on the xbox, the entire world is corrupted
I don’t think I’ve had the corruption bug, but I had a file that cut the world in half and shifted one half to the top of the world so that there was a massive gap all the way to the under world. Another thing I remember was how piggy banks and safes were broken and could give and exchange various items. It’s how I got near infinite platinum and red’s wings (which had infinite or at least a massive flight time).
My childhood gaming device was a pc, because my dad used it for work it was quite good for it's time. My first game was overwatch, I got it when it came out, but before that I have been already playing flash games for like 4 years, and I am now 20.
The corrupted world bug happened to me when i used to play the console version so i wrote a ticket on the 505 games website and I was actually given a free steam key for the game it eased the pain of losing my world at the time. The bug impacted my world very strangely too i think i was able to travel on the surface perfectly fine still but the second i entered the underground layer of the world my PS3 completely froze.
I started with playing 1.3 it was my favourite game, i didnt know there was weapons i only knew how to get bows and flame arrows and hardly summon eye of cuthulu, now i have beaten terraria more than 6 times, good memories.
I remember a bug for me where you would play with friends, and somehow the world would be transferred to a friend and you’d lose the world. This could be annoying but fine, but also like around a little bit under the underground layer the entire world would just disappear entirely, just blank no walls no blocks. This happened to multiple worlds I made and it is why I refuse to play terraria on console ever again
My childhood videogaming machines were mainly the Super Nintendo and the Game Boy Color. I used to play a lot of the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. Yoshi's Island was also a cool game, one day I need to find me another copy of it, but people want so much money for a Super Nintendo cartridge.
Wow you made me feel old. My starting console wasn’t even on the list. The other starting consoles I would have listed weren’t there. I started with the N64.
Even in 2013, on the xbox 360, when i belived you fought the EoC by finding where the most demon eyes spawn, We still loved watching the guide get brutality killed
As someone who played legacy 1.2 in my J1 samsung phone(yes that is a thing) i really felt underwelmed by ocrams drops as unlike the consolaria mod, de spear has bad range, the tizona was short ranged and true melee, and the repeater was just a repeater(never really liked repeaters). The one upside about having it on my phone is that the phone is litterally so old it didnt update, so i can just go back and play it if i want to.
That's how my old phone is but now I'm trying to get the old version ported over to my z fold 4 so I can play on a bigger screen. Maybe I'll make a video on it if I can figure it out
I experienced a completely different bug than the corruption bug that led me to quitting the game. It was one that I tried researching but I was unable to find much on it. It was when 3 of my worlds (made at different times, and affected at different times) got all of the blocks, including the air, replaced with dirt. So the whole world was just dirt.
I'd like to add on to another bug. The Dirt Bug. Sometimes, if you did TOO much in a world, it would randomly corrupt the world and make the dungeon half of your world from Space to Hell, dirt. Solid, continuous, never ending, dirt. And, my favorite part? Not too hard to get. Step 1, get to post golem. Step 2, have over 60 chests and at least 12 items per. Now, every single time you log into the world, 1 in 1000 for this to occur. Gets more likely the MORE stuff you got in storage. I have 3 worlds on my 360 like this
My childhood console was the PS3. It was a glorious time to be a kid, world at war, MW1 and MW2, black ops 1 and 2, this was an amazing time in my childhood. After school we would go to the absolute hellscape that was a call of duty lobby in the late 2000s. What a time to be a console gamer.
I remember playing Legacy Terraria on my dad’s PS3. I was so bad at the game. But I was like 9 or 10 and had no idea what to do. I was actually more of a Minecraft player so I just played like I was in Minecraft. I remember being so scared of the Eye of Cuthulu when I somehow met the requirements for it to spawn naturally and I died to it pretty quickly. I didn’t touch the game for weeks after that because I was too scared to face it again. So glad I actually know how to play now(and moved to PC, this game is not good with controller imo).
Fun fact: legacy console version (not including 3ds or mobile) actually had some content from updates they had not yet recieved. items like the S.D.M.G, Gravity Globe and most of the old one's army were in the game but unobtainable. using an inventory editor these items could be used like normal.
The Corruption bug absolutely existed. Made me so sad when it happened to me those days lol :( If on the offchance you somehow got to access the world again, your entire world was completely filled with dirt blocks, and your console would freeze before switching off a few moments later.
i have a sour memory of this version. my brothers friends brother gave me all end game gear. after a few months... i lean on my controller, and land on the delete character button and then the confirm button in that order. i never played terraria again until i got a PC and my friends asked me to play with them years later
I remember back when I used to play Terraria for console. Does anybody remember the piggy bank/safe bug? You put something in it, exit the world, and when you came back, the quantity of the item was read as an item ID, turning into a completely different item. And then you had the bug of armor pieces in buff slots, and a work bench that gave you a ridiculous amount of defense. Note, this was 1.2 for console.
I remember one specific bug from playing Terraria on console, a duplication glitch, because of the fact that the old versions of the game would save the world data, being things like the players inventory and all that, and the map data, like block placements and items in chests, separately, which it would display on the saving screen, so all you had to do was put something in your inventory, save the game, go back in, put the item in the chest, leave the game, and close the game once it finishes saving the map data. And that's how I got 500 something broken hero swords, for some reason.
I vividly remember playing to the entirety of Terraria was my older brother. That was the only time we ever got along. Not even now, 7 years after that.
I remember being devastated when my ps3 crashed and caused the corruption bug which is also one of the reasons that I got a ps4. However the days of arkonauts 1.2 terraria was amazing
Bro they also need to change the way Santa leaves your world because it’s been saying “Santa claus was slain” when the month of December ends for years already
Me and my brothers 360 world got corrupted. We never got far in progression, but we built a lot and had fun in it. One day it just stopped working and we were super bummed and still kinda are
"I know a lot of you started with a PS3, a Wii U..." *Sobs in being a 90s kid and starting with the old school gray NES with Blaster Master and Zelda II*
"A lot of you guys started with a PS3, or a Wii, or a 3DS." Did not expect to feel so old. My childhood gaming consoles were a Super Nintendo Entertainment System and a PS2 (even though I played, like, exclusively PS1 games for a long time) I'm not as old with Terraria, though. I've only been playing the game for about 3.5 years and started on the PS4 before switching to exclusively PC.
Xbox 360, the first one where you needed a wifi adapter or Ethernet connection, I got it for my birthday with a bunch of games on it, Terraria was one of them and I loved it. I only got up to Plantera though.
Recently started playing the ps5 version with my brother and this "Corruption" bug still exists. For my world, it just seemed to not safe certain "chunks" when i closed the game. As example, i saw on my map a tunnel i dug up, but in the world itself there were still all blocks, the door to the jungle temple closed itself off everytime i entered it with a new key, etc. For my brother it was worse: He was trying to complete this game and tried to purify his world. It worked as first, but after a few game session his entire world was "normal", but the background was crimson, crimson monsters spawned anywhere he went, not even trying to purify it solved it. Bugs like these sadly made us quit this game on the console version after spending 100+hours on it.
What makes me sad and also a bit angry is that Redigit said something along the lines that Ocram is a flaming pile of rubbish that deserves to be at the bottom of a volcano
I was a victim of the corruption bug, power went out, and next time I got on my 360, all the blocks in the game were black, and I couldn’t fix it so I stopped playing.
Thanks for the insight homie!
@@ShardonOk No problem.
A little bit more insight from those days:
Y'know how everyone memes on Re-Logic for being addicted to updating the game, despite it being the final update? 1.1 was the original intended final update. At the time, the console version was believed to be the definitive version because of this, and also why they marketed Ocram as the final boss in the first place. Of course, all that kinda falls apart when Re-Logic starts updating the game again and suddenly the new "final boss" is Golem and all the exclusive content is now obsolete.
Here's some trivia, too!
-Back then, pets were practically nonexistent beyond the Collector's Edition carrot and the two light pets (a term that didn't even exist yet), so the 6 new pets were coveted treasures. A few of them even do tiny amounts of damage!
-Space Day, Ocean Night, Desert, Ice, Boss 5, and Morning rain all came from Legacy Console as the Space, Desert, Ocean, Desert, Snow, 4th Boss theme, and Tutorial song respectively, as well as the Alt Title music box crafted with all of those songs.
-Back in Legacy Console 1.2, the Red Potion effect that'd apply to you if you equipped Red's Wings (back when it was a dev-only item) just straight-up didn't work. So more often than not you'd contact the shadiest kid in your school to hook you up with a pair and now you have infinite flight.
i hate that after an update on mobile terria the hollow eats up the jungle.
Ahh, the good times. (Not really)

I still have war flashbacks to that day
😭
yep had the exact same bug, along with this I even played so much longer after this to have another world corrupted in a different way, where all of the chests just became unopenable despite the prompt being there to open them.
Dear God Its All Dirt
Same thing happened to my brother and I! Only half of my world was dirt, but I couldn't interact with anything I had placed down prior. Chests, safes, etc. The NPCs that managed to survive couldn't even be prompted to speak. :(
I remember finding the dragon helmet in a overworld chest, it had 25 defense and carried me and my 2 little brothers back then till ocram. Good times😞
I remember someone talking about that bug. I might make a video just talking about some of the random bugs from legacy 😂
oh shit i remeber the random dragon helmet overworld chest... my brother stole mine and then the day later it got fucking patched... i was not a happy camper lol
@@ShardonOkOh that was a bug? I found a Drax in a shadow chest and thought it was a feature

I think ocram should return. Not as a final boss but just overhaul it and place it somewhere between golem and the empress of light.
Mechdusa. Take it or leave it.
Unfortunately it will never happen because Re-Logic doesn't like Ocram, or any of the content added in the console ports.

About that corruption bug. The autosave feature also would randomly corrupt the world. Happened to me twice. Turned autosave off and it never happened again.
Interesting. Thanks for the insight
Imagine, it's designed to solve similar situations to the Xbox turning off during a save
And it causes it more
i have fond memories of playing terraria legacy as a elementary school kid. while i didnt get introduced to it then, it has my favorite memories of terraria. this summer me and my cousin decided to play it while i was visiting and, well, lets just say i was disillusioned to the nostalgia. it wasnt bad by any means, but, the QoL stuff that existed in recent updates is just to much to overlook. one thing i loved though was the inventory. *chef's kiss* perfection!
The inventory was so nice! Wish there was an option to switch to legacy controls in 1.4 Terraria mobile
The holy hand grenades definitely carried this version aside from the collective experience of accidentally throwing one in your own base
I wish that item returns
It could be a decent hellevator maker
The corruption bug actually occured to me in the wii u when I played with my brother, it was devastating but we made another world and we have it to this day
Hello! Former victim of the corruption bug! I don't ever recall turning off my Xbox during saving but it definitely could've happened, what I do recall is 80% of the world being filled with dirt blocks, top to bottom, all the way to around the dungeon, I still miss my towering NPC village to this day
I just recently got another comment about an issue similar to yours. I'm not sure if that was the corruption bug or a different one entirely
There is also a death message saying "[player] was sent to Ocram's house"
One of the things I do miss, surprisingly, are the arch wyverns. They seemed to add a little more danger to being in the skies fresh out of hardmode
Really wish those were put back in 😔🙏
Arch Wyverns, Arch Demons, Dragon Hornets, and Dragon Skulls feel like they'd be good additions to expert and master mode. It's a shame they weren't kept.
Well there’s a possibility they could be added back in since there adding orcas back. Who knows 🤷♀️
I feel your pain brother 😂 That boss was such a troll
That happened to me but on the 3ds version. I was so pissed because there was nothing I could do to kill it and it kept making more and my world was ruined
Still my favorite version because of nostalgia
Same tbh
oh hi
@@cobaliumgd9817 wow hi, it's certainly been a while
Feel like ocram fits into the corruption more than eater of worlds. Just looks like he belongs in that environment as it's boss more than eater of worlds.
Ah yes, Terraria on the Wii, my favourite version of the game
Well, it was on Wii U.
6:06 i love that u used a graffiti sticker "hello my name is"
I thought I was insane when I remembered souls of blight.
I played countless hours of terraria on my xbox 360, lot of nostalgia. Hard to hate it. Imo it didnt suck
I did as well. Honestly it wasn't too bad but this video is more about the comparison between this version and 1.3. Also the fact that it is $10 more than. The PC version
@madaxisbored I prefer 1.2 because it was a lot harder than 1.3 but the newer version grew on me
i played an immense amount of terraria ps3 and to this day emulate it on my laptop because it to this day is the best terraria controller experience i've had
Oh my god, I played Terraria for the first time on the wii and so many memories just surfaced. i forgoted about the Petri dish and the archdemon dude
My console terraria world got every single block replaced with dirt. It was awful, and 12 year old me was crushed.
LUPUS!!
Same, even being more limited it was super fun, the older versions had more charm
The First game I played, was terraria. On my mums ipad. You know, when the icon had an archeology hat. it was in like 1.0 or 1.1 or smth.
Yep, makes sense. Good effort and scripting.
And while it was rather the tutorial than the legacy version, I still get huge levels of nostaligia from playing it because it had what is now the morning rain theme and I absolutely loved the vibe so much.
I love the tutorial music so much. I'm disappointed I didn't use it in this video (or at least I don't think I did lol)
the first time i heard the morning rain theme i just paused the game and sat there for a while
I remember the 3ds version. I lost my character to turning it off while it was saving, even though it says not to.(It was taking a long time) and I think I still had my worlds, but my best loot was gone. And I never spawned ocram because I was too scared I couldn’t beat it. 400 hours
top tier content man. I genuinely wish you the best of luck for your channel brotha
Thank you!
I had a lot of fun with 1.2 back in the PS3 days
i first started with the nintendo 3ds and xbox 360. Those two are goated
My fondest memories are of a ps2 and I clearly remember having a ps1 as a child. You made me feel old and I'm not even 25 years old yet.
> the game writes data to the disk
> the game is force closed without finishing the operation

man, kids play this game (even if it says dont close your game as it's saving) kids dont know better and especially if somebody tells them to close the game they are probably gonna make the mistake of closing their console as it was saving

No you couldn't
I played through 1.2.6 on my Wii U for the first time, it’s what made me want to play terraria and what got me hooked.
honestly, i just miss the different looks for some enemies. i just liked the slight amount of variety, especially with the wyverns.

You might have to leave me a timestamp. I don't remember any time in the video I upscaled images
@@ShardonOk For example the RoD at 4:11 looks blurry. When you grab the image off of the wiki and then drag it to be bigger in the editing software it most likely uses the default upscale algorithm which does not work well with pixel art. I'm not sure if i can post a imgur url without this comment getting auto removed by youtube so here is the post id: BgkOiIy
Hope this helps clarifying what i mean. I'll post a separate reply with just the link as well although that will probably get filtered
Oh alright I understand what you mean. So how would I go at this "nearest neighbor" upscaling? Never done it before obviously
@@ShardonOkphotoshop
@@ShardonOk Depends on what you use to edit. Your editing software might have a setting for upscaling/resampling of static images. I'm pretty sure Adobe AE still lacks this feature but there might be a 3rd party plugin. If it doesn't you could use image editing software (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.) to upscale the images you plan to use first and then drag them into the editing software (you can change the upscaling mode in the settings). There are some useful online tools specifically for scaling up pixel art as well which will probably do the job the easiest.
Bit of a tangent:
This is actually a really common issue with pixel art because the usual algorithms that most modern image und video editing software use are built for reasonably high resolution images like pictures and drawings.
To be fair spectral elementals dropped an extra soul of light
Oh yeah I think I remember that
I remember when I was 10 years old on the 360 version. Me and my brother had 2 different worlds my world and his Unfortunately, my world corrupted, but only half of it. For some reason it completely deleted half of the world, the right half, but that was the half i had all of my buildings on. I spent a couple hours trying to rebuild the terrain that was there off memory, of course i gave up really quick but at least we still had my brothers world ( The one we spent the most time on )
Great video! You deserve more subs.

How does content like this only have 200 views and 21 likes?!you deserve so much more bro.
Yeah! Wtf??
Thank you!
My man needs to work for the government with this level of hacking skill
dudeee I remember this i have NO clue why it was obtainable in the game but yeah for some reason all the people who had red wings tended to have a SDMG too lmao, i guess it was just in the games code for whatever reason
My favorite childhood devise is Gameboy and PSP 🥴✨
Ocram on mobile made me a vampire knives fan, couldn't kill him without them.
i played it. qol was so bad. couldn't place minecart tracks whhile in a minecart meaning you had to place platforms then minecart tracks on top
my first time touching a console of some sort was when i was 5 or 6.
My childhood gaming device was first the Gameboy, then DS lite, then Xbox360
Also, the zombie and wasp pet did damage to enemies. If you can position it correctly then you can afk grind
AAAAAAHHHHH MAN I LOVE SHARANGA AND VULCAN REPEATER
Nice!
Even in 2013, on the xbox 360, when i belived you fought the EoC by finding where the most demon eyes spawn,
We still loved watching the guide get brutality killed
Xbox 360 terraria is so nostalgic for me I used to watch so much stampy and even tried recreating the huge tree house he made in his series
The colsolaria mod should be added into original terraria tbh the new modded ocram is so good alongwith the reworks of the weapons and armour
My First Version Of Terraria Was On The PS3... I Miss Those Days...
I remember my first time playing terraria, the terrain was so scuffed
i have a sour memory of this version. my brothers friends brother gave me all end game gear. after a few months... i lean on my controller, and land on the delete character button and then the confirm button in that order. i never played terraria again until i got a PC and my friends asked me to play with them years later
Note, this was 1.2 for console.
this was the biggest bug i remember i would spend hours with friends trying to get good or rare stuff
I remember there was a duplication glitch which required you to have two people
I vividly remember playing to the entirety of Terraria was my older brother.
One day it just stopped working and we were super bummed and still kinda are
"I know a lot of you started with a PS3, a Wii U..."
*Sobs in being a 90s kid and starting with the old school gray NES with Blaster Master and Zelda II*
"A lot of you guys started with a PS3, or a Wii, or a 3DS."
Did not expect to feel so old. My childhood gaming consoles were a Super Nintendo Entertainment System and a PS2 (even though I played, like, exclusively PS1 games for a long time)
I'm not as old with Terraria, though. I've only been playing the game for about 3.5 years and started on the PS4 before switching to exclusively PC.
I started playing this game at the start of 2017 which was when 1.2 was the latest update. I loved this game and still do to this day.
My phone, and my ps2 with 1 game
What makes me sad and also a bit angry is that Redigit said something along the lines that Ocram is a flaming pile of rubbish that deserves to be at the bottom of a volcano
I was a victim of the corruption bug, power went out, and next time I got on my 360, all the blocks in the game were black, and I couldn’t fix it so I stopped playing.
