@ANA LUIZA RODRIGUES FARIAS I didn't notice that before! You're right, maybe it's because Gris' memory of her mother has been put back to together that her voice reappears.
Today was my grandparents' funeral. I came here hoping to find some kind of closure, I guess. My grandfather was a stoic for most of my life, but I learned so much about him these past few days. The man joined an underground resistance against the Nazis in high school and survived a bullet because of it. I met my great uncle at his wake for the first time. But I didn't feel anything particular until I came to this soundtrack. I've played this game before someone close to me died. I wonder if it'll be any different if I play it now. Just...thank you for posting this. I needed it.

I love this soundtrack with my life. It is not just the beauty, or the emotion that I love, but something undeniably ascendant about the delicate affection that is written into very note, the ethereal reach of the vocal performances. I have to be honest, I think this is my favorite part of the game. (besides when Gris reunites with her mother's statue) The scene with the red turtle and Gris really makes me think that Gris is using her determination and anger towards her sadness helped her get through her depression. (00:10:56) The fact that this track is called 'Perseverance' really shows how depression can always seem to bring you down, or work against you. The moment I saw this game before its release, I knew I had to play it. And when I did and eventually finished it, I was speechless. I loved every bit of it by heart, including this OST. Thank you very much to Nomada Studio for creating such a wonderful game and to you Berlinist, for an unforgettable soundtrack. I am forever grateful that I am alive to witness this masterpiece. Thank you very much. ❤️
It seems as though most people here have lost somebody close to them in their lives... I haven't lost anyone yet but I feel deeply lost in this life which makes me feel like I can somewhat relate although I can never know what it is like. I believe, that for this reason this game & this soundtrack resonated far too deeply with me. It truly is a work of art and I agree with everyone praising this game... It deserves all the praise it can get. Its somewhat of a bittersweet experience about overcoming the darkness. I like how it shows how powerful the darkness can be destroying everything in it's path but in the end the protagonist stood her ground and overcame the hardships, kind of like overcoming hardships in life. I believe we can all overcome anything this life has to throw at us! It's just incredibly hard to do.
This is literally the best sountrack that has ever been made for a game. I play the whole songs while driving and it really relaxes me in the traffic. Thank you for making such a masterpiece Berlinist.
I would advise you try more games. I understand opinions and preferences are a thing but you made an objective statement rather than an opinionated one. Check out the NieR series OST. They're my personal favorite game soundtracks and why I can't see this game reasonably being considered for the best soundtrack in gaming.

The most beautiful Soundtrack i`ve ever heard! This is a Masterpiece. I can`t stop listening and in combination with the outstanding Game it brings me to tears. Thanks for this emotional Journey.
I used Google Translate on your comment, I was wondering what language some of the song names were in, thanks for clarifying. There's also "うなぎ" which is one of my favorites. Indeed, this game is truly beautiful.
I really like the beginning of new sequences in this game. In the beginning, there was only emptiness and white color also was only a hand. With more colors and emotions, the statue of a Mother is more complete. It is also a great way to describe how emotions are important and describe ourselves. I really love how at the beginning of "Sparks" the statue opens her eyes and Gris starts to cry/sing, letting all the darkness fade away and we can see a full moon. It's kind of obvious and everyone has noticed it, but I want to talk about hah. Briliant work Nomada Studio and You, Berlinist, for creating a beautiful soundtrack for this game. Can't wait for more!
I've gone thru some of the most changing, shattering and lowest points in my life at 37 years of age...masterfully crafted music like this still makes me feel that there's hope and light at the end of the tunnel... 👍if u can relate
I Can't NOT get shivers and tear up every single time I hear this soundtrack. I've finished the game twice and it's been a year since I first played it. But this music keeps getting to me. I'm so grateful I get to live in a time where music and games like this are being made. Thank you
I feel like music such as this is incredibly underrated. I'm never aware of what is currently popular in terms of contemporary music because I no longer listen to the radio. Instead, I feel myself being drawn to RUclips on a daily basis to discover soundtracks like this one. It's breathtaking.
My dad used to play this game all the time and I’d like to watch him play but the music would make me so tired I’d always end up falling asleep, this music brings back memories, it is absolute perfection, and it’s so calming to me, thank you for all the wonderful detail that you put in this game it really makes it so special ❤
54:30 Gosh I love the track from here on forth, the build-up is just incredible. The building anxiousness with the lower toms and the voices adding distress, and then they finally hit the cymbals. It's so uplifting. 30:40 Came back to say the flute here is very calming
Thank you so much for creating such beauty. I don't think there will ever come a day where this soundtrack doesn't resonate deeply with me. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you
I only just played GRIS this past weekend (Feb 2022) and was awestruck for every moment of it. At times I wouldn’t even move the controller because I wanted to take in the art and the music (my switch is full of screenshots lol). I even felt guilty for getting it at a very cheap discount! I hadn’t gotten all the achievements on the first run though so I’ll be going back to fill those in but I’m looking forward to reliving every moment of it. Thank you for a simply wonderful soundtrack!
I know it's been awhile since this was released, but this music MAKES the game, and gives it the emotional punch in the heart that it has. This was one of the most moving experiences in media/art/entertainment that I've had in recent memory. MASTERPIECE doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.
Just finished watching my friend playing this game, I myself played it several years ago. Gosh, it is just as beautiful as I remembered it, if not more. And the music struck me even closer to home than back then. Even simple tune provokes so many feelings and thoughts. Def will listen on repeat in the nearest future, thank you for being part of this masterpiece
One of the only soundtracks that can consistently make me tear up just by hearing it and not needing to see any matching clips. It really overwhelms you in the best way possible
Amazing concept, visuals and music. This game swallows you whole, whether you're ready for it, or not. It takes you through a world of art and emotions, and leaves you satisfied but still hungry for more at the end. 10/10 * !!
Years later and I still tear up listening to the soundtrack. You and Nomada created an emotional journey well worth reliving over and over again, because it's so universal.
Que viaje me hicieron pegar! Como una barca sin ancla gobernada por la corriente, su música me condujo por paisajes que se desdoblaban con el sonar de cada una de sus notas. Muy, muy bello estar a la deriva con ustedes. Felicitaciones! Puedo imaginarme a Sigur Ros inspirándose en ustedes.
I played this game after my brother passed and it made me sob. But after listening to this track a while after playing it and REALLY listening to it, it's really the perfect example of what grief is and all of the ups and lows. Will forever be my favorite track. Love and miss you tons Joshi bear, my lil bro.
I don't remember how I found GRIS on Steam, but it's been my favourite ever since. I've never felt like this before with a game, I keep coming back to it, replaying its chapters, taking new screenshots. Listening this amazing OST, listening to her singing...It's just part of me ever since we met.

I didn't expect Gris to make me cry so hard the first time I played it. Absolutely beautiful game. Even now revisiting the soundtrack a year later and it's making me choke up again.
As a game in the purest sense it's got many shortcomings, but there's no doubt it's a deeply emotional and beautiful experience. For that, I quite enjoyed it.
I sat down with this on New Years Eve of 2020. What a shit year, and I thought, lets just play something nice and relaxing. I was not prepared for the feels storm I was about to unleash upon myself.

I would usually write a paragraph about how awesome music impacts me. But, I just don't have words this time for this. There are no words that I know of that can describe how this music makes me feel. The closest words would be -- true happiness -- or -- bliss.
I love the game, I love the music, I love the graphics. This here, is an emotive MASTERPIECE, not many of those around. 11:10 This for me, the sea monster, was one of the most suspenseful moments in the game and I absolutely loved every second of it.

I love this soundtrack sooo much
Oh me too
It's so chill and calming...
9 People Played This Game, LOVED The Music, Searched For This, And Deliberately "Thumbs Down" This Video Just To Stand Out Because There Is No Way...Bad Taste In Culture? ABSOLUTELY!!!
Nine people are still Red
Oh how it must have felt to still be able to see dislikes
The moment I saw this game before its release, I knew I had to play it. And when I did and eventually finished it, I was speechless. I loved every bit of it by heart, including this OST. Thank you very much to Nomada Studio for creating such a wonderful game and to you Berlinist, for an unforgettable soundtrack. I am forever grateful that I am alive to witness this masterpiece. Thank you very much. ❤️
Make that two of us. |;-)
That would be most people alive today
This is literally the best sountrack that has ever been made for a game. I play the whole songs while driving and it really relaxes me in the traffic. Thank you for making such a masterpiece Berlinist.
I would advise you try more games.
I understand opinions and preferences are a thing but you made an objective statement rather than an opinionated one.
Check out the NieR series OST. They're my personal favorite game soundtracks and why I can't see this game reasonably being considered for the best soundtrack in gaming.
@@trevorveillette8415can't we keep the comparisons out of the beautiful things we have when it comes to video games ? If he wants to think this is the best soundtrack, just let him
The most beautiful Soundtrack i`ve ever heard!
Indeed, this game is truly beautiful.
la tuya por si acaso
I just finished my first playthrough of this game. I feel as if I want to cry but in a good way and sit next to Gris while she sings.
Coming out of a relationship of 5 years, I can connect to this... Thank you Nomada and Berlinist.
A genuine masterpiece that helped me through a painful journey process of grieving..after I lost my father. Thank you!
I’m already cold, let alone getting chills from this ost.
I bought Gris immediately after hearing your soundtrack. The visuals alone put the game on my wishlist. Your music put it over the top.
Thank you.
A pure masterpiece !
Thank you for posting this!
What you captured here will never be done again.
This is what "special" sounds like.
Thank you so much for creating such beauty. I don't think there will ever come a day where this soundtrack doesn't resonate deeply with me. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you
This is what got gris up to the masterpiece level, nice work, waiting for the next 💙🌠
Greetings from Algeria 🇩🇿.
This is such a wonderful OST, and I aspire to make such compelling and emotional video game music one day. Thank you for bringing this to life ❤️
I only just played GRIS this past weekend (Feb 2022) and was awestruck for every moment of it.
Me pone la piel de gallina siempre que escucho los soundtracks de Gris, hicieron una maravilla, felicidades.
Years later and I still tear up listening to the soundtrack. You and Nomada created an emotional journey well worth reliving over and over again, because it's so universal.
Thank you so much for creating this!, it really shaped the game and complements the ambience so well
Thanks for posting this, it is lovely. It is one my favourite soundtracks. My favourite track is Descent.
It was playing for 3 mins and
I was already genuinely moved and shivered... Such an amazing tracklist this is!
Que viaje me hicieron pegar! Como una barca sin ancla gobernada por la corriente, su música me condujo por paisajes que se desdoblaban con el sonar de cada una de sus notas. Muy, muy bello estar a la deriva con ustedes. Felicitaciones! Puedo imaginarme a Sigur Ros inspirándose en ustedes.
lovely soundtrack tunes here!!
I played this game after my brother passed and it made me sob. But after listening to this track a while after playing it and REALLY listening to it, it's really the perfect example of what grief is and all of the ups and lows. Will forever be my favorite track. Love and miss you tons Joshi bear, my lil bro.
berlinist, thank you for this amazing soundtrack. Gris wouldn't be as great game as it is without your work.
The most beautiful soundtracks I've ever listened to. Thank you, Berlinist, thank you so much🖤
This OST is so wonderful. Thank you so much for this!
Thank you for uploading this piece of beauty. As someone experiencing pain and sorrow, this is both uplifting and mending.
You have no idea how many feelings you made us experience just with this ST alone. Please don''t stop composing for art pieces like Gris.
Огромное спасибо вам господа, за столь уникальную и прекрасную музыку
Thanks, @berlinist! I listen to this soundtrack very often. It's excellent in and of itself, but I also love being reminded of Gris. ❤️
I don't remember how I found GRIS on Steam, but it's been my favourite ever since. I've never felt like this before with a game, I keep coming back to it, replaying its chapters, taking new screenshots. Listening this amazing OST, listening to her singing...It's just part of me ever since we met.
Yeah, this game is also very special too me. It also feels like it became a part of me.
That just shows how exceptional and unique GRIS is. 🤍🖤🤍
As a metal head I love this soundtrack it help me feel better and happy with myself, I’m a sensitive boy and an artist and this is what art sound like. be happy everybody and have a good life
54:32 this is magical and so amazing! simply one of the best sounds I've ever heard in my entire life!! 🖤🖤🖤
This is honestly one of the most stunning and emotional games I've ever played. The music is absolute perfection.
hey im not sure if you'll read this berlinist but i absolutely adore gris and it's soundtrack. thank you for all the hard work you've put in and know that art is immortal. we create our own legacy and you have created something that is truly beautiful
This sound track helped my with my MEXT research and now I listen to it whenever I have lesson plans to make. Thank you for an amazing game.
Thank you for creating this and sharing it with the world. 😍
I just finished the game. I wanna go walk in the woods and listen to the soundtrack :D
I bought both games and soundtracks, but I always hear them here. Thank you for writing such great music. Even if there's an ad, I'll enjoy it :)

Seems about right!
this joke is SO original dude
Props to being the first and only person on the internet I've seen use this comment format. It's cool and really inventive.
I really this format, because it feels new and refreshing.
@EasySmartBoosh Don't you think "songs" works fine here? We all understand what is meant and the therm "piece" isn't that common, when describing video game OST.
4 years and it stills give me chills
I didn't expect Gris to make me cry so hard the first time I played it. Absolutely beautiful game. Even now revisiting the soundtrack a year later and it's making me choke up again.
As a game in the purest sense it's got many shortcomings, but there's no doubt it's a deeply emotional and beautiful experience. For that, I quite enjoyed it.
I sat down with this on New Years Eve of 2020. What a shit year, and I thought, lets just play something nice and relaxing. I was not prepared for the feels storm I was about to unleash upon myself.
I felt the same way in December of 2020, was not expecting Gris to be so profound, yet beautiful.
most days i am gris. i am battling my constant grief that is simply living in the aftermath of a cornucopia of awful sights and experiences. I relate. And I want to keep fighting.
Then let's keep fighting.

Started playing this yesterday and had to stop just to listen to the music. This is a masterpiece all on its own. I'm so in love with this.
Truly one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever had the privilege to hear. You deserve all the praise for creating something so magnificent. Well done!
I'm honestly speechless, I enjoyed every single minute of this game, it is beautiful, the fact of not having a voice or not being able to use it makes me really emotional, GRIS has one of the best soundtracks I have ever listen to and one of the best short games I've ever played
I would usually write a paragraph about how awesome music impacts me. But, I just don't have words this time for this. There are no words that I know of that can describe how this music makes me feel. The closest words would be -- true happiness -- or -- bliss.
I had goosebumps nearly the entire time playing this game. Every piece of music was beautifully orchestrated
I love the game, I love the music, I love the graphics. This here, is an emotive MASTERPIECE, not many of those around.
11:10 This for me, the sea monster, was one of the most suspenseful moments in the game and I absolutely loved every second of it.
One of few games that actually made me feel. Fuck you, GRIS: I love you!
A piece of art !
What an amazing game... visually stunning, creative puzzles, and an intensely emotional story. The first game that made me cry. Beautiful.
Everytime i have borderline crisis i listen to this as a therapy music, it calms me down and helps me regulate. I'm really glad i found this game years ago, it helped me so much ❤
This game was amazing from start to finish. I loved the art, the story and the music. A moving experience
Music raises GRIS to next level which word can't fully describe for the feeling and emotion! Love this masterpiece!
I have no words how much this game and soundtrack mean to me.
The game has saved me in some way... It will probably forever be my favourite game. 🖤🖤🖤
