😂 This was wonderful to watch after a looooong work’s day! 👍
My mom (89 years old) and I are trying to start oil painting. Thank you for your help.
I just completed the beginner builder this weekend and it boosted my confidence after many years of depression not beinng able to complete desired paintings and projects. Thank you Chris your tutorials are the best 🙏🏻💕
yes! Love to hear this!
Where can I find it? I don’t see a link
You are the best art teacher I've ever had and I'm going on 70 years old and a retired illustrator. You are a wealth of truth and knowledge. You are my inspiration. Thank you!!
Wow, thank you!
I hadn't painted in oils for at least 35 years and you've helped get me painting again. I learned so much in your Foundations and Portraits courses and I'm looking forward to your Landscapes course. I consider myself a beginner, but I'm in no way ashamed of the three portraits I did for the portraits course. Thank you for all the instruction and insight. I binge watch on Patreon at every opportunity! 😊
You won't believe me, but I took the exact same route even before I became your patreon subscriber: I went with the still life (fruits and a red cap) and I've intuitively chosen exactly the same landscape as my first exercise! You're genius man🔥
This makes so much sense. Thanks for setting lessons up this way. It looks great and I am going to try some of them soon.
The most frustrating part about oil painting for me is that my paint texture never feels right. When you apply the paint it looks so easy and effortless, but when I do it I run out of paint in half a stroke. Btw congrats with your 351K subscribers. When I started following you you had around 2K 😊
do you use synthetic brushes ? that’s what he recommended on a video for longer, less texture strokes
there are also mediums you can add that change the texture of your oil paints. I don't remember what type helps with texture but search up oil paint mediums and what you need should pop up
Thanks so much Chris. You've helped me so much in finally taking the leap into oil painting for the first time. You've taken out the fear and mystery by keeping it simple and logical in how to approach it all. It's all there to follow along step by step. I'll definitely take a look at this bundle you've posted. Thanks again, have an awesome day.
Thanks! I'm glad to hear you took the leap into oils!
Fabulous! I’m going to try this, it seems so well structured. I love the clarity with which you explain these processes. Thank you so much!
Have fun!
This video was so helpful to see what you do and what is available on your Patreon site! ❤️ the idea of painting packs for building skills.
Awesome! Thank you!
i am so glad that i found you :) i only watched 2 videos but i know that i will watch more. subscribed😁
Found the link! 😊
That's crazy you just posted this. I was looking for a video just like this to do some start up confidence building oil paintings. You're great.
you even show the pallet coooool!
Great videos. I’m seeing you more often then my family…
love your videos!! I use himi gouache, so it's not exactly the same medium, but still, your tips still apply!! I have already improved vastly over 5 months of using gouache. I have bought some oils, though I am curious about how you store your paintings. I only have one small bedroom where I can lay my paintings on each other like books on a bookshelf. Is there a better way I can store my paintings/ what to put on them to make them last longer?
Love your dog.
Learning a lot from you thanks.
Glad to hear it
Thanks for sharing your information to be a better painter
Glad it was helpful!
I love your channel! I want to purchase some Rosemary brushes but with having to buy them from the UK are the shipping and fees high? I'm limited on what I can spend.
Have a quick question I'm trying to do a moon like blow with oil painting but I want to like a good serenity glow any specific mediums or chips you can help out with I really appreciate it
PUPPY PUPPY
I want to learn oil painting using water mixable oils. I need to learn about materials for thinning, mixing, cleaning, etc., as well as technique. Which of your courses do you recommend?
Are there translated subtitles in the videos on your patreon page? My English is not very good and on RUclips the subtitles automatically translated into Spanish are not accurate but they are a great help. Greetings.
So, I come from a watercolor background where everything I paint is smooth and flowy and well blended. I’m really trying to learn oil painting with expressive brush strokes… are you completing all of these in a single session? With just one medium or do you come back and add more layers??
I want to start with the first one. How do I get the information
Having trouble with oils. My brushes also fall apart after cleaning with no odor turns.
How can I access the entire 5 beginner oil painting course? Looks wonderful!

Hi Coach , do you have Patreon ?
It was very hard to listen to you with such a cute little doggie in your arms!!! I'll have to start the video over and put a post it note over the pup so I can actually learn something 😂
Coco says thanks!
@@paintcoach where is the link to your patreon page?
I'm going to search for my old can of turpentine. I noticed this Gamsol is just too weak for cleaning brushes thoroughly.
I'm having a difficult time finding the link for the 5 painting course. 😢
It's on my Patreon - www.patreon.com/paintcoach
Are these techniques transferable to acrylics?
Yes! I have had a lot of students go through my tutorials with acrylics
They work for me. I'm used to acrylics, so I can't compare.
Bro how can i contact with you?
