Ding , ding , ding!!! ... I think the reason why she didn't hire you is because of a personality clash. What i mean by this is , I've been watching you for a year now and your personality comes across as intelligent , well spoken , knowledgable , mature and if someone crosses you, you seem like the type of women that will assert yourself. Hence why i love your channel and you.
Unfortunately other people are not fond of these qualities especially if they are the boss or owner simply because you might expose their holes or weakness when it comes to their business.
Hun i wouldn't worry a damn bout not getting that job trust me its for your higher good.
The same thing happened to me when i went for an interview to a nail salon this summer and good thing i didn't get the job because 3 weeks later the shop closed down lol. i think its better that i go it on my own.Lets face it nails are not rocket science and especially we are in the age of learning everything online along with practice , practice . practice . Its not your abilities its just you posed a threat in some way who knows why. Thats the thing about the beauty industry women are catty and spiteful even if they are your boss hence i just say build up your clientele on your own and you attract the right clientele as well.
Sorry this was a long one lol but i don't know why but my sprit told me you really needed to hear this.
    Much Love from Canada

Anytime ! i would suggest finding a lash tech who has a room and maybe they can sublet to you. I find with nails on its own it might be a bit harder to attracts clients (depends where you are) so the lashes and nails go hand in hand or a hair stylist. You don't need a lot of room to start. Just start :)

Wonderful comment! I wish I had an email address for you, I have so much that I would like to share, and don't think that RUclips is the place to expose all of this. But I'll try to keep it short and sweet and PC. I'm not sure if I remember how if you ever stayed at how old you are, I'm 47 years old, I have a master's degree in human resource management And I absolutely love working with people, although working with people can be challenging. Age in this industry is no longer an issue so I don't want you to think that because you're older than this girl is that something to do with why she didn't hire you there's other issues there that we may never know why she didn't do it but that's not it you look like you're about 20! Keep your head up. There's something out there for you. Keep in mind that we are in an industry where the women are going to be biased, and there may be some forms of discrimination that we experience because of certain attributes that we possess, I hope you understand what I'm saying I'm trying to be PC here? When you smile on your videos you have a bright radiance, when you speak You're highly intelligent, you're passionate and serious about what you do, it's obvious that once you get your feet wet and you become seasoned you were going to be quite the formidable Force as a business woman who will have her own nail tech salon, pedicures manicures what have you- your own shop. Don't stop you've come to far. Keep going. Trying to come up with creative and innovative ways for you to be able to work on people as a licensed new nail technician. Think of marketing campaigns in your area. Get on the internet Google how many nail technician services are within a 50 or a hundred mile radius from where you live. Go on Google or Yelp and see how many reviews people have given to some of these Nail Tech salons. Find one that would NEED your help. the holidays are approaching, one of the busiest times of the year for nail technicians is Halloween, then you've got Thanksgiving, and of course Christmas, and then again New Years. And I hope this makes sense? The expertise that you can bring to a salon that may not be as savvy in business, intelligent, or even radiant would be a gift. And then while you're doing that continue to think of different marketing strategies... do you have a way to become a mobile tech if your state offers that option? Is there a way that you can advertise your services at a discount to allow clients to maybe provide you with donations so that you can get your clientele built up everybody loves a bargain and I've seen your nails they look awesome! don't forget to take pictures, pictures, and more pictures put them RUclips. Upload more videos per week. Do you have a website? You could place your pictures and your experience on your website (FREE...WIX) and is also a way for you to attract potential clients in your area. Advertise yourself on Yelp, I don't know how much Google charges for their services they could be kind of expensive but you have to do research on that. You know websites now are business cards. Are you on Twitter? Are you on Instagram? I've even taking some tips that you suggested and I'm applying them to my practice sessions now and my nails are looking a lot better. Thank you by the way. These are just some ideas that I have. You're going to make it! Sometimes we have to be more savvy and more creative than some others in order for us to be able to let our light shine. It is meant for you to be a nail tech for many reasons. The industry can use color, in terms of diversity different kinds of beauty different kinds of sizes and different kinds of expression. The industry can use it!!! Before I go because this is probably way too long why don't you upload more videos Per week? Do research on who's in your area that needs help if Yelp offers five star reviews and you've got a shop that is only getting two stars find out why and present yourself. Someone just may go ahead and say let me give her a try. Never give up, keep looking at all your options, and you'll get it.💜😉

I LOVE your honesty! If the door doesn't OPEN it's NOT YOUR DOOR!!! Keep your spirits up, continue practicing and continue your great videos! IF you want.....Send her a Thank You note for the chance to interview, then move on. She will be sorry she didn't hire you. I will continue to support your RUclips channel.

Hi Rita, I am sincerely sorry to hear that you did not get the nail tech job. I think it was quite disrespectful of the employer not to have the decency, or in this case the professionalism, to let you know why she made ultimately made that decision. I think feedback is very important because it helps to know in what areas we are lacking and it helps us to address those areas for future interviews. This only leaves you guessing over and over again what could have been the reason! I know all too well what this feels like. When I went through a similar situation I just felt a nervous hollowness in the pit of my stomach for days after. Eventually the acceptance took over and I just moved but it does feel awful, both physical and emotionally, while you are going through it. Things do happen for a reason and only god knows why. I’ve said, in your other videos, you would make a great instructor because you have the qualities and personality to teach. I know you want to be your own boss so have you ever thought of being a mobile nail tech? Social media has made it so accessible to advertise your services. The best aspect is that you get to decide how much clientele and hours you want to dedicate to your profession. I’ve looked through quite a bit of RUclips videos regarding mobile nail techs and it seems like something I would love to do! That or have a mobile salon on wheels, just a thought. Stay strong in your faith , good things are coming your way! Just let go and let God take over! 🙏

I think feedback is important as well. But I know what I need to do. I looked into being a mobile nail tech but it's not allowed in Ohio. Thanks for the encouragement.

Aww Rita I'm so sorry honey. I suffer badly with anxiety and I overthink everything! I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. My daughter applied for a job at republic (clothes shop) in town which she was fairly confident she was going to get as the manager was sending out those signals. When she realises she didn't get it she got really upset as she was only 17. Anyhow I told her everything happens for a reason and got her to give her CV out into the shops in the mall. She got an interview at the jewellers Ernest Jones and got the job! 2 years later she's now assistant manager, earning more than me and republic went bust! There is a reason you wasn't supposed to get this job, there is better out there that will come your way you just have to believe! Sending you massive hugs from London! You got this xx

I agree whole heartedly 100 percent with Colene S. I had been rejected with the first company i applied. I really wanted to be with with this company I applied to. I thought with my channel it would give me a boost. I was dead wrong. I feel the need to speak up as a you tuber myself. I also hear your in my state and messaged you. I Can get you in to where in at as we need more techs. I want to cry the tears you are holding back. I'm fighting too lol. Just look fir other salons. Feel free to message me if your on Instagram. Just let me know. I said that too. Be greatful for that shut door.

It's discouraging and this is actually the 2nd company that did this to me. I'm like what happened to companies responding back one way or another 😒

You gained some knowledge from that interview and you didn't even know you needed it. Therefore, you still won in the end 🙂🙂
I really think you should stick to your own shop as well. You will be successful and more than likely, happier. People are evil and hard to trust these days...
Also, Thank you so much for the follow up and the messages as well. I needed to hear so much of what you said. My husband and I are preparing to move across the map next month and I have been beyond nervous, worried, afraid, scared, and everything else you can think of. New beginning, no family or friends around... Just the 2 of us in a brand new state we've never been to before 😬😬😥😕 But it is what we need for us to grow as a couple 🙂
Sometimes the signs we ask for come in a RUclips video 😊😊❤️❤️
