    One of my favorite movies

The fact that the music only starts now really highlights the fear settling in, from horribly misjudging a situation. The driver isn't just some regular ahole on the road, but a lunatic on 18 wheels, fixated on killing him.

There was never a time when they hit 95 MPH...Never....You can clearly see the film speed up, not the truck Clickbait... Get it together JenExxifer

Duel is a movie; it's entertainment, not Nascar. Spoiler Alert: The shark isn't real in Jaws either. Get it together Bruiser's Dilemma.

Actually if you read the trivia about the movie, the truck was fitted with an upgraded CAT 1673 engine and was turbocharged to give it an extra boost. The truck was able to reach speeds of 80 mph fully loaded. The truck may not have done 95 mph in the movie, but since it was lugging an empty tanker, it's likely it could have reached that speed in real life

@@jenexxifer Just like yourself, I was pointing out that no it's not the true speed, but they sure did a great job of making it look like it was through various camera effects for its time it was awesome, and simply done to terrify the audience, and it did.

Really? I thought it was a real shark.
Like the US Navy fighter pilot that had a Japanese girlfriend in Midway (1976)

This is a movie; it's fake, it's entertainment, and requires suspension of disbelief for ultimate enjoyment.
