The focus needs to be on keeping this report visible for as long as possible,to not let those who have risked everything to come forward to be forgotten. Measurable goals must be stated and acted upon. There needs to be accountability for following through on any recommendations put forth by Hema.People should be prosecuted if a true crime was committed. However additional tasks should include providing More roles in-front and behind the camera for women and LGBTQ+ members.
Only with opening the doors of opportunity will an improvement of the current unacceptable status quo be overcome.
Thank you for your video for providing the much needed visibility on this critical topic.

I thought for some time whether I should comment. But the current very disturbing emotional situation compelled me to comment.
First of all I want to make it clear I absolutely do not support the protest and emotion displayed by the common people in the street of Kolkata. I want them to remove the mask of their self before coming down to the road. And sorry I deteste the intellectuals who are coming down to the street.
I am greatly disturbed by the work place abuse and I have seen it very closely from both side. In a world famous internet company I have seen how female employees are sexually abused by their bosses. And I have seen how a male employee who used to sit face to face with me was mentally tortured because his wife as a professional lawyer took the girls' case.
Also I had witnessed how the guy used to drive my car was falsely accussed as an eve teaser where I had to fight my tooth and nail to save him as it was proved through CCTV he would not had a view of the lady as the lady passed him. I got so tired fighting for him for two full days I could not get up for next 3 days.
Now coming to your comment that report is a celebration of Malayalam cinema because of this report. I completely disagree. Sexual exploitation case cannot be a celebration. I am not sure which authority initiated the investigation. If Malayalam film organization had initiated also it is nothing to celebrate. I have seen it so closely to know how authority tries to bury these cases. It must have been completely out of control when they have initiated.
Also I have strong view about artist and their art. Yes art is eternal but if a man is an offender he is not an artist. I have no interest in somebody's personal life and absolutely do not care about multiple sex partners of somebody if it is consensual. But I do not consider the person as artist if the person is predator and exploits. His artistic expression has no meaning to me.
All different industry will most probably come up with same kind of report. But I am extremely disillusioned by Malayalam films off late and at least from my film experience I find it nothing extra ordinary. My personal view and definitely you can disagree.

Whether you like or dislike Malayalam cinema off late, is a personal choice but the fight WCC put up to initiate the commission and then get this report public must be celebrated. It is not celebrating sexual exploitation but the guts of the women of the Malayalam industry who got together to hit back knowing both personal and professional risks. You yourself spoke about fighting for someone where there were false allegations. Now do we celebrate that fight for the other that is becoming rare with each passing day or do we only tag the incident as a case of workplace harassment. We would look at the silver lining in the otherwise dark tale.

@@filmkopath I do not think the fight is getting reduced at all.
When a lady in a corporate fights against abuse and even a male stand up for the lady he or she is marked as problematic and avoided in a different company. I have experienced this with my colleague and he had to leave India to start his career in a clean slate.
But my experience is more and more ladies are protesting in micro level at least.
I disagree with you on the comment that Malayalam industry is showing the path. In recent Bengali incident in Bengali film industry indicates the protest is yhere in micro level and the protest was there against the same man previously in micro level. So a general initiation always occurs in micro level.
This issue is much more widespread and definitely not an industry specific and believe me rampant in Bangalore software industry.
In Kolkata RG Kar case when one or more people dare to rape and murder a lady doctor it does not happen in one day. It builds up with micro incidents which increases the courage of predators to take that step (if this murder is part of larger conspiracy also the sexual brutality occurred). I hope people understand thos point and before protest try to change themselves in micro level.
In film industry it is apparent because of the higher stake but we cannot take this as an isolated issue at all. It is there in every conceivable professional sphere in India (from house maid/servant to top government position). And protest is there in micro level also.

@xarup Its a bit difficult to understand your exact point. If it is about Malayalam industry getting undue attention be for WCC fight or be for their cinema, then we have discussed this before. Cinema is personal choice but as for the fight, they have started it long back and not today. The report is just one achievement but there’s so much more that they have been able to pull through. The Bengali industry is just about opening now though that needs to be celebrated as well like any other micro level fightbacks. And that is what we have also tried to suggest, every kind of resistance needs to be celebrated which you seem to not agree.

@@filmkopath my point is simple. I do not thin, Malayalam film industry is not explicitly showing a path. Micro level protest is very much there though outcome is limited.
Also without changing oneself in the micro level the protest has
      no value.

@xarup and do you think Malayalam industry is not changing at the micro level ? If yes, why ?
