Originality is anyway a myth after so many years of consuming media from all over the world, but when the films are able to do something interesting and surprise us irrespective of it then it becomes something special!! That's what Bahubali did and of course the people as well the producers took all the wrong lessons from it and now we have this!!
Bhool bhuliya 1 was moderately hit m.but now it was declared cult classic ..and I feel that since so many options are available thanks to ott and short videos on RUclips ...Indians have become so indecisive to give chance to something news , something different , something thats not their first choice , something not their taste ...but at the end they just pick the more safest option for entertainment...that franchise provides with no risk but nostalgia, validation to make gaze (majority audience are males) , cheap laughters, senseless music etc etc
Agreed with you Sir. I guess Malayalam movies are the only saving grace of Indian cinema in recent scenarios. In fact, some Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, and Telegu movies do some meaningful works that are cherished by the audiences as well.
FYI bahubali was designed to make more profit (the producer and director said the same to recover humongous budget) bahubali story no way justifies two part films Bahubali was fantastic at World building and presenting grand visuals but the story was mediocre at best
