- Purple Bee TV is a live music studio located in Volente, TX. With a state-of-the-art set up for video and audio capture, they stream and record live sets by diverse artists from all over the world. We were invited to do a set there in the middle of the beautiful Texan countryside.

This is one of the best bands I've stumbled on in a long time. Wow!!! Why bands like this fly under the radar is beyond me. They are better than 99% of the new music on the radio today.

Great performance! To the naysayers I say this: Sure, the similiarities are there to the other band (Khruangbin) but so what? Personally, I don't care. They're both great bands; one from Texas and the other from Columbia. I love this REFRESHING new sound. Nuff said!
Who’s saying nay? Chumps. They’re way different than Khruangbin… I’d say much more versatile and even jammy. Would love to see them live!
If you bothered to watch other videos by Balthvs and read the comments, you'd know "who's saying nay." That's what I was referring to. Second, anyone with discerning ears and eyes immediately recognizes the similiarities. Balthvs is not "way different" than Khruangbin sonically. Also, there's no denying Johanna's similarity to Laura Lee including her sexy moves while playing her instrument. Got that, chump? Outside of that, I too would love to see Balthvs live.
Hey! It's a good thing, nothing Nay to say! There is never enough Khruangbin or their doppelgangers. This is great! There's room for everyone, and this band has their own brilliance. It's a formula that works. Why not make it happen? Love them. Oh, and if you love this amazing trio, you might also like Glass Beams.👏 👏 👏

To Balthvs and everyone out there:
I've been a music lover since I could literally hear and go to concerts regularly. I've been listening to all genres of music for 25 years. I also listen to a lot of avant-garde music like classical medieval music (like Jordi Savall), jazz or Tool and I came across this band by chance only three weeks ago (thank you youtube algorhythm) and I tell you the music of this band has something deep in it. This is my first comment on youtube ever. I heard them live in Berlin last week, I traveled all the way from Munich just to see this band. I don't know if it's just me or if it's just a phase but this music is extraordinary in all aspects and the best I've ever heard in my life. This band is so underrated that it hurts, but that's the world and when I hear them they make me cry just because they are so good (just listen to Bird Song or Turkish Coffee or any other song in that video!). To say it with a quote from a movie: "I hope they never get famous" - you know what I mean! Having found this band makes me believe in something again!
Thank you Balthazar, thank you Johanna, thank you Santiago for the groove and this unforgettable night in Berlin! You lit it also up for me in Munich and in my heart!

Saw comments in which ppl are complaining about you guys are similiar to khrua but i feel the music is somehow similiar to each other, everyone less or more take inspirations from each other and thats ok if its done with taste and not just copy paste, your music like khrua and 60,70 rock, soul, jazz, blues, reggae are inspiration for me as well, i like your style which is imo a bit different than khrua, like more with other styles than just thai funk, soul or even rock, like this combination and for you ppl, enjoy the music not the genre. I love this...I'm hooked. So glad to have found BALTHVS...it was a product of having used Arc de Soleil music in some personal video content...what a score! This video has great production quality. I'm a Deadhead who loves playing this style of guitar. The Bird Song is very well done. Bravo. They're plugged into the vibe. I am looking forward to seeing them in Chicago in August. A new relationship with a band...so thankful!

Start to finish this was such a great performance. The extended ending to Turkish Coffee, In Lust, build up in Light It Up, guitar work in Famagusta Port are just a few of my personal favorites. Keep up the amazing work!

Was listening in background some music working, your came from the youtube algorhythms, sounded good, but for some reason I found myself wanting to look at you, not just listen to. Forgive me for saying this but it should all be instrumental. That would be insane. K.I.S.S. The guitar skills and vibe are absolutely mad. No voice needed and the Khruangbin guitar sonic wah filler should go too.
