I think Dead Space never gets credit for one thing. Isaac's growth as a protagonist. In the first game he's terrified and essentially running point to point trying to find Nicole and get off the Ishimura. In the second game, he's less scared, and becoming used to the situation. By the third game, he's essentially a certified badass. Many of my friends didn't understand something isn't scary when you're exposed to it over and over again. They reflected this in Isaac- by the third game, he's pretty much like "Oh... necromorphs. Eugh." Even though a lot of people disliked it, I firmly believe this is why they added Carver. His marker visions are incredibly disturbing to him, and Isaac is constantly trying to shake him out of them. Isaac is now the one fighting, and Carver is in Isaac's position from the first game. This is especially apparent in co-op. Isaac's commentary makes it clear he knows when he's hallucinating, while Carver seems to be stuck in them as Isaac tries to shake him out of them. NO ONE would stay scared for how long Isaac has been dealing with the necromorphs. By the end of the Ishimura you'd be bat shit insane. Plus, Isaacs progress with weapons is a mix of his engineering skills and his learning to adapt. He salvaged weapons, then he improved weapons, then finally he just turned everything into weapons. Even some of Isaacs commentary slowly reflects this. Near the beginning DS3 when the power cuts, he basically says "welp, here they come." on comms, while everyone else is confused. Isaacs commentary always felt more realistic to me, too. In one of the games when you find one of the queen'ish tentacles through the ship, I uttered "that's a big fing tentacle" to my friends, and like 15 seconds later Isaac says the exact same thing. I about died. Well, I did die, to horrible baby abominations, but IRL too.
Yes there is a clear sense of progression between the 3 games, still doesn't change the fact that DS3 as a whole still isn't on the level of quality of the previous 2 and the reasons are many and varied. Apparently Ben Wanat the creative director has gone on record saying they wished to make the third entry more personal, darker and more scaled back but EA wanted to go in the opposite direction. The crafting system too was never meant for microtransactions. That was EA's decision. That probably must have been why all weapons had universal ammo (which really sucked out the survival aspect of the survival horror, you can have a badass protagonist in a survival horror game, see RE4). This constant push and pull between creator and publisher ultimately took its toll on the title and while DS3 is by no means a bad game it is undoubtedly the weakest link in the trilogy. You're viewpoint certainly eases that a bit but it doesn't change the fact that EA's decisions, which were made solely for the sake of mass appeal led to the worst sales figured of all 3 titles, leading to EA giving up on the IP. The war between corporate greed and artistic vision continues, and both sides are not exactly thriving with the current way of things
Scynix Its nice to find someone who appreciates Dead Space 3 as well. I agree with everything you said. I feel like Dead Space 3 doesnt get enough credit.
DS4 was already in development, EA shitcanned it because it looked "too ambitious" and its lack of multiplayer made it a poor fit with EAs current MOAR MICROTRANSACTIONS policy..
There are only 3 chapters in awakening. The first letters from each chapter spell R.I.P. This means that: 1. Issac, Carver, and everyone on earth died. 2. Issac and Carver died. 3. Everyone on earth died.
It's been said in multiple interviews with the teams that they did not look at photos of human remains, they used animals in various states of decay for reference.
Yea that would be terrible, i remember if that would be true to being said done then would happen to that one mortal kombat developer who went to search gore picture and sites for which cost him to have bad memory bran scar for life.
@@iancruz6617 Lmao. There are people who watch gore stuff out of pure curiousity and if that's what it takes to be scarred then youre just sensitive and you shouldnt even think about searching up that kind of stuff.

Yeah, when people make horror games, they forget to add any sort of fun factor or replayability, that one reason a lot of horror games are so forgettable, you go through them once and you have no reason to do it again.
The RUclips Rookie fun fact,if you look at the first letter of every chapter in dead space 3.it spells BROTHER MOONS ARE AWAKE.probably knew that though, cool as fuck either way
nothing happen during the black marker .... it reacted different then the others it dosent mutate no one its a very perfect beacon the necromorphs are just a part of the Brother Moons they are micro organisms of a Brother Moon that enhance the range of that beacon nameley the Marker its also destroyed beacause of Earth Gov dealt with it back then .... and with Altman what they need to do is to progress and make a story were Isaac Kills the Brother Moons before killing earth ....
well there's also the fact that she shows up in random places..... completely unarmed, unharmed, and just generally giving off a "what your seeing isn't real" vibe.
You missed a very important little known fact. That Unitology was not actually formed by Michael Altman. Unitology was actually formed by the man who released a brute on Altman, in turn killing him, Craig Markoff. It's something that you learn if you read Dead Space: Martyr. Markoff used Altman's name and essentially disgraced it. Altman did not believe that the Marker was holy or divine in anyway. Simply put Markoff twisted everything that Altman released publicly about the Marker. He made it seem like Altman believed that it was a divine artifact. Just an interesting little fact you missed.
Altman finally figured out how to stop the necromorphs: with shitty sequel no jutsu! mass effect 3 style! not really against Dead 3 muself but i can see why it'd piss people off.
You could tell they were running out of ideas. Easily the shittiest part of the game. I'd go so far as to say the shittiest part out of all three games even through I haven't played 2 and 3.
wipe0utpuls3 definitely an over exaggeration. That part was awesome it just takes practice. They weren’t running out of ideas, the concept that you have to defend not only yourself but the SHIP as well from danger was a good idea. Made you feel like you had more to worry about then the necromorphs. (Asteroids, air supply, etc.
I bought 1&2 for my PS3 last year. Got through the first and half way through the second before I plugged in my PS4 again. I need to carry on when I get more memory space. Right now all that’s on my PS3 is MGS12&3. And I can’t fit anything else on there 😂
yeah thats exactly what i mean i tried playing that game again after 5 years of not touching it and it still scared the shit out of me within the first half hour
I didn't feel that Dead Space 1 was survival horror exactly but I did find it to be one of the best suspense-action shooters with horror elements that I've played.
One of the biggest differences between people who call it a survival horror and those who call it an action game is what difficulty they played on. And the understanding of what makes a game either a survival or horror.
I played it on Hard, the highest difficulty available from a fresh start. I must admit that I don't play many survival horror games so perhaps I simply don't have a good understanding of the genre. There were moments where my heart was pounding out of my chest but there were also times where I had plenty of resources and with some controlled breathing maintained a sort of calm in the face of unspeakable horror.
The genre has been changing, during the time that game became the idol because it was more advanced visually than anything before it. As games get better at what they can do, and the growth of newer types of games, the whole genre is becoming more defined. I do agree that the abundance of resources does pull away from both aspects, but I did cheese the saw and AI to be efficient because I am a cheap like that. I always felt like adding elements of sneaking and less linear environments, at times, would make it more of a horror by today's standards.
Oh don't get me wrong, the game scared me more than once but I'm one of those chickens who plays in a fully lit room so it was not nearly as bad as it could have been.
take the fucking scary atmosphere from the 1st game and the awesome storyline, voice acting, characters and soundtrack from the 2nd game and we have an amazing dead space game
The first game's infamous "Drag tentacle" sequence actually took so much time and effort that it nearly derailed the whole project. The tentacle had to be rigged so that it could grab Isaac from every possible position he could have been standing in the hallway, and slam him onto his back. Several new sets of animations had to be made for isaac being picked up and slammed, as well as shooting while on the floor with each weapon. To top it all off, because the tentacle could be destroyed at any point during the sequence they had to animate all of those too.
Well I found horror aspect only in first game. That atmo was... just perfect. Mining ship, dark messy non-polished construct by its own, and you found yourself in it separated, without clue whats going on in that damn ship. In second game i was like awww crap, here we go again. How is Ishimura in dock going. I loved it too but for its gameplay and extended mechanics. However story wasnt that great for me nor was atmo.
Conor Doyle That movie was literally one of the inspirations for the game, I still have my issue of Game Informer with the Dead Space cover and that movie is mentioned.
Yournextdoorgamer withgames I love that they shut down visceral even though they are the reason dead space 3 flopped, trying to force an action game even though they wanted a horror game
Sgnwarren same lol i was 16 when ds1 came out..played it how anyone should play a horror game and had girly screams like 3 times per sesh and heart was racing half the time LOL no regrets oh and fuck that self regen necromorph 😨😱
A game company like, say, Ubisoft needs to buy Dead Space off of EA and use the same formula that Visceral used. I’ve never played a Ubisoft horror game, but I trust they could make it be as good as Dead Space, Dead Space 2, And Dead Space 3
Jiangzell There won't be new Dead Space, because the devs are now focusing on their Star Wars game which its will reveal next year and release in 2018.
Derpo Crafting was shit. It has no place in a horror game like dead space. You are fighting JUST to survive. You shouldn't have so many resources that you are able to crap things
I didn't say you would have a bunch of resources, I just said I wanted the crafting system. I like the idea of you scavenging different weapon parts, and having your own style of survival against the necromorphs.
Solid Snake 1. There won't be new Dead Space for few years because the devs are now focusing on their Star Wars project. 2. There's no any company want to make Skate 4.
DS3 was still a very good game imo, but it obviously strayed away from its horror side and went with more of an action based game. Still had its scary part don't get me wrong, but not like DS2 or 1.
PureVanillaa scary parts? after beating that game many times the only thing that scared me was the feeder banging on the door, when that first happened I nearly had a heart attack
night shroud96 yeah but resident evil wint too non horror.ds3 at least had a chunk of scary bits, like the first part in the ship's and inside those buildings on the planet.
In DS3, the horror was less in the foreground, and more in the background. It was a lot of "what happened before?" I personally loved the 200-year call back, and especially exploring the old ships. Although one thing that bugged me... They apparently had folding helmets and holographic door signs 200 years prior, yet most of the screens are solid panels, there are manual cranks on the doors, and Isaac's suit in the first game had a removable solid helmet. What's up with that?
I remember how my first run's loadout went. I started off immediately dismantling the smg, and making a carbine. That worked for a while, then I got the bright idea to make a double revolver, whoch I used to surprisingly good effect for 3 missions. After that, I settled for my primary to be a shotgun with an underbarrel pulse rifle, and let me tell you, that weapon was a mix of clever and stupid. Because the shotty was my primary firing mode, I found a good balance of use between them, which, with the way the universal ammo works (1 clip minimum is used on reload, 4 to reload 1 gun module from empty), allowed me to better preserve my resources and craft better upgrades early on. The gun crafting in this game makes it so fun. My current run is kinda similar. Carbine with under barrel force gun, which was later swapped out for an underbarrel military shotgun, then modified to be a full auto AR, then, around the middle of mission 9, I just made a revilver with an underbarrel knife, and with my current circuits, it has excellent killing power and ammo efficiency. I plan to use it as my primary for a good chunk of the run(possibly to the end) and also use it early in my future coop runs with a friend who has decided to grab the game. It seems that whenever I do a fresh restart, I fiddle around at the start modifying my weapon as I go, and then, some tome between starting the mission 9 optional objective and the end of the next level, I get an idea and perfect my weapon. Making your own personal bfg is the perfect way to describe it.
dead space 1 terror me when playing it in dark in night. dead space 2 upgrade the graphic and awakrward silent protagonist Issac Clarke.. (best of all the triology especially when horde go to the black(or yellow) marker at last chapter) dead space 3 is it a horror game or Korean drama movie ?
Dead space 3 was less horror, more creepy and uneasy atmoshpere in many places... The coop also undermines the tension, BUT its still a great game. The coop was a great idea imho, you didnt have to use it and I (and many others) loved is so much that I only played it with a friend in the first run. Also the weapon upgrade system once it got rolling, oh my, so good.
Sure sure, so you dont consider the small humanoid alien-necros that are blind to be creepy. Or the part where you dont know when you will be attack by that unkillable creature. Or even just all the parts on ships before you get down to the planet? I thought it was creepy... Quite a bit less than 1 but still creepy, about the same as in 2.
Lol okey man, im a pussy because I think the game is creepy. I even agreed that its the least horror game of the bunch. Its still creepy, compared to any non horor games... FFS even Alan Wake is sometimes in the "horror" category and that game is far less creepy than DS3. All in all, I think you have a complex forcing you to make yourself seem better than others for reason that arent even there. You can categorize everything in a "i wasnt scared at all" group to make yourself seem tough, but it doesnt change the fact that some games (including DS3) are comparatively more creepy than the average...
Petr Novák Even Dead Space 2s multiplayer could be scary sometimes or at least thrilling. I remember in one game where you had to blow up some door to leave. You remember don't you?? You had to walk down the long corridors to get to that little terminal that you had to access and take some battery back or some dumb shit like that. Anyways, I'm walking along the corridors after just spawning back in and I hear some gruesome shit. I walk into a bloodbath that almost felt scripted. Each teammate dying just as I got to them. I end up taking out the necromorphs, but I'm the last guy. I grabbed the battery (remember you couldn't run when you carried that dumb shit) and made my way back with barely any sound other than me stomping my feet. This was before spitters and grenade launchers ruined the damn thing and the enemy team was a bunch of pack. I had one stalking from behind constantly and 2 more up ahead dodging my shit trying to taunt me. It felt like I was fucked the whole time and if one tried rushing me, they would all join in. Was scary as fuck since all I had left were line racks.
It's nice to show the hidden message in Dead Space, but you could've told about the other games! In Dead Space Extraction, it's WARREN LIES In Dead Space 2, I think there is no message, but i heard you could read DON'T TRUST NICOLE, not really sure In Dead Space 3, it's BROTHER MOONS ARE AWAKE In the Dead Space 3 DLC, it's simply RIP Gotta love that
DS1 and 2 was great, but DS3 was lacking horror elements. but DS3 got the weapon customize for AAA games did best during its days. besides, DS3 DLC actually redeemed itself with the horror elements.
Gimme Apen but the whole weapon customisation does not fit into dead space. A huge part of the horror is resource management, because you are always low on ammunition and you have to use the right tool (weapon) for the right situation in order to use the little ammunition you have effectively. Dead Space 2 went even farther with incorporating environment and necromorph body parts as weapons, meaning you have to improvise even more as there is even less ammo lying around compared to DS1. All this puts the player under constant stress … something I did not notice with DS3s ammunition system where you only got one type of ammo
Qwertworks I didn't realize there was only one ammo type until I was about 3-4 hours in. Stupidest idea ever, makes it senseless to have 2 different guns with 2 different mods on them. One of the things I enjoyed most about the 1st & 2nd as well as resident evil is managing what weapons to take and how much of each ammo type to bring in between safe zones. It adds another element that makes it more fun, I hated the customization in DS3 it felt sloppy and was confusing at first. Unlike Fallout 4's which is smooth and easy
I still dont see why people didn't like the 3rd one, out was just as good as the other ones, if not better. I'm just ready for a 4th one but I doubt that'll happen since visceral is out of business. Or maybe they will reboot it but I don't really like reboots because then you have to wait longer to see how the story will end.
Sean Brogan Quality over quantity any day. I would rather have a 5 hour quality game than a 5 hour game stretched to 10+ hours. When a game shows you everything it has, it is time to wrap it up. I think the game should have ended at chapter 10. Length of game doesnt mean moneys worth. Replay-ability is moneys worth to me. Dead Space 1 was a good one time experience. I gotta try DS2 now.
Just got Dead Space 1 and 2 for $5 on a steam sale. They're pretty good, and can even run on my pathetic laptop really well! I liked the fake-out ending of Dead Space 2.
Yeah im thinkin they added that dlc to end the series. the hidden chapter message in ds3 seems to have hinted at a ds4... They wouldnt put "Brother moons are awake" or whatever ONLY for the dlc.
Playing those games with the headphones on really can make things jumpy lol. I loved how they go thru the ceiling or air ducts or vents to get at u and how shooting them in the head still made them relentless.
As much as I missed the atmosphere of the other games in dead space 3 I had so much fun making ridiculous weapons like my electric nail gun that did crap damage but just caused the necromorphs to just spazz out
MGTOW Fantasy Zone Dead Space 3 was an amazing game for "what it was built to do" but when analyzing DS3 under the idea that it should mimic DS1 & DS2, it doesn't live up to their names. I personally think DS3 is a different type of game & should be treated as such. There were some cons, but also, I believe many overlooked pros (I must say- the psychopathic coop missions are pretty awesome). I would like to see a DS4 go back to its roots though with a title like the first two.
Not gonna lie, Deadspace 4 would be AWESOME!! My friend & I have actually been coming up with some funky ideas on the story. 1) Introducing 4 player gameplay where people play as John Carver, Isaac Clarke, Ellie Langford & (in an epic & probably predictable twist) Isaac's father (who disappeared somewhere in space during an engineering mission. This inspired Isaac to be an engineer, partly to look for his dad). Isaac's father would have been studying markers on like, another planet & ended up discovering how to prolong human like using the markers technology. 2) Titan station isn't the only space station (as far as I know). So what are the odds that Ellie (at the end of Deadspace 3) fled from the marker/brothermoon scourge on Earth & ended up on a space station? What are the odds that Isaac & John flew away from the Earth & the Brother moons & found the space station. 3) I think it would be pretty f**king awesome if you got the option to fly around in the USG Ishimura & used its mining tools (& possible weapons systems) to kill brother moons. Those are just ideas my friend & I would reckon should be in the next Deadspace game when it HOPEFULLY comes out. EA may be busy but come on! They ended the game on such a cliff hanger!! 😭
I got an idea that maybe have you face off against the necromorph that killed Miceal Altman Maybe have his ghost force the Black Marker(which survived) to emit a signal that repelles the Blood Moons, buying the people of earth some times
Dead Space is my favorite horror video game I have ever played. This game was so difficult, spine-chilling, and gruesome. It felt like you're in the game trying to survive a full-blown nightmare. Every aspect of the game tests you on whether you got balls, a skilled trigger-finger, and survival skills to make it to the plot resolution. Every bullet counts in the game; ya' miss a full round of ammo, chances of your survival is low. That's how it felt upon playing this game for the first time, epecially playing at Hard/impossible difficulty. Even to this day, where I have fully upgraded weapons, as well as my suit being fully upgraded, and having 999,999 credits in my store, I still get the chills runnin' through my spine when facing the necromorphs on particular circumstances in the game, such as facing a Hunter while oxygen levels are falling by Dr. Mercer.
Dead Space 3 was actually so good. After playing the first two, I was still totally cool with more horror done right with jump scares and actual scary shit, but I was one of the ones that was ready for the story to kinda... Go somewhere. Part 2 had some progression, but 3 really did set up a full on story. And if you think it had no moments of horror, then you clearly weren't enough of a Dead Space fan to dive into that Awakening DLC just to get fucked up by Dead Space 2 level murder OR to play it as Player 2, because Carver got some seriously fucked up alternate scenes.. Such an under-rated game.
Honestly, Dead Space 3 had too many issues but SOO much potential. Allow me to state my point and please give feedback. DS3 had the coolest crafting system, the ability to design your own personal weapon for once. It was a great idea, but... Universal Ammo and the fact that Flamers and Melee Weapons became useless. Not once throughout DS3 did I have to resort to a Melee Attack because I ran out of ammo. So if they added specific ammo and forced the use of melee as they did in DS2 (atleast I actually was during the Medical Bay... On the Ishimura... I know, I died a lot that day). Now about the Ships, I LOVE THEM. The CMS Terra Nova was possibly the most beautiful ship in the Fleet. I really felt a sense of Military Structure to them, although the Tram Stations were stupid to me. Now the "Backwater Ice ball of a planet".... It was... eh... There were moments while playing where I thought "Wow, SCAF Soldiers must've manned this wall and turrets to protect the outer sections of the Command Central". But for the most part, a lot of it didn't make sense. How did the Scientist lock himself in the machine and expect a SCAF Trooper to go through the entire opening process of the Machine... ALONE AT THAT?!?! I MEAN, THE TROOPER WAS SO STUPID HE LET MAHAD KILL HIM AFTER SEEING ALL THE DEAD TROOPERS?!?! The Suits were pretty cool though, but they didn't change aesthetically when you upgraded them (Referring to DS1). Anyways here's my ratings: Ships 7/10--Planet 5/10--Storyline 5/10 (I'd go up to a 10/10 if it wasn't for the stupid ending in the DLC)
Isaac is crazy. Even before encountering the Marker. He had the whole video file of Nicole's final message, watched it at some point before the start of the game, and was so traumatized he blocked it from his memory. That's why he never watches the end. That's why he's at the Ishimura in the first place looking for someone he should already know is dead. He's schizophrenic.
I have played the first one, and it felt very good, but I didn't finish it. I played and finished the second one several times and it honestly felt like it just improved everything on the first game: score, weapons, enemies, settings, etc. It is one of my favorite games. I know the third one was more focused at action, although I felt that even being like that, it is one of the best action games I've ever played. The cinematics and the scripted events looked so freaking good and breathtaking, and with the addition of custom weapon crafting, it is a game that I seem to appreciate more than most people.
Nosotros Locos What are you talking about? The 1st and 2nd one is 10x better than the 3rd one. The story is already complete. The human race was destroyed. What are there to continue?
Tweetug 36 Reboots are too risky. If done right, it can be a great new franchise. But if you made _one mistake_, it can be a failure. For me atleast, remastering it is less risky.
I just started playing this on my onex, man I love it, first time playing it actually (I did play part 3 tho). This game feels refreshing in a way, I've been online gaming it somuch that i forgot what a good dark 1 player game feels like.
Dan Edwards yeah The Thing is one of my favourite horrors. It's just I remember playing dead space alone at night for the first time and the level of horror I felt was great. I would like to see that implemented into a horror movie.
Dead Space 1 & 2 (3 was good, but to a lesser extent) are two of the best games I've ever played, not just from a gameplay standpoint, but every standpoint. Graphically all of them hold up today, even the first from almost a decade ago still looks years ahead of its time. They also had this incredible universe and lore that took inspiration from the Alien film series, The Thing, and various sci-fi literature, combining this elements that echoed other works of horror, while simultaneously creating something all its own. What a series and what a shame it's been dormant for so long.
I kinda feel like unitology is a parody... or rather a commentary, of religion as a whole, not just Scientology. Founded on insanity, spread through fantasy stories, driven by money, and used to manipulate and control... you could use that to describe a number of religions.
Arthur C Clarke didn't do "the novelization" of 2001. He wrote the story and most of the screenplay. 2001 was his brainchild. It's based on his short story : The Sentinel. The Sentinel, btw, is a game for the Commodore 64 (and other computers of the day) which influenced the design of most of the games we play today.
dead space 2 was my favorite dead space 3 was more based on action and didn't really give off that scary environment type feeling and it felt repetitive but creating your own guns was cool and other minor stuff tho the ending on the dlc was terrible as shit dead space the original was the one to give off more scare than 3 sadly I expected it to be better but ig not also the horrible down grade on the technology in the environment made me disappointed like dead space 2 your on titan station and all that rich beautiful dead space environment really made it one of my favorite games yet dead space 3 was okey but not great either
well thing abut the insight of the story....the first Dead Space had the most scary moments because Isaac sees the Necros for the first time and this is his first experience in a survive or die situation...dead space 2 was in a way like "i survived once I will survive again" type so, still scares but less at the same time....In dead space 3 Isaac is already sick of them and he isn't even afraid anymore...at least this is how i see it.
Scynix honestly this is the best way I've heard someone describe him as a character through all 3 games
You. I like you.
Give this man a cookie! And a big med kit!
The best way to describe the character 😎👍🏼

Its nice to find someone who appreciates Dead Space 3 as well. I agree with everything you said. I feel like Dead Space 3 doesnt get enough credit.
You know a game is special when you find videos talking about it 8 years after it came out.
Levi Ackerman Gothic?:D
the lore in dead space is fantastic. I love this series.

Rest in Peace, Visceral.
Darkness Prevails :-(
I JUST WANTED A SQUEAL. EA plz
I think it would have been 3, so I'm glad that the game died before it became basically Battlefront 2
DS4 was already in development, EA shitcanned it because it looked "too ambitious" and its lack of multiplayer made it a poor fit with EAs current MOAR MICROTRANSACTIONS policy..
SilverFurby Where did you hear that?
I think the world is ready.
Release Dead Space 4.
yes
ibkillah the Earth is pretty fked when those Planetary Moon Necromorphs and his Bros came
Dead space 3: Awakening pulled the "nicole is dead" thing and gives a hint to whether the dead space series is dead or not.
I'm The Wabbit fking spoiler. i still 47% man
There are only 3 chapters in awakening. The first letters from each chapter spell R.I.P. This means that:
1. Issac, Carver, and everyone on earth died.

Dead Space is the best combination of horror and action in one game
Jesus Palacios Yes sir it is.
Ever heard of fortnite? That game can turn kids into fortnite addicted zombies
I would agree with you
Yeah, when people make horror games, they forget to add any sort of fun factor or replayability, that one reason a lot of horror games are so forgettable, you go through them once and you have no reason to do it again.
Agreed. Other games will usually skew too much towards action when they try to balance this, which ruins the horror aspect for me.
NICOLE IS DE......ALING WITH THE HOT ONES.
The RUclips Rookie fun fact,if you look at the first letter of every chapter in dead space 3.it spells BROTHER MOONS ARE AWAKE.probably knew that though, cool as fuck either way

We want more. Make more stuff like DS1 &2 EA please.
Yes.
can u make a video on what u know about destiny 2?
Do strange facts about mega man
gameranx Yes please. I enjoyed dead space so much. It's such a unique game. I would love to see at the least one more game in the franchise.
i want dead space 4
I need Dead Space 4 in my life. I loved all 3 games.
spam the fuck out of EA's twitter, threaten to not buy any more EA games or DLC im sure that will get their attention
Pepe the Frog I won't loose hope! Just one more game to wrap up the series and I can die happy.
what they need is a prequel that either covers what happened on the ishimura or the original black maker event.
don't be such a pessimistic.
nothing happen during the black marker .... it reacted different then the others it dosent mutate no one its a very perfect beacon
the necromorphs are just a part of the Brother Moons they are micro organisms of a Brother Moon
that enhance the range of that beacon nameley the Marker
its also destroyed beacause of Earth Gov dealt with it back then .... and with Altman
what they need to do is to progress and make a story were Isaac Kills the Brother Moons before killing earth ....

He said, nicole is de
well there's also the fact that she shows up in random places..... completely unarmed, unharmed, and just generally giving off a "what your seeing isn't real" vibe.
I'm being facetious of course.
It would be interesting if DS4 makes this a major plot point
ye but there's no dead space 4
and there never will be Dead space 4
Altman finally figured out how to stop the necromorphs: with shitty sequel no jutsu! mass effect 3 style! not really against Dead 3 muself but i can see why it'd piss people off.
Martyr was a great book, definitely shined alot of light on the series
#11: The developers were on mind altering substances when designing the meteor shooting sequence.
@Nick K ehem... Me i did it with more then 70% health i didn't find it hard at all I'm on mouse and keyboard though

Dead space may be a classic.... But dead space 2 is one of the greatest games ever made.
OmegaSconer agreed
OmegaSconer that title goes to knack
Rare that a sequal is as good or better as the original and dead space 2 did that.
Very true.
Yeah
I'd rebuy a Dead space collection if they sold it
I bought 1&2 for my PS3 last year. Got through the first and half way through the second before I plugged in my PS4 again. I need to carry on when I get more memory space. Right now all that’s on my PS3 is MGS12&3. And I can’t fit anything else on there 😂
minus DS3?
patrick Katalenas absolutely, that game sucks
I’d even pay full price for some Switch remasters
Bro Please say you are playing Dead Space Remake!
Dead Space series is my favorite, and only, horror game series I enjoyed.
Spawn Cap ferret
im sry... have you never played fear?
dead space is a lot more enjoyable than fear and yes ive played every dead space title and every fear title
+catfartz x you mean Fuck Everything And Run?
yeah thats exactly what i mean
i tried playing that game again after 5 years of not touching it and it still scared the shit out of me within the first half hour
Dead space deserves a remastered edition brought to next gen! Anyone else agree?
Gabriel Melendez We deserve Dead Space 4!!!
no
FULLY.
No, fuck no, just make a new DS.
Yeah... maybe we can't hope more for new DS,but at least remastered
I find it pretty horror intense. I had problem playing the first 4 chapters because i would get too nervous
Oh don't get me wrong, the game scared me more than once but I'm one of those chickens who plays in a fully lit room so it was not nearly as bad as it could have been.
Who else thinks dead space 3 was actually good? Not nearly as good as the first two but still good.
jazz3911 It was a little too easy to get the handcannon... it was great though, lot's of suits and weapon combinations
Me too...
It was a great game but fucking Christ it's so fucking annoying having Norton be a jealous jack ass.
Joseph Hall Well not for me. I always built a new weapon all the time
jazz3911 to me i th ought it had the best story and level desighns, but confusing and bad weapon mechanics
We need Dead Space 4 in our life
Yes, but they need to make it similar to Dead space 1 and 2 and not 3
Daky1001 lol, we think alike dude. 1 was awesome
I need it with the dead space 1 atmosphere and hard to kill enemies and dead space 2 storyline like and good characters and a beautiful soundtrack.
take the fucking scary atmosphere from the 1st game and the awesome storyline, voice acting, characters and soundtrack from the 2nd game and we have an amazing dead space game
would isaac be the protagonist? i mean, what happened at the end of dead space 3 is leading me to believe that he's dead
Deadspace 1 was the best! The game is tooo good and horrifying
Frying Enigmas I love dead space but when you replay number 1 you will notice alot of things that make the game... less scary and more funny
ShinySilver Fish I'm not understanding..
Howya Doin not scary the second time around and instead having a laugh at the rag doll effects. That's what he means
However story wasnt that great for me nor was atmo.
amythocz yeah the atmosphere was amazing i really hope they remake ds 1 from the ground up
I always thought the monsters in dead space looked a lot like the monsters from the movie 'the thing'
The parallels of both entities are just too close.
Conor Doyle That movie was literally one of the inspirations for the game, I still have my issue of Game Informer with the Dead Space cover and that movie is mentioned.
The Thing is my all time favorite horror movie.
Unversed Wolf they need to make a thing game for xbox 1 ps4 and PC graphics today can capture it better than ps2 and og xbox
***** :( to bad we will probably never get one
We want Dead Space 4!
Plus a remaster for at least the first :D
Simon R same
Simon R won’t happen, ea shut down the process due to not making enough because dead space 3 flopped, R.I.P. dead space series. Fuck ea
Yournextdoorgamer withgames I love that they shut down visceral even though they are the reason dead space 3 flopped, trying to force an action game even though they wanted a horror game
It still looks good on pc.
Simon R that'd be nice but since visceral games is out. EA might put a twist in it like any other game lately.
I would even pay for a just a dead Space remaster collection.
trevafoser SAME
trevafoser I mean they pretty much demo'd it with the unreal engine here.
To be honest though, they don't really need a semester just yet. The graphics, to this day, STILL look amazing!
Agreed, it wouldn't be much of an upgrade as the games, all three, still look as good as many PS4 titles.
You got your wish
We need this series back. Just not like DS3. Less love and romance, more buzz sawing necromorphs
More creepy horror than action game would be nice.
I loved this game, but could never play it for more than an hour at a time, it scared the hell out of me 😂
playing it rn and saaaaaaaaaaaame
GokuzKamehameha I tried in deadspace 2, and i died in intro
Sgnwarren same lol i was 16 when ds1 came out..played it how anyone should play a horror game and had girly screams like 3 times per sesh and heart was racing half the time LOL no regrets oh and fuck that self regen necromorph 😨😱
I spent about 3 hours straight one time playing Dead Space 2. I went through about 4 chapters
Everytime a heard a roar or creppy ass sound i would put down my control and say fuck it
For me like Alien and The Thing movies mixed atmosphere. .....love it
+Gabensy
Pretty much, but I agree.
Dead Space 2 was one of the best gaming experiences i've ever had.
I liked all three Dead Space games. I would definitely play a Dead Space 4.
visceral games is dead
A game company like, say, Ubisoft needs to buy Dead Space off of EA and use the same formula that Visceral used. I’ve never played a Ubisoft horror game, but I trust they could make it be as good as Dead Space, Dead Space 2, And Dead Space 3
@@squeguinquack2570 Hell no, not Ubisoft, they're shit.
I think we need a DS 1 and 2 remaster, please...
Just why?
so much yes.
Yeah dude I would kill for a Dark Souls remaster.
Dead space.
PhrozenFox I'd take that too.
We need a Dead Space 4!!!
Dick Deepinsideher It's in development I believe.
***** I hope so! My favorite horror franchise sitting right next to Silent Hill 😆
Jiangzell There won't be new Dead Space, because the devs are now focusing on their Star Wars game which its will reveal next year and release in 2018.
yep viseral games been doing the shitty star wars games
LotsaLOUD Nah, the game looks great tho. Like a combination of Assassin's Creeds and SW KOTOR.
i need dead space 4. and make it like 1 and 2 not like 3
I would like Dead Space 4 to have the style and atmosphere of 1 and 2, but I would also like the crafting system of Dead Space 3 in there.
Pepe the Frog unfortunately thats probably true
NJF Productions thank you lol
We need a new Dead space and skate.
Just combine the two and call it a day...
Solid Snake
1. There won't be new Dead Space for few years because the devs are now focusing on their Star Wars project.
2. There's no any company want to make Skate 4.
Relentles Reaper I find that comment funny because you actually can play as Isaac Clark in Skate 3
And here I was just joking... natural talent that is
+ProSonicDagan I actually use the zombie cheat code with that and call it Dead Skate. XD
Resident Evil suffered this too but it seems to try to return to the horror roots...
night shroud96 yeah but resident evil wint too non horror.ds3 at least had a chunk of scary bits, like the first part in the ship's and inside those buildings on the planet.
ZombiePotatoSalad I think the helmets can fold or be removed I guess...
Preference of the wear, I suppose..
I liked ds3, it wasnt the best compared to the other 2 games, but the fact that u could create your own bfg's was awesome
I wish that there will come a Remastered man.. love this game..
Yonas Especially with better optimised controls on the PC (the first Dead Space).
Alexander Vynogradov
Optimize for both, so the company makes money
Yeah but if they do remaster them they will be on Origins which I don't like using :(
Yonas yeah but ea has a stupid idea that remaster aren't for them.

dead space 1 terror me when playing it in dark in night.
dead space 2 upgrade the graphic and awakrward silent protagonist Issac Clarke.. (best of all the triology especially when horde go to the black(or yellow) marker at last chapter)
dead space 3 is it a horror game or Korean drama movie ?
Dead space 3 was less horror, more creepy and uneasy atmoshpere in many places... The coop also undermines the tension, BUT its still a great game. The coop was a great idea imho, you didnt have to use it and I (and many others) loved is so much that I only played it with a friend in the first run. Also the weapon upgrade system once it got rolling, oh my, so good.
Petr Novák Lol it wasn't creepy in the slightest. If you pre ordered the game you already had access to the strongest weapons and 2 upgraded suits
The chapter in Dead Space 2 where you return to the Ishimura is most likely the most haunting moment in any video game ever oh my God
It's nice to show the hidden message in Dead Space, but you could've told about the other games!
In Dead Space Extraction, it's WARREN LIES
In Dead Space 2, I think there is no message, but i heard you could read DON'T TRUST NICOLE, not really sure
In Dead Space 3, it's BROTHER MOONS ARE AWAKE
In the Dead Space 3 DLC, it's simply RIP
Gotta love that
6:24 mean AF, Nicole Is Deaf!
Ds3 and EA ruined the franchise. Period.
Praise the Sun!
I don't think we need a remastered the art style is great and still looks good. what we need is a dead space 4
Mining in space? Like a serious Red Dwarf....

I miss Dead Space :,( one of the best games i ever played
Please omg we need this remastered the moment I heard somebody took the dead space assets and recreated dead space with the new unreal engine
You know what's better than a remaster a remake csuse that's what it's getting
This game had such a bright future ahead, ea made sure it didnt happen
This game was definitely on par with Capcoms Resident Evil 4 and above.
Louis Brooks RE4 was the inspiration for this game.
Lol. no Way. GIVE an example
Dead ass. Resident evil 4 was great.
Jaegerjaquez no no
Dead Space 1 and 2 are way superior to Resident Evil 5 and 6.
Isaac Clarke, everyone's favourite traumatised sweetheart.
Dead Space 3 was epic.
The story unfolding, the alien race, the markers, the brethren moons, oh my god such an epic adventure.
Word!
Miss the dead space franchise
one of my most favorite game series! sci-fi horror at it's best.
Still waiting on a full version of in the air tonight for that ds3 promo..
At the time, fist game was so unique and good. Even if it copied RE4 mechanic at some measure.
I played it this year for the first time and thought it was great. Should have been a little shorter but it was pretty good aside that.
wat ? WTAF you get a long game and you complain? That's your moneys worth right there
Sean Brogan Quality over quantity any day.
I would rather 1 scary game than 2 mediocre ones
why so much hate on DS3, it was fantastic.
Mir Daniyal it was terrible
Magicpaper1337 well, almost everyone says that, but still i enjoyed it very much.
residentwolf19 same here brother

I liked it too.
TRENEX 379 yes exactly
Just got Dead Space 1 and 2 for $5 on a steam sale. They're pretty good, and can even run on my pathetic laptop really well! I liked the fake-out ending of Dead Space 2.
Favorite horror series! thanks for this video~
I like dead space, i have no idea how they would comtinue the story after the dlc in ds3 though.
Fredrik Löfstedt Exaaactly.
Yeah im thinkin they added that dlc to end the series. the hidden chapter message in ds3 seems to have hinted at a ds4... They wouldnt put "Brother moons are awake" or whatever ONLY for the dlc.
The #1 Product in Walmart Why? There is more stories to tell.
Playing those games with the headphones on really can make things jumpy lol. I loved how they go thru the ceiling or air ducts or vents to get at u and how shooting them in the head still made them relentless.
I'm guessing a dead space 4 is in the works
atrelopian678 Nope, they are busy with hardline and other shit. They said they could consider it if they have the money.
Damn I want to know what happened to earth
David Alcaraz They already finished Bf Hardline last year, they're now focusing on their Star Wars project with other groups.
I really hope that Dead Space 4 will release in near future.
As much as I missed the atmosphere of the other games in dead space 3 I had so much fun making ridiculous weapons like my electric nail gun that did crap damage but just caused the necromorphs to just spazz out
the graphics from all dead space game where really good its like you where play on current gen consoles
Abram Anguaino i remember how good ds2 looked back then,
And EA killed this beautiful franchise with Micro-transactions and crappy pther ideas in Dead Space 3.
And now they killed the franchise by killing it's creator, Visceral Games.
What don't they kill
+Troll lord The Sims. They tried to a few times, but they usually realise it brings them more money if they leave it alone.
And the brutal cold blooded murder of Viserial games
The GREATEST gaming experience of my life. Dead Space.
Dead Space 2 multiplayer was AWESOME btw. Playing as the necromorphs was just the best.
I really want dead space 4 and dead space trilogy HD remaster.
I got an idea that maybe have you face off against the necromorph that killed Miceal Altman
Maybe have his ghost force the Black Marker(which survived) to emit a signal that repelles the Blood Moons, buying the people of earth some times
4 player is too much unless the enemies and resources scale appropriately
Mercer.
I hope Dead Space 4 becomes a thing. I want to kill more meat moons.
*bretheen moons*
Michael Myers if you think ds3 was better than 1 or 2 you can eat shit
Shoot Me lmfao kiddo
@@megacrane833 guess people can't have diffrence opinion
I loved ds3. it wasn't a bad game at all its just the first 2 were so good
does the latest The Thing movie get inspired from this game? also those unkillable necromorphs are just fucking scary and epic
It got inspired from the Carpenters 1982 The Thing if you refer to the gory stuff
I want the dead space collection please
am I the only one who thought ds2 was the best? I mean you could run and stomp so much faster!
The cinematics and the scripted events looked so freaking good and breathtaking, and with the addition of custom weapon crafting, it is a game that I seem to appreciate more than most people.
how dare you make me think there was a new dead space by making a video about it.
I'm trying to watch this video but this one player keeps kicking my ass
3:33- That's crazy. I had no idea. I think there's some intricacy, I've noticed 3 stages of intensity.
Someone sunk time into programming this!
Thank you Falcon for another cool video.
I hope they remaster the 1st and 2nd one.
RFX on the Internet orrrr just make a new game that doesn't suck
Nosotros Locos
What are you talking about? The 1st and 2nd one is 10x better than the 3rd one. The story is already complete. The human race was destroyed. What are there to continue?
Reboot?
Tweetug 36
Reboots are too risky. If done right, it can be a great new franchise. But if you made _one mistake_, it can be a failure.
For me atleast, remastering it is less risky.
RFX on the Internet they could reboot or just create a new story. I hate remasters, I've already played the games.
I just started playing this on my onex, man I love it, first time playing it actually (I did play part 3 tho).
This game feels refreshing in a way, I've been online gaming it somuch that i forgot what a good dark 1 player game feels like.
I don't want a new Dead Space, I want a remaster of DS1... & for the damn DLC for the games to be on PC.
this comment age well
i want dead space 4 or spinoff dead space
Never knew about the decaying goat, the fast menu music and the N I C O L E I S D E A D thing. This reinvigorates why I love dead space
deadspace in vr would be amazing :)
Yeah people would be shitting their pants.
No. No. Just no.
You would shit markers. See what I did there?
You can all you need to do is launch it the media player with the HTC vive it's the closes thing to VR you can get. It's still awesome.
@@KinkyNothing Why not tho? Too sp00ky?
I would like to see a dead space horror.
Mark McColl yeah horrors are the best???
Mark McColl Dead space is a horror game lol
Zetho ツ Yeah I already knew that. What I'm saying is I'd like to see it adapted into a horror.
check out the thing
Man im such a pussy when it comes to horror games so I haven't finished this game....
Abitosh lol same
Abitosh push through. you're gonna feel so good if you do finish it.
Abitosh You can finish the third game then
I kinda feel like unitology is a parody... or rather a commentary, of religion as a whole, not just Scientology.
The Sentinel, btw, is a game for the Commodore 64 (and other computers of the day) which influenced the design of most of the games we play today.
make more I need background noise while I smoke my drugs
yes indeed, mmm yes a very intellectually consise contribution to our conversation. bravo sir.
ah yes jolly ol'dick bags
Really wish I could see the deleted comments
Number 4 aged so well
What made the first DS so damn scary, was the fact you are alone with no one around you. DS 2 you at least had help and meeted up with npcs.
dead space 2 was my favorite
dead space 3 was more based on action and didn't really give off that scary environment type feeling and it felt repetitive but creating your own guns was cool and other minor stuff
tho the ending on the dlc was terrible as shit
dead space the original was the one to give off more scare than 3 sadly I expected it to be better but ig not also the horrible down grade on the technology in the environment made me disappointed like dead space 2 your on titan station and all that rich beautiful dead space environment really made it one of my favorite games yet
dead space 3 was okey but not great either
Punctuation.
well thing abut the insight of the story....the first Dead Space had the most scary moments because Isaac sees the Necros for the first time and this is his first experience in a survive or die situation...dead space 2 was in a way like "i survived once I will survive again" type so, still scares but less at the same time....In dead space 3 Isaac is already sick of them and he isn't even afraid anymore...at least this is how i see it.
+LaMereACaniche Haha. 😄
