Fit a cooler That way you will never know you needed it. Only been doing trans for 37 years. Not once have I had anyone regret fitting an auxiliary cooler.
I had connected line transmission out to water cooy to air+fan transmission cooler and return fluid to transmission crank. The temperature lower than engine water tempety 20 degrees cencious.
ford would probably try to void your warranty if there was an issue with the transmission stating that this modification caused the fault. That being said if the fault was proven to be caused by our product it would be covered by us.
no the internal thermostat was still installed. We try and keep our kits as DIY as possible and dropping the pan to remove the thermostat would likely scare people away from doing it. Also without the thermostat, in cold climates the transmission would likely not reach a proper operating temp. there was only slight variation in temperature between the days and time of individual runs.
Hi. I just installed a transchill cooler. I have a scanguage 2. I still get 97C without load. My rig has steel bumpers front and rear, plus a winch. Is 97C normal or did i do something wrong in my install? Appreciate the feedback. Thank you.
interesting. I would just double check how the core are connected, making sure they are connected up in series. Otherwise shoot sales@directionplus.com.au an email with some pics of the install and we will see if we can find out whats going on
Most 4WD with diesel engine run a engine driven fan which will provide additional air flow at low speeds. How ever we are developing a fan option for our kits, which should be available in the later part of the year.

At last a decent test, thanks this was a very useful video.
Glad it was helpful! appreciate the feed back
from temprature difference
transmission oil temp with air cooler
97 ----->> 77 no load
99 ----->> 86 trailer load
110 ----->> 92 boat load
degree celcius

Thank you

Awesome video. Thank you so much for posting it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi good video except music bit too loud. What about Ford warranty, not sure they support a modified trans. Any thoughts?

Did you remove the transmission tempature regulator from inside the trans ? And each day approx what
was the difference in ambient Temp?

by blocking the main radiator ,did you had any increase of engines temperature?
we didn't record any measurable difference while we were testing
@@DirectionPlus thank you sir
Thanks for making this video..really helpful

Nice video 👍
Thanks 👍
Steering wheel on the inside right side? I take you guys are not in the United States?
nope Australia, would be interesting if it would fit on the US ranger though. Do you still you the speed auto?
@@DirectionPlus didn't understand your question?..sorry.
Yeah one of those weird foreign right hand side steer countries..
Does this have the dual or single cooler fitted?
dual cooler on this particular test
How does using an air cooler go when at low speed / not much airflow, such as working it in soft beach sand for long periods?
Most 4WD with diesel engine run a engine driven fan which will provide additional air flow at low speeds. How ever we are developing a fan option for our kits, which should be available in the later part of the year.
On the 200series is this trans cooler in addition to or replacement of factory trans cooler?
in addition do the factory cooler
